Nobody likes getting a smog notice in the mail and it can be such a huge pain in the butt and it can take a long time to find the right place and then to deal with it. For years I've been coming to this place. Oddly shaped like a pyramid out front and it always goes practically like a drive-thru, fast easy. They take my DMV paper. Run the smog check and it gets automatically transmitted. So easy. read more

They were fast and very nice. Also honored the Yelp coupon price. Unfortunately the benches to wait on are in the direct sun so plan accordingly for your wait time. read more

Nothing like some other smog check stations. Really fast and friendly, and my car passed with flying colors!

This is my second time doing my smog test here !! Super fast service and very friendly and good price!! Definitely recommend this place !!!

I came here on a Sunday around 11:30 AM. The service was fast. The guy who helped me was very friendly. Also, I have to give you guys a heads up. This place has a special but it's only on yelp. If you mention the yelp special, you can get your smog done for $53. If you don't mention the yelp special the price will be $73 but you have to mention the special so thank you Yelp for hooking us up with a discount. I think that makes this place one of the cheapest smog test in town because the average price is $70-$85. read more

Star Auto Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Staff is always friendly & honest. I always get my cars smog check done here. I like that they have the option of getting the car tags here instead of mailing your forms in or going to AAA to get your tags there. It's local & I do my best to support local businesses that have been around for a long time - they're pretty awesome! Thank you, Star Auto Check! read more

It's not a pass or bring it back to retest for free place. They offer you only 50% off retest. There's a reason why I was able to just drive in. If you have an older car I would not recommend this place. Find a place to let you retest for free. Live and learn!!! READ THE FINE PRINT... Free Retest on 2000 and newer read more

I was in and out pretty quickly. Sitting benches are in the sun. Price was average. It was $35 if I drove to Van Nuys, but since I didn't want to drive that far, this was about the average in my area. read more

Service was AMAZING! I found a service provider that fit my schedule (immediate service while running errands on the West side). Thank you!

They were quick and the service was amazing. They helped us out when we arrived and were very kind.

I just had this business perform a smog check. As I drove in, "Sergio" had a mouth full of food and told me where to park my car. I then waited long enough on the bench to know my smog check should have been completed. I waited some more for Sergio, who was standing next to my car, to get off his cell phone when I noticed my windshield wiper fluid cap was loose. I walked to the car and closed the cap and apparently Sergio took that as me rushing him off his phone call. He rudely says to me "I said 15 minutes!" I let Sergio know I never rushed him or even said anything to him but maybe he shouldn't be on a personal call while working. Sergio says "someone called me!" I understand that people make personal phone calls at work, but he had a really bad attitude like he was doing his customers some huge favor by doing their smog check, Anyway, I won't be going back to this business. read more

Quick and easy while remaining one of the more affordable ones in the area ($54 when you flash the Yelp pricing photo vs $64 normally; elsewhere is typically $60). Luckily came when there was no line. Took about 10 min. Straightforward to get the dmv pass. Would recommend. read more

Quick and used the quote from yelp which was cheaper. Overall good and quick response to quote request read more

Very polite and helpful. A quick professional experience. And they do dmv registration too!

Very fast and efficient. The team did a really good job and got all done for me. Will definitely come back again

I like their quick, reliable service. They are open 7 days a week; makes it easy to get by there.

I came early for my SMOG Check to avoid any lines since the day before was slammed. I was seen right away, and everything went well and quickly, about 20 minutes total. Sergio was efficient and helpful, pointing out something to keep an eye on. I used the Yelp special, which means $45.75 + $8 =$54 out the door. A better value than I could find closer to my house, with already a few visits here over the past ten years for my 2006 SUV. As always, I was happy with the experience and will continue bringing my cars here. read more

They were super helpful and efficient! Got there right around when they opened, so I didn't have to wait at all. They completed my smog check as requested, and they gave me the discounted rate that I found on here that brought my total down quite a bit. Overall great experience, and I would highly recommend for any smog check needs! read more

I feel like my 2018 Kia Forte is still new. As long as you do your routine oil changes and maintenance on time. There shouldn't be a reason for your car not to pass smog. But at the same time, I'm the 1st and only owner of my car. Service was excellent and fast ( 15 to 20 mins ). I didn't necessarily keep track. But I do know, it was long being there. I went during the day around 11am, perfect before lunch hour rushes. Thank you Star Auto Check and thank you yelp for referring me. read more

Excellent, Excellent service!! Didn't take long at all!! Jose was personable and my visit was seamless!!! I recommend this place 1000%. Thanks again! Debbie Joyce read more

I've gotten my car smogged here twice now for my vehicle renewal notice and both times it has been the easiest experience! It's first come first serve so as long as there aren't cars ahead of you, you'll be in and out in 10-15 minutes. The employees are great and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

Quick service and friendly staff! Didn't have to wait too long either and informed me of a recall on my car. Would highly recommend!

Mario and Sergio were awesome! I came on a weekday right before 12pm to get a smog check before rendering my registration, and I was in and out in under 12 minutes. No waiting, no hassle, and they sent results right to the DMV. I mentioned Yelp when I arrived and they were more than happy to offer the discount. With the Yelp deal and tax, I paid just under $55. The location is super easy to find - the big pyramid just off Robertson north of the 10 freeway. Make sure to enter off of Robertson, not the side street. read more

Came here during my lunch hour today since it was the nearest place to get my registration updated and a smog check. Drive up service which is great and don't need to worry about parking A little bit of line but they got me in and out in less than 30 mins. There's plenty of places to check out on the main street while waiting. The guy working on my car didn't seem too excited when i "checked in" and asked for the discount but he obliged. Quickly got me serviced and my info sent to the dmv for renewal read more
