These guys are the real deal! From start to finish, a total class act! Everyone at Basney from…read moreChris Egan, to both of the Chad's are super friendly, helpful, honest, funny and they beat the snot out of any Chicagoland dealer. No games and total honesty are rare in this industry but Basney BMW does both. Never tried to upsell, didn't try to hide any fees, just total transparency. After working out the details remotely, I took a train ride to South Bend and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I have purchased a lot of cars and this was the easiest deal ever. I have to say that even including my train ride and the drive back I can almost guarantee that I still saved time versus the time it would have taken negotiating with the dealers in the Chicagoland area...and the train ride was pleasant to boot. Anyways, if you are within a day or two drive, I think it is well worth it to shop Basney BMW. You will not be disappointed with how you are treated. I am sure I will be a return customer too.

They seem to have grown their business substantially from the last time I was in, so I wasn't sure if they would be able to provide the same quality, but they certainly did. I worked with Jeremy who was very straightforward and explained in detail what they would do to repair my car. He was easy to work with and very professional. Beyond that, the repairs on my car look to be exceptional as was completed the same way on my previous car. The front office is good about staying in touch and following through with what they say they'll do. They are sometimes busy up front and in back, but this is attributable to how busy they are with their work. The true test of their professionalism came when I found a scratch on the car that was not there previously. Jeremy was quick to correct it and did not make me feel like I had to battle my way through it. The work was superior and I can't convey enough how professional the overall experience was with them. I would no doubt, see them again for repairs or even detailing. I was surprised to see they are not on Yelp, so I added them and hope that others get the chance to benefit from their work. Thanks for making your customers feel assured and making sure you are paying attention to the detail and taking pride in the work you do. Update: came in for a body shop repair and Curt helped this time to do another quality job on my car. The work is always professional and they take care to make sure it is cleaned and complete. I recommend it to my family and friends. Excellent service.

The service department is truly terrible. I had by 2022 Ram TRX serviced hear through warranty…read more They replaced the front control arm and did an alignment via approved service through my extended warranty. It took them over a week to fix (it's a 3 hours job). The alignment was botched and the steering wheel was not straight when it was returned to me. When I called them back to correct the issue, the service advisor informed me I can certainly bring the truck back... but they intend to KEEP the truck until my previous bill was paid by my warranty company. Shocked, I called the warranty company to see what was going on. They told me the dealer would not accept their payment due to having to run it through through a credit card service (100% of 3rd party warranties do this with 0 problems at other dealers). Apparently, Tyler did not want to pay the 3% fee for the transaction. Why this was not added to the cost (to me) I will never know. But Tyler would not accept payment and told me they would KEEP my truck until I PAID the full bill (I had already paid the deductible upon completion of the service that day). I wrote to the Service Manager with this problem, hoping to find a solution that worked for everyone. No reply. I emailed the General Manager. No reply. I then emailed Scott Tyler directly to tell him how his customer was being treated, because if it was my business, I would certainly want to know. No reply. I told them all in my email that I was reaching out to correct the issue in order to not have to do what I am doing today, which is share negative feedback with all social media and RamCares. Since there was nothing after several weeks of trying, here we are. And my steering wheel is still crooked, which I will now have to pay someone else to fix. Horrible service, incompetent employees, management, AND ownership. Take your money elsewhere so you don't have the same experience.

After a few days later, when I arrived to the shop for my appointment, we talked about my car and I even informed Philo that I had went to another shop (gates... lol) and they quoted me almost $3k to fix my passenger car door. Which, by the way, my passenger side door would not open at all nor would the window go all the way down without making noise. Philo stepped outside and took a look at my car, analyzed it carefully and said, "Yup. I can fix it! And for a better price!" Sure liked the sound of that!! We went back inside and he searched up car parts for my car and gave me an estimated price. However, he said he would do some more searching and send me an accurate estimate through email. Philo took my information and I went on my way. Later that night, he called me and gave me the actual estimated amount and I said, "Let's do it!" (By the way, ALOT cheaper than Gates!!) We set up an appointment, where I'd practically be carless and he sent me the quote through email. I went to Philo's shop the following day and gave him half the deposit! A week later, I took my car to the shop. 3 and a half days later, my car was ready for pick up. (P.s. I was so excited!) When I arrived, he explained to me what they did to my car and how they even cleaned it as well! (I appreciated that so much!) He handed me my keys, I gave him the other half of the money and went on about my business. I opened my passenger car door and had such a relief that I could finally open the door again. It almost looks brand new! They did an absolute great job!! I absolutely loved how Philo was very knowledgeable, caring, and always replied to me in a timely manner when I had questions! I 100% recommend Philo's Body Shop! They were overall amazing! Unfortunately, I only have photos after they fixed it. But trust me when I say this... that passenger side door would not open! In these photos, I'm showing where the work was done! Looks pretty nice and brand new if you ask me!
