I went up and checked before, during and post work and we are so pleased. We are now properly vented and have airflow, have all areas sealed, vent fans sealed correctly and enough insulation. It took only about an hour for the estimate, including the 1/2 hour the gentleman took to write it up and provide photos, work to be done and costs (in a color pamphlet!). He also reviewed what was found and what work should be done and why. We were really impressed. The actual work was scheduled week later and took 2 days (did not take an entire day each day). They were quick, clean, put up plastic barriers to protect the walls, house and floor. No leakage of any debris or old soiled insulation occurred. 10/10 would hire again. Note: they took care if the PSE rebates and were recommended by PSE.

The proposal I received included several additional services that I did not request. I simply asked…read morethat those items be removed so the proposal reflected the scope I originally asked for. The proposal itself already included a clause stating the work would be considered partial remediation with no warranty attached, so liability concerns had already been addressed in writing. Instead of adjusting the scope, the company withdrew the proposal and sent an email suggesting my request to remove those additional items were "demands." Based on my experience, be very clear about scope and expectations before requesting a proposal from this company. They will scope creep on you.

They were supposed to also properly seal all rodent holes, and replace flex ducts, as well as install screens to keep rodents out. They said they would wrap my water pipes and secure that insulation with twine. Shortly thereafter I hired a pest control company that confirmed that my crawl space had NOT been secured. They said there were many gaps and holes around the foundation and in the siding where rodents could still get into the crawl space. So I paid the pest control company $523.37 to fix the problems and asked Clean Crawls to refund me for not doing that part of their work. Now I'm hiring for insulation to be installed below the floor in my crawl space. TWO companies that came to offer bids have told me that Clean Crawls did substandard work. Not only did they fail to seal the crawl space end-caps, but they did not do the prescriptive air seal that is standard for crawl space work. None of the ducts have been sealed under my home. Vertical pipes were not insulated either. If Clean Crawls would like to come back and clean up the hair and feces from rodent activity that happened right after they failed to seal the space under my home, I'd be happy to change this rating. Yet so far, all they've done is try to deflect their substandard work by making me out to be a bad person. I just want the expected result for a contract signed. Make it right Clean Crawls! You were highly recommended to me by a great plumber (*I recommend Pipe Dreams, folks!*). When I told my plumber about the trouble I've had working with Clean Crawls he could not believe it. So make it right Clean Crawls! I need my crawl space vacuumed, sanitized, the ducts to be sealed and the end-caps to be insulated as per the contract that you signed with me. After finishing blowing in the insulation they cleaned up all around the exterior of the house leaving nothing. It pays to read contract fine print. Other quotes I received varied in pricing by double and wanted 50% upon signing then 40% day of installation leaving 10% at completion. Also changing the installation date was costly, some $500 just to change a date. WA Evergreen did not charge a fee to change a date, nothing down just pay when completed. Great communication by all involved. I'm very happy that I chose them.

Unfortunately, once new tenants moved in and began using the space, we discovered that the bedroom outlets were no longer functioning. When I contacted the owner to ask if a wire might have been accidentally disconnected during the attic work, he refused to come by to inspect the situation. He argued that I should have reported the issue within two weeks, despite the fact that the unit was vacant and only recently occupied. Rather than offering to troubleshoot or verify their work, the owner was argumentative and dismissed the concern entirely. He also claimed I have no proof his team caused the damage and told me I would need to hire an electrician to prove it. I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and professional courtesy, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who stands behind their labor.
