Chinese dinner for Thanksgiving [Langley, BC Canada]…read more The entire U.S. is pretty much closed for the Thanksgiving holiday so before crossing the border to return to WA we stopped for dinner at Langley (east of Surrey). We made it 40 mins approaching closing time with one other party of 3 diners inside. We browsed through the menu quickly and selected Beef Chow Fun (less bean sprouts) and Combo C (chow mein, honey garlic pork, almond chicken, Szechuan beef chop suey). The portions were huge and we could've shared the Beef Chow Fun and we would've been full. I really liked the chow fun, very flavorful with tender beef. The Combo C was just okay to me. Good customer service even when we were the last ones to leave the restaurant. Exchange Rate 11/28/24: $1 USD = $1.40 CAD Review #3605

Undercooked noodles with three shrimp and five tiny pieces of chicken, gloppy stodgy chicken with black bean sauce - far too much corn starch, veggie Manchurian rice which was undercooked and way too spicy. I ordered the Cantonese Special Chow Mein (crispy noodles) and the portion was so generous. It was full of bok choy, barbecue pork, chicken, and shrimp. I still couldn't believe the amount of food I got for $11.60, which is several dollars cheaper than other places for the same dish. Their menu is extensive and the food is ready quickly and is piping hot. I will most definitely be back to try out their other dishes. Note: they only do takeout or delivery, no dine in

The waitress was very attentive. I eat Chinese food a lot and I don't think the taste of these dishes are entirely authentic. Out of all the food eaten, the chicken corn soup was the most. I think if you come in with that expectation, you would find the food to be decent. By all means, it's certainly not bad but I found the fried chicken, rice, and noodles to be particular lacking in flavour. It's less so when paired with other salty dishes but they should be able to stand on their own. The sweet and sour pork and chicken retained a nice crunch and it was good. I wouldn't willingly go if it was up to me and overall, the food was okay but they're great at serving large parties and apparently have been around for a while.
