This is my go-to Staples, have been coming here on and off for the last 10+ years. Its convenient location ( with plenty of free parking ), and also its next to a McD!! ( so there is an extra incentive ), makes it so easy to drop by and pick-up something on the way. Staffs have always been helpful, but I find that the turn-over rate is incredible, almost each time I come to the store, the whole team is different! But still they are able to provide good information and when asked for suggestions they are happy to provide them! Two items were bought this time: Day-Timer Planner have been purchasing this for ever and the price keeps increasing, I still remember complaining about it when it was at $20.00+ and now its $49.99!! Brother Color Inkjet All-in-One Multifunction Centre This is the second one (exact model) I got from here, I like the first one so much that I decided to get another one after my Epson died after only 6 months! This model is easy to install and use, good quality printing, wifi and also compact in size. With an extra $6.99 you can get a one year replacement package. Overall, this Staples has good customer service, convenient location and parking is always guaranteed, and on top of that you can get a snack before or after from McD!! read more

It's the closest store to me so I'm forced to order from here. But I usually do it online as it's easy and usually the prices are better. This review is the combined problems I've encountered shopping at this store. They keep canceling my orders stating out of stock. I've called to see if they can locate the items. Of course, they can't. When I eventually go in, I'm able to find them in some bin. It's bizarre that they don't spend more time training their staff or hire staff who facilitate sales. The staff have no clue where the items are. Their system is so out of date that they can't even use it to find their own items. A few trips ago, I asked several staff members to check in the back for a Crayola item, two didn't bother and said sorry out of stock, one finally did it and found it in the back. A few trips before that I asked two staff for Avery binders. They said no, nope all gone. The Avery binders I was looking for were thrown out. I said "wow, your store did that specifically in that past week? Because I bought some last week." He went into the back and brought out a case. read more

In this part of the plaza there are two big box stores... the Future Shop, and then there is this place next door! Whenever I think of going to FS, I usually come here as well, part of Staples feels like an electronics store anyways. Lately they have been having this big yellow banner hung over the front door stating that in some ways they are a clearance centre. Coming in to this big factory warehouse type store, it's all practically the same with all these type of stores. If you are ever thinking of a place to copy things... all Staples have a pretty big department for this. With some self serve machinese (which is pretty cool, cause you can just insert your credit card) to some more complex things like color copies, laminate, binding.... the list goes on, but at least they have a dedicated person working this section to help your needs out. It's sometimes odd to see, but a good area on the left-side of the store is dedicated to 'clearance' stuff.. stuff this store wants to get rid of.. and they usually give you an extra 25% off at the till... usually the prices end in .97... but it only works on non video game stuff.. while that type of stuff just lays there like dead cow bones in a dessert. Sometimes you find some treasures, and sometimes you get the discount on video games too.. it's quite weird at times and inconsistent... but the whole Staples thing is inconsistent.. as each store offers their own discount like they are independently operated... all the other stuff is the same price.. but when it comes to the additional's... well good luck to you.. this one though always seems to have the additional 25%.. good stuff! If you have office needs, come here, if your kid is about to go to school and needs paper (what.. no ipad.. they got those too), pens, backpacks... come here, if your looking for a printer, headphones.. non pro digital cameras, coffee for the Keurig.... it's a whole bunch of weird things.. even some furniture if you really look. I had the weirdest Staples experience at the Richmond store. I went in wanting to get an Apple Watch series 3 and I overhear a sales associate trying to sale apple care to a customer wanting to buy a Macbook. The customer politely said 'no' but the sales associate continued to say things such as, 'Why don't you want apple care? You should buy apple care because if you drop it, you're covered... I've had many people drop their laptops. If you buy the Macbook today you will not be able to return it without apple care'. It felt forced and very uncomfortable. I felt bad for the person buying the Macbook because they clearly did not want the apple care but the sales associate made such a scene. When it came time to my Apple Watch series 3, they told me they had one open box left so I asked if there were going to be any discounts on it. They proceeded to tell me that the discount is saving 50% on apple care if I purchased it with the watch... And after overhearing what just happened to the previous customer, I felt very weird about the whole situation. It just felt like they were trying to make commission off Apple Care and not actually focus on the customers needs. Many times I entered the store, no eye contact from the staff, actually pretty bad, I wouldn't even given them a ONE star. Cathy thank you!!! This Staples always has great customer service! I always come here for random things needed for the job or when we need a print job done. I went yesterday and had 20 items printed and laminated. Convenient location for those who need to go to Home Depot and Future Shop in the same plaza, right off the Knight st. bridge. Plus can munch on a filet fish burger at Mcdonalds if you're hungry afterwards. generally, i don't find the service as good as the No.3 road location. But parking's better here. read more

