This is my first time coming here and it was overwhelming. They have a few parking spots in front but if you turn right on Powell Ave and go a little past the store there are more spots in a lot. As soon as you come in there's an ATM machine which was used by 2 people while I waited online in the lobby. There is a window in the corner where you show the rep your ID. You have to wait in the lobby until you're called in. Once in they asked for my ID again. I requested a 1 gram cartridge which was originally $40 but apparently there was sale today dropping it down to $31. The rep said the payment card system was down even though the man at the first counter was able to scan my ID. Conveniently there was another ATM machine right next to the register. Overall there were plenty of happy helpful dealers and many options which was the overwhelming part. read more

We were looking for a place that sells seeds, after only three out of 12 seeds we ordered online from a different seller sprouted. Then two died, and my cat ate the last surviving seedling (in one chomp. He loves green veg). A friend recommended that we try Star Buds, as we usually go to Health for Life on North Point Road because it has a drive-thru, but they do not yet sell seeds. Parking is decent, but there are a lot of people wandering around, not really paying attention, coming and going from their cars and such. My boyfriend was able to find many things to buy, but was annoyed to find that the ATM has a $100 limit, so he had to pay the ATM fee twice to get enough money to pay for his selections. We were able to get some seeds, which were planted yesterday. Fingers crossed that we get a couple of strong-willed ladies this time around. He seems pretty pleased with his purchases, except for the blunt he accidentally bought thinking it was an infused joint. He did get a joint, too, which came with a glass mouthpiece, which are always appreciated. The packaging is super fun. I'm totally saving the pretty plastic tubes the blunt and joint came in. Ok so now I have visited this place more than once. The first time it was a bit overwhelming.... Checking in, then going to another line then medical goes before you, I have no issues with that it does extend your time there. This time around I was a lil bit more at ease because of my prior experience so I know what to expect. This time around it was a way more cooler experience. I was a lot more knowledgeable of the products that are sold, I did alot of my research on the site before the night prior. I called myself going early around 10am, they opened at 9am... there was still a line, next time I'm gonna stick to my Friday, thats when they have flameless Friday 10% off deals. First time to this particular dispensary in Baltimore...the check in process was easy (though it was crowded,I went on a Friday afternoon and the lobby area is rather small),just had to have my ID ready to go. Once I stepped inside it was hustling and bustling with budtenders and guests alike...the walls were lined with flower,edibles,vapes and accessories. If you're a novice you may seem overwhelmed,fret not the budtenders are knowledgeable and friendly. Located in the heart of the hood stands Star Buds...If you are hesitant to go you should be! There are so many other better places to spend your hard earned money other than this mediocre establishment. My first visit September 14 (evening): First day getting my MMCC card so I rushed over to the first dispensary I could find which was Starbuds..the line was out the door but that didn't stop security and two of the budtenders from getting high in front of the black employee door upfront..Poor etiquette! On my second visit (2 weeks ago) it was early morning, the dispensary had just opened and the parking lot was EMPTY so I just pulled head in to the parking lot at the front door. Their front parking lot does not have lines on it so it's basically first fit, first served..I was inside for about 5 mins because I did an online order and after getting my medicine I went back to my car where I was confronted by a short, bald, black dude with gold glasses asking me if that was my car and I told him yes as I went to get in my car. He then proceeds to tell me that I can't park there and that I'm blocking two other parking spots (On a curb, no access) and that I can't do that. I told him "I'm trying to move now but I can't move and talk to you" as I go to sit in my car and close the door the security guard grabbed my door and continued to tell me how I couldn't park there next time. I told him "If you were at your post then you would be able to dictate who parks where" and that he needed to remove his hands from my vehicle. He stood there staring at me through my tinted windows so rolled my window down and told him to move or I would call the police..of course he then moved and stared at me as I drove away. Yesterday on 11/22/2020 I called to get some details on two Indica strains because Star Buds halfway puts stuff in the system so you can never see the ingredients to compare Myrcene or any other important information pertaining to your purchase. I got (I believe this is his name, given to me by Brandon) Bryan on the phone..I began to explain my dilemma and he cuts me off and blurts out "Do you know how much longer this is going to take, it's getting pretty busy in here and I can't just stand around on the phone helping you out"...WOW!!!! I immediately hung up the phone but then I remembered I didn't catch his name because they don't introduce themselves when they pick up the phone. Upon calling back I spoke to one gentleman and asked for a supervisor and I swear he put the phone on hold and came back pretending to be a manager named Brandon. I explained all these situations to Mr. Nonchalant Brandon and his response was "That sucks, sorry that happened"...after talking to a wall I told him "I see you're not interested in what I have to say and I believe my concerns are falling on deaf ears so I'll just end this conversation, review you online and keep my business at Blair Wellness". For this to be dispensary filled with potheads their attitudes surely aren't as uplifting as the products they sell. These employees are young, rude, inexperienced and not knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Also, BEWAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! The 3.5 are not as they seem! Weigh every house pack you buy‼‼‼‼ Side note: Another reason I called yesterday is because how do you have a 20% sale on special flower but never indicate what you consider special flower???? What an amazing dispensary! I've visited quite a few through my journey with medical marijuana, but Starbuds is the one I just keep coming back to. The daily deals is awesome so you always know what the deal of that day will he (easy to keep up, more than those places where everyday is something new). The employees there (especially