This review is primarily about the prepared food section which is enormous. It rivals Wegmans in terms of size and variety. Okay, Wegmans does have the edge, but the prices are far better here. From the delicatessen, to the La Carte prepared entries, bakery, Noodle bar, sushi bar, lots of chicken choices, many dozens of ready to eat meals plus many made to order choices in all these spaces. I've never had good supermarket sushi some reluctant to try but even that looks better than most. It's right next to the fresh produce section which I must say looks a heck of a lot better than any other Star Market I've been to. On the spectrum from Whole Foods and Russo's to Lambert's at the low end, I have to say this Market is closest to Whole Foods in terms of presentation and the freshness look of the products. They must do a big business in prepared foods because it's very well staffed. The cheese Shop looks pretty good too, and they sell wine. Okay, I tried the spicy tuna sushi because it was on promo sale for six bucks. I thought you wasn't bad but keep in mind I'm here at 11:00 in the morning. Your experience picking sushi after it's sat all day maybe different.

Mark, one of the guys who'd been here for awhile, with the dark hair and beard, helped me when merch is misrang. Really good employee. He says he knows the other depts are doing a shoddy job (bakery is absent, not pricing and also mispricing merch) and apologetic about the mishaps his coworkers make. Give the man a raise! He says the upside is since the product was mispriced, they refund the full price. I didn't realize what he said until I looked at my receipt. I think he's the only one following co policy and doing that. Good guy. Weeks later, and sale items STILL continue to ring up full price every visit. So again, straight to customer service. What sucks is despite wasting your time, they'll now only refund the difference instead of refunding it all back, unlike before.

    Stuffed clams with no clams

buyer beware if you're looking to buy stuffed clams, walk away from buying Matlaws , it is stuffed with more bread than clams, we couldn't even taste the clams it was like eating the stuffing you make at Thanksgiving

My rotten spaghetti squash, rivaled only by the crap customer service.

The absolute worst supermarket. I live less than 1 mile from this supermarket, so I've been here countless times. As others have mentioned, the groceries here are "high-priced garbage" and the shopping experience is "consistently bad." Due to one bad experience after another, I actually decided I would send in a formal complaint. The phone number on their site didn't work and after filling out the contact form, it wouldn't even go through. Yesterday after months of avoiding this place, I finally went back (like a fool). Today, when I cut my spaghetti squash open, the entire inside was rotten and moldy. I am not even going to go back to ask for my money back, because that is how much I despise this place. Avoid at all costs.

Take pictures of your sale items, particularly for alcohol. Otherwise you're likely to be ripped off. Consumer protection? None.

It was more of an egg omelet cooked with some crab rather than a lump of mostly crab meat, but it was soft, savory, and delicious. The kimbap was also delicious and was restaurant quality for less than restaurant prices. Unlike the Central Square location, this HMart does not have a Paris Baguette inside or a seating area in the front, so you'll need to take your grab-and-go items somewhere else to eat. The variety of items was about the same though, with premade korean foods, premade sushi and sashimi, and many aisles of Asian frozen foods, produce, and packaged foods. I would definitely come back here again!

The location is prime and this is such a great addition to Davis Square. This supermarket had lots of food, drink, and skincare options. Like other Hmarts, they also carry typical brands and I found everything I needed just fine despite worrying it wouldn't have everything because it was slightly smaller. It was pretty packed when I went during lunch but checkout didn't take too long. There's a promotion where you can get a free mug if you're a member with the option to get a kimbap packet or strawberry milk for $1 if you spend over $50. Everything was fresh, clean and service was quick! Staff was at every corner and everyone was helpful.

All the platters looked fabulous. The sandwiches were actually stuffed with meat and cheese and vegetables. As for the fruit and the veggies, the platter with super fresh. I think I found my new place to go for inexpensive big platters. They're worth every penny. The great thing about being at Stop & Shop picking up these platters we also were able to get a bunch of sodas, plates, plastic knives, and forks, etc. one stop shopping. As with All stopping shops, they have a large parking lot so parking is not a problem. I'm not sure of the cleanliness of the store as I did not enter. They were ordered on the phone and others picked up the platters. But all the Stop & Shop that I have gone in uphold a supermarket cleanliness. Anyway, I would definitely suggest if you want to get a platter for $30 or $40 or $50 to feed a few friends during a football game or a family get together. This is the place.

Nice market, great architectural touches, elegant, upscale, the prices reflect that! A pretty nursery upon entrance, on their grounds, huuuge. The selection of food isn't amazing, but you can get what you need. Their bakery is pretty good and prices are Ok-ish, but a quick Tip: shop early, otherwise, the items go fast! We liked their muffins, tried blueberry, cranberry orange, apple and cinnamon. Big, fluffy, full of fruit and flavor! Danishes are on the small sizes, nice croissants. Loved their ham and cheese and turkey and cheese pastries as well. Their cranberry pecans small rolls are nice for coffee. Juice selection is minimal and prices are high! Service varies- most of the folks we dealt with were nice, one cashier just OK. They even had a party the Sunday we were there but we were out and about in town. Cute grocery store, super clean, came in handy while staying in the area during our Boston trip!

Also, if you ever shop here after 9pm, there will be a ridiculous obstacle course of stock carts in the way, blocking aisles, shelves, and refrigerator doors. Not sure how this wouldn't be considered a safety hazard, not to mention the obvious fact that it's terrible for sales and customer service to be blocking customers from the products they are there to buy. When orders are mishandled, management has not provided effective assistance or solutions. But having a customer have to wait 7 business days to receive a refund, but you don't know this is the only funds that a customer has (money-wise, EBT, etc.). The Star Market app has ongoing technical issues, including frequent glitches, incorrect address selection, and problems with item substitutions. This is why it's hard for a customer to trust your app. These issues have persisted for over a year, resulting in orders being delivered to the wrong addresses. When I have contacted the store for assistance, staff have not taken responsibility or provided effective support, which is frustrating given the time invested in shopping. The process of using Uber and DoorDash for delivery is inefficient, often requiring customers to cancel and restart their orders, which is inconvenient and reflects poorly on the company. Star Market should address the app's technical issues, enhance customer service and delivery processes, and ensure customers receive timely support when problems occur. Additionally, policies with third-party delivery services like Uber and DoorDash should be revised to provide greater flexibility for shoppers.
