Rosie provided some of the worst customer service I've experienced at AAA. She tried to charge me for notary services even though I have a Premier AAA membership, which clearly includes free notary service. As a notary, she should know the membership benefits instead of trying to charge members for services they're entitled to receive. She also claimed that AAA doesn't provide envelopes for mailing documents. That was simply false. I had the exact same notary service at this same AAA office just one week earlier, and another notary had no problem providing an envelope. The inconsistent information and poor attitude made the entire experience unnecessarily frustrating. If Rosie is unsure about AAA's policies, she should verify them instead of giving incorrect information to customers. AAA needs to ensure its employees understand member benefits and provide consistent, professional service. read more

I went to the AAA in Culver City to get tags for my cars and this place feels so cozy. I feel like I'm going to someone's house. The way the chairs are set up kinda like a living room but they haves desks and you see them helping people. It's a very comfortable setup, very nice. It's usually crowded, but the lie moves fast. So it's really good. I was helped by the way Grace helped me. She was so kind, patient. She has five star service on the spot! It's just like they told me it was going to be a 20 minute wait, but I think I think of it was much less. Triple AAA all the way been a 30 year member and satified. read more

The tow truck took nearly 3 hours to arrive. I had to call multiple times both to AAA and to the contracted company, Pathway Towing, to get a better estimate every time I called, they would keep saying "the driver will be there in 10 minutes" every single time and that added up to almost 3 hours. I messaged the AI system for the service first at 12:20pm and the tow truck did not arrive until after 3pm. In between, I spoke with AAA and the company several times to request a call from the driver and each time they said the driver would be calling me. He never called. Furthermore, when he finally arrived, the driver was rude and short with me from the moment he arrived. It REEKED of marijuana in the tow truck when I got inside. I asked the driver why he was 3 hours late and why it smelled like marijuana in the car and why he didn't call me. He started getting defensive and aggressive, saying he did call 3 times when I didn't get any calls from him. Then he kept sighing and making a hand gesture for me to stop asking him questions. He said it wasn't his problem because he's just the driver. He said he didn't care when I told him I waited 3 hours. Then after we got to the tire shop, which was less than 4 minutes from my location, by the way, I was on the phone with AAA to complain about the driver's behavior. He started telling at me "thank you?? No thank you??" And I said "thank you for what? For being late and being aggressive with me and for your car smelling like weed?" And he walked away saying "you fucking Chinese bitches are all the same". I would NEVER use AAA again. read more

This is the second time that I've been to this office. I was here recently to pay my car registration. The staff member that helped me was pleasant & professional. I think it's a time saver to be able to pay one's registration fees & get the tag, rather then waiting to receive it from the DMV. This location is always busy. I'm always relieved to pay the registration with a AAA processing fee & be on my way. Overall, a good experience with pleasant staff members to assist a customer. Perhaps, one day I'll be able to use their travel services for a dream vacation!! read more

Very sad that I had to give 1 star by default. Unfortunately, my wife and young daughter experience horrible customer service at AAA in Culver City on Sepulveda this morning on 03/15/2015 between 0930-1030am. The representative was a slightly large Hispanic woman, just very rude and judgemental for no, reason when the task was very simple in regards to getting documents notarized. I will definitely, recommend that my friends and associates do not go to this one. It doesn't reflect the whole organization but you have to let people know that customers are the reason why you have a job! It's not that hard to be courteous in a customer service position. My local AAA is a busy place every day. Yesterday afternoon, I was told the wait for 2 hours plus!!! So, since my registration renewal is due on 6/28, I got there at 8:45a this morning and was the second person waiting. I read all the signage and saw they don't take Amex nor debit cards AND they add a 2.3% fee if you use a credit card. Okay, didn't love the fee, but I was not going to go home to get a check. Long story longer, the credit card machine took forever to get up and running ( my lovely representative said being her first customer, it always is super slow in the morning)....finally, it started up and my payment was received! Huzzah!!! Listen, being a member of AAA has a lot of benefits.... My big TIP... go early in the day as close to their opening of the doors. Everyone is helpful and lovely and I am all set! I came in on a late Friday morning to get an international driving permit for an upcoming trip. I am not a AAA member and it was my first time getting an IDP. The entire process took about 15 minutes. The staff is very efficient and triages you as you walk in, sending you to a specific area of the building to wait your turn. The front desk staff is on top of it! And the staff member that helped me with my application was super friendly as well! Overall I had a great experience. I would recommend anyone looking to get their IDP to get it done here at this very efficient AAA office. Parking is free behind the building in their large parking lot. read more