my girl, Michelle) are so dang knowledgeable about everything! They also don't mind showing you and explaining/going over any product you curious about and it's like they all have experience with the products to be able to give you THEIR opinion. I love the look of the store especially, nice and simple layout where you're able to see everything they sell from one end to the next. It's so squeaky clean and organized so well. I love this place so much, after visiting about 10 or so places, this is the one that stands out the most! They have an insane collection of strains too unlike a few I've been to also, it's so cool to be able to try a ton of different kinds to find what works for You (and the employees are more than happy to help you find one that would be best for you based on "what you're looking for", what kind of relief and what not. So all in all, from 1-10, I rate this place a 9.8! Definitely worth visiting I promise you won't be let down! I think I've found my new go-to spot! They have daily specials, decent prices, great quality, and the bud-tenders are awesome. After all the formalities of checking my paperwork, I literally felt like I was visiting an old friend. This was my third time visiting a dispensary and I'm glad I followed my instincts. I'm so sad I can't remember the name of the bud tender that assisted me, but he was AWESOME!!! He was able to steer me in the right direction and had great strain recommendations! Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. I'd give it no stars if that was an option. I bought a 265$ vaporizer from here, it doesn't work correctly. All it does is get hot and taste terrible, so I took it back. Well, they wouldn't take it back. No returns. This was also literally a week later. I would've gone sooner but I left to go out of town and couldn't do it until today. The owner Megan told me it's their policy to not take returns. I told her that was never explained to me and there was nothing on the receipt that said it was a final sale. -Let me pause right here. Had I been informed that I wouldn't be able to bring it back I wouldn't be here writing this. But I was not informed and it was nowhere in writing. Now, mind you Megan admitted to me that they need to change the receipts to say, "All Sales Final" or something similar, and make sure people know they can't return it. She then said, "Well I couldn't take flower back after it was purchased! Can you believe that? There is no comparison between a medicine that you ingest and a machine, that's just absurd. Of course you can't return the medicine you consume! Pitiful attempt at an excuse analogy. Now, remember I said that she admitted they needed to make that clear to customers? Yea, then in the next breath she told me there was actually a sign by the register! This is after she just admitted they need to make it clear that you can't make a return. At this point I couldn't even believe I was having this conversation and the absurdity of it all just made me angrier and angrier! So I was lied to, treated like I was crazy because I wanted to return a 265$ vaporizer that didn't work, and talked over as I tried to explain how crummy it is that she wouldn't let me return it. Wonderful. This is how they treat their patients! Absolutely Oh, I also told her that I was not just going to go away and let her get away with treating a patient this way. Then she tells me I'm threatening her. Yup, I was threatening her because I said I was going to complain to the BBB and the MMCC and write a review. That's not a threat! That is what you do when a business is completely in the wrong but refuse to do anything about it. What planet does this woman live on? Unbelievable. Needless to say I was thoroughly offended by her accusing me of threatening her. No Megan, this isn't a threat. This is what people do when a business treats them this way. She also admitted that if she was in my shoes she'd be pretty angry. But I'm threatening her. Ok then. In the spirit of full disclosure, by the end of this conversation I was so angry that I was having a very hard time controlling my temper. I was furious when I was told over and over again how sorry she was, how she would make sure people knew about the policy in the future and -most importantly- how she was sorry but she couldn't help me. She also continually talked over me when I was speaking. She did this five or six times until I started talking over her. Then she told me how she'd never been treated this way and I'm just so mean and terrible. Well sorry Megan, when you have no idea how to take care of your customers that's what happens. I'm human and I'm angry. And let's make no mistake about it, I was completely justified in being angry. She had my money and she had just washed her hands of it, that's what it boiled down to. I think I was perfectly justified in being furious! I was shaking I was so angry! This is just terrible customer service. You won't take back a 265$ vaporizer so now you've lost a new client that regularly spends four times that in a month. That's just bad business no matter how you shake it. You lose a little when you're dead wrong and then you make it all back and more because you now have a loyal customer. Obviously Megan isn't familiar with how that works. You also don't tell the customer that they're justified in being upset but you can't do anything about it. Again, had I known the sale was final, had Megan's imaginary signs that appeared out of nowhere actually been there and said the sale was final, and had the receipt also said it was final we wouldn't be here. You know what you do as a business owner of a medical facility when faced with an issue like this? You make it right this once and make sure it never happens again. I even told her I'd take 200$, that way we each would've given a little, but no, Megan can't do that, even though she owns the business and understands how crummy the situation is for all involved. Look at my review history and you'll see I never do this. This time is the exception. My next call will be to the Better Business Bureau and then to anywhere else that will listen. Sometimes you just gotta stand up for yourself no matter how unsavory it may feel. This all could've been avoided and yet here we are. So thanks for nothing. read more

Today, Vee was my budtender, but for real he is more of a healer. Oh my god okay so star buds is my favorite and I mean favorite dispensary around Baltimore. I have tried almost all of them at least one or 2 times and none of them can compete with Starbuds the deals are outrageous, the product no matter what you get is always top notch sometimes they might have something on sale that is to dried out or something but def still smokeable and that stuff got me through when I didn't have an extra 50 for an eighth of some really really good stuff .. you can get some great stuff without spending every dime you have there .
