The young woman behind the desk was extremely rude. She stated that the suit could be repaired, but that the seamstress "doesn't like doing that, because it's so time consuming." WOW. That's great customer service, right? Then it came to the jackets, she said it starts at "$65" with an eye-roll. At that point we left and took our business elsewhere. We've been coming to this dry cleaner for over a decade. What shame to see it in the hands of such a disrespectful person.

When I dropped off my dress, I told her I was perfectly happy with a simple hem. To my surprise, she went above and beyond and preserved the unique pattern along the bottom of the dress instead of just shortening it. She didn't have to do that, but she wanted the dress to look its best and it really showed. That extra touch made me think, "Wow, she truly cares about making her customers look and feel great." It's rare to find someone who takes that much pride in their work. On top of that, she finished the alterations ahead of schedule so I could have my dress ready for an upcoming trip. After three separate incidents where my clothing was damaged and no responsibility was taken, I can no longer recommend this business. First incident: I brought in two brand-new Dixon shirts to be dry cleaned and pressed. When I picked them up, both collars were damaged and the color had faded. Rather than acknowledging the damage, Sean blamed the shirt material and suggested I contact Dixon. His response was that he would even explain their process to Dixon. Fortunately, Dixon stood behind their product and provided me with a full refund. Second incident: I brought in six pairs of my Levi's cargo shorts (approximately $60 each) to be dry cleaned and pressed. Every pair came back with damaged snap buttons that no longer worked properly. I brought the issue to Sean's attention, but once again there was no accountability. Instead, I was given another explanation of their pressing process. I reminded him that I have never washed or pressed these shorts myself--they have always been professionally cleaned by his business. Nothing was done to correct the damage or make the situation right. Because I genuinely liked Sean and his family, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Third and final incident: I purchased seven brand-new pairs of the exact same Levi's cargo shorts. Before leaving three pairs with Sean, I specifically asked him to inspect the buttons because of the previous issue. He confirmed they were all in perfect condition. When I picked them up, one pair had the exact same button damage. This time, instead of apologizing or offering a solution, Sean spoke with his mother and then told me they would no longer press my shorts because they were afraid they would damage them again. That response was unacceptable. The problem is not my shorts--it is the process being used to press them. Rather than correcting the process, repairing the damage, or standing behind the service they provide, the solution was simply to refuse future business. After damaging hundreds of dollars' worth of my clothing over multiple visits, no effort was made to repair the damage, replace the items, compensate me, or retain me as a customer. Mistakes happen in every business. What separates a great business from an average one is how they respond when they make those mistakes. Unfortunately, accountability was consistently replaced with excuses. If you choose to bring your clothing here, understand that you may be doing so at your own risk. If your garments are damaged, don't expect ownership of the problem or a meaningful effort to make things right. Sean, if you choose to respond to this review, I hope you publicly address the real issue: accountability. You allowed a loyal customer to walk away after three separate incidents without making any attempt to resolve the situation or preserve the relationship. Sometimes if a shirt is missing a button, they kindly fix it for us. Although there is usually a fee, some places don't always remember to take care of special requests, but here they do. The prices seem reasonable compared to other shops around here. That's one of the reasons our family feels comfortable and confident dropping off our clothes here.

Here's where the issue may have started - Pedro (I believe was his name) asked me to keep/hold onto my trench coats belt, so I did. I was told it wouldn't be a week for the alteration. Overall it would be a weeks wait, which for the work was reasonable I guess. I came back that Wednesday, at 3pm, and was told it wouldn't be ready until 5. Which leads me to believe it was finally being worked on that morning/afternoon. Again fine, as long as it was done right and not a rush job. Since I was there I prepaid so I could pick it up on my walk past the shop in a few hours. Unfortunately, upon getting home I realized they removed the belt loops to take it in and didn't put them back. I tried calling but by the time I had tried it on at home they were closed already. Went back the next morning at 9 when they open and they were closed with a sign they'd be back at 11. Showed up at 1050, since I needed it fixed asap. I had to wait a bit for Pedro to get back to the store to speak with me, but he remembered me and had my belt loops saved in the back, he'd just forgotten to put them back on. He was able to fix it same day, and now my jackets great and fits like a glove. They're close, seem fairly priced, and did good work once it was done correctly so I will give them another shot for sure.

Although it's a bit of a drive for me, I ultimately chose Cleaner Cleaners based on their reviews. My initial experience was great. Drop-off was smooth, and the customer service was pleasant. Unfortunately, after picking up my clothes and getting home, I realized that one of my pairs of slacks had been damaged. There were shiny marks imprinted all over the fabric that were not there when I dropped them off. I brought the pants back to show them and asked whether the marks could be removed. I was told they could not be fixed. At that point, I asked for a refund for the $10.50 cleaning service. The response I received was, "For what, cleaning them? We don't guarantee a result." I found that response incredibly disappointing. I was only asking for a refund of $10.50 for a service that resulted in my pants being permanently damaged, when realistically I would have expected a business to offer to compensate me for both the cleaning and the approximately $60 pair of pants they damaged. Instead, they refused the refund and offered no apology whatsoever. I was also sarcastically told to "call the pants manufacturer" because supposedly the fabric was the problem. If they believed the fabric could not safely withstand their cleaning process, I'm not sure why they proceeded with cleaning the pants in the first place. I also dropped off the exact same pair of pants in a different color, and those came back completely fine, so that explanation doesn't make much sense to me. Mistakes happen, and I would have been much more understanding if the situation had been handled with basic accountability and customer service. Instead, I left with damaged pants, no refund, no apology, and a dismissive attitude from the business. Overall, I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. My biggest issue isn't even that the pants were damaged -- it's how poorly the situation was handled afterward.