Stopped by the Culver City AAA Branch to get my DMV sticker. The young lady that was assigned to help me did anything but that. She made the experience there awful. Spoke to me in a very condescending way as if I was a fool and when I asked why was in the middle of asking a question in regards to a form she just cut me off and proceeded to robotically give me an answer when I was not done speaking. If it was not for the Manager, Kevin, stepping in and kindly explaining to me the question I had which he listened and then gave a clear answer, I would cancel my membership. Additionally, she just placed the sticker and paperwork towards me and said nothing and just ignored me until I asked her if that was it. Again, the experience and treatment were terrible. I rarely leave reviews but this young lady needs to be trained on how to speak and treat members and anyone that comes in there with kindness and respect. This company was amazing during the fires in Pacific Palisades. Even though we had a pretty small insurance plan, they covered everything from lodging, dry cleaning, remediation and even the stuff we lost. I was honestly so surprised by how much they helped us. My son was on my policy, which made 3 cars, but I was told he is of age now and must get his own insurance So this I consider is a win for AAA and a loss for me Win/lose I also have renters insurance, earthquake insurance, and life insurance with the same people and customers for approximately 13 years. Believing loyalty means something. It means nothing if after I stated I may have to explore other insurance possibilities. Answer we done all we can. Sorry we could not help you. Well, me too ! You should be made aware that if you cancel in the first year they charge you $190 to cancel your insurance even if it's not your fault even if your circumstances have not allowed you to keep the car you just bought and bought aaa insurance for , careful I was not made aware of this, and they're supposed to make you aware of that. it's not that much money but the money isn't really the point is it every other insurance I've ever had no one's ever charged a cancellation fee AAA is just up themselves because they're AAA it's robbery!! read more

This DMV services at this AAA location are a legit godsend. I came in dealing with a complicated car registration situation and the agent that helped me, Nicole, is absolutely amazing. She told me exactly what I needed to do as far as required documentation and was extremely patient with all my questions..and believe me, there were MANY questions. Been a member of AAA for 35 years. Went to culver city office to get a temp handicap tag. After looking at my paperwork, front and back, The lady who helped me informed me I had to drive back to cedars Hospital In hollywood because front box was not checked by doctor for how long tag was good for. I asked her if it was necessary to drive all the way back and with attitude said yes. Went home looked at paperwork & and it was clearly marked on back by doctor what she asked for. Drove back next day and got my tag. If she would have taken a moment to really look and not be dismissive of me she would have seen it. Bad attitude and bad service. read more

They let some lady cut in front of me just because she didn't want to wait in line so she took my spot. And I'm still waiting. This is ridiculous. AAA insurance is the worst company to deal with when it comes to paying claims caused by property or car damage caused by their clients. Customer service: The agents are very difficult to deal with and I feel deliberately so. They are trained by the company to defer as many claims as possibly by being difficult and dragging feet on claims. Poor Ethics: They have very poor ethics. They will insure people who should no longer be allowed to drive. I have no issues with elderly people driving but unfortunately license to drive can be a license to kill. I recently got hit while I was placing my kid in her car seat and fully parked at the curb. This 80 year old lady decided to drive into my car and hit me. To save her costs I let my BMW pay all costs through my insurance and sent them a small bill of $288.00 which BMW did not kick in as it was caused due to inspection. AAA refused to foot bill as they claim they will only pay for parts caused by accident. Here is a tip for you, when in an accident make sure you do the right thing for yourself and not for others. AVOID their battery services if at all possible. The tow company that I allowed to replace and install my battery caused my Honda to have electrical issues 1-1/2 years later. I provided a lengthy statement, including receipts, explaining what happened. The battery was the wrong size and AAA took my complaint, had an internal "arbitration" with the towing company, that they contracted, and then decided not to reimburse me because they're not responsible for what the tow company did. They told me I could take them to small claims court. I'm sure they have a standard procedure of skating backwards to avoid liability. I found it funny how they had an "arbitration" with just my statement, then both AAA and the tow company they contracted to do battery installations back peddled right out of reimbursing me. I've been a member for 22 years. They can tow me but they can miss me with the other subpar services. Go to Costco to buy your battery and let your trusted mechanic install it. read more

I stopped by today (late morning on Friday) to purchase Knott's Berry Farm tickets for this weekend. The office is a lot smaller than the Torrance location, but it's only a couple of miles from work. I was hoping that I beat the lunch rush? But that doesn't seem to be the case because I was told it would take about 30-mins. :-| What!?! Just to buy tickets?! Don't you have a dedicated cashier to handle purchases? I have no idea where I am in the queue so even 30-mins. is questionable. I can hear the couple next to me muttering: "This is a total waste of time." I absolutely agree, & apparently this location's inefficiencies is common knowledge from quite a few Yelpers. As I'm waiting, I peruse the office & there are multiple stations with staffers sitting without customers. Hmmm... multi-task much? Guess not? The staff would not even approach the door when I arrived at 1:06pm given that the posted sign stated that they closed at 1pm. Very unfriendly staff at this location. AAA is just amazing!!! These guys are not only VERY knowledgeable, but also extremely professional and friendly. I highly recommend AAA...the roadside service is simply above and beyond! For example, my humongous '97 Chevy Suburban has broken down 2 or 3 times, and your guys not only loaded my vehicle onto the flatbed tow truck with extraordinary care and skill, but each of them were SO FRIENDLY!!! I don't normally leave reviews but I decided to leave one to let others know. After 27 years of membership I took a break from AAA. I called AAA to get help with a flat tire around 5:30 AM and asked for a tow since the car that I was driving was a rental and didn't have a Spare. No one came out until 8:30 AM, the person that they sent wasn't a tow truck, couldn't help me. Did not get an apology. I had to call back to get a tow truck. The whole ordeal took many hours. When the rental company opened up, they sent a tow truck before AAA tow truck arrived. After that experience, I decided not to renew my membership. Fast forward, my niece needed a tow and I decided to give them a second chance. Another disappointment. This was not the AAA that I used to know. read more

The last time I had a problem, the towing guy was very helpful with everything and I was happy. but this time, I had a horrible experience. Not a towing guy but the lady who I talked to over the phone. My car stopped working because the battery needed to be replaced. I was in a parking lot and needed someone to tow my car out of the property. When I contacted AAA via the app, a lady who called me back told me that towing service will not be available till the next day. there was no further assistance. like zero support... disappointed. Visited the Travel Department and after completing a quick questionnaire we were directed to Alisa our Travel Consultant. Tip: even though no appointments are necessary you may have to wait if the consultants are busy finishing travel plans for other customers. We were lucky and didn't have to wait. Alisa mapped are entire road trip to the East Coast from Los Angeles, provided a Triptik and highlighted maps as well. She was so patient, very thorough and really nice. Alisa even offered to make event and hotel reservation should we need them. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!! read more

I needed to be towed at an unsafe area. When tow truck arrived, I was told that it wouldn't be covered due to my car being modified. Never has that been an issue, however they said you can pay us directly and we'll tow you. I waited another hour to hopefully get help from AAA but no luck!.. I had to stay in my car till the next morning to get an affordable towing. I'm very disappointed in their service, since this hasn't never been an issue or bad experiences with AAA. Today 7/31 @ 12:50pm I called AAA as I was locked out of my vehicle. There was also time sensitive medication that needed to be administered during this lock out which I communicated several times with the customer service representative. At this time the representative lets me know someone will be calling me back in 10 min to confirm service and let me know their eta. Several hours go byI call back several times asking for updates - they are not able to supply me with any information. At 4:31pm I finally receive a call from AAA letting me know they are unable to assist me in finding someone to unlock my car so I can get to my medication. I think had to go directly through BMW to get assistance. They had someone out to me in 30 min and were able to get my car unlocked and I was finally able to take my medication before being rushed to the hospital. AAA did a terrible job of service! I waited almost 4 hours for absolutely no results! AAA needs to reimburse me! read more