This location felt a bit dingy. I was looking for those hard plastic pockets you put on the wall to put files or mail in. Over $20 for something that costs ten cents to make? Forget it. This review is specifically for the copy and print centre at the Briidgeport location. After a few botched, incomplete, or not completed by deadline print jobs I see fit to warn others. I used to work accross the street so I used (and got abused) this location out of neccessity but this story related directly to this weeks fiasco. My mother in law is turning 70 so we wanted a lifesize printout of a photo of her for the party. Doing her due dilligence, my wife called the Bridgeport location on Wednesday and was told the 22x79" size would take only a half hour to print. Great, right?!! So Friday morning she called in again to verify her print job had uploaded correctly and was then advised that she was unable to get the 22x79" until Monday, contrary to what she was told. She compromised, quickly changed the format to 22x36". Oh well, no lifesize pic but it was going to be ready by five pm that day. After 3 phone calls to ensure it was definitely ready I drive the 12 km to go pick it up (If it had been ready by 5 I could have picked it up on the way home and saved an additional hour of my time and 24 km of wasted gas). I arrive at Staples at about 6:30 pm only to find out the PRINTING WAS NOT READY!!!!!! I have to go back again today to pick it up, we'll see if it's actually ready this time. Avoid this pathetic excuse for a print centre at all costs- unless it's to use the self serve copiers. read more

Dear Staples, not only did you have an expired price sign on the calculator I was purchasing, but it was the WRONG calculator too. The sign was on the wrong calculator and expired. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am livid and will never purchase another calculator from your store again. I am unsatisfied with your employees and brand as well. I am generously keeping the overpriced calculator even though my experience was horrible. Goodbye. read more

I purchased an Iphone 8 from Staples.ca on Dec 2019. My iphone's camera broke down in July of this year and I attempted to have this iphone repaired with Apple under manufacture warranty. However, I was told by apple support that my phone was activated in 2017 and had been out of warranty for over 500 days. I was shocked and explained to Apple that the phone was purchased in 2019, not 2017. Apple support said if I could submit them an invoice with my serial number then they could perhaps claim my warranty. I obtained an invoice from Staples and sent to Apples, but they were unable to claim my warranty. They explained to me that since the phone was already activated in 2017, they cannot validate a secondary warranty as I'm the second owner. Apple explained to me that the phone was either a refurbished or a returned product. When I purchased the phone there was no indication on Staple's website that the phone was refurbished. I also paid for the price of a new phone. I approached Staples and they claimed the phone was new. I escalated the issue to a manager and I requested for a money back for my phone as it's unfair for me to pay for a refurbished phone for the price of a brand new phone. The manager said they would do some investigation with their vendor and will get back to me in 2-3 days. After 8 days of numerous attempts to contact Staples, I finally heard back from them today. The wrote me an email and indicate 1) I never claimed a warranty with Apple, which is false. I tried to claim warranty with Apple but I was denied. 2) Based on my serial number Apple never sold a phone to Staple's vendor, so I didn't purchase the phone from Staples.ca. I was shocked that they would respond me in this way. I have proof of purchase in my email that I bought this phone from Staples.ca. Staples will not issue a refund for the phone and asks me to repair the phone at my own cost. Staples sold me a refurbished phone but refuse to take the responsibility and since then they've been ignoring my calls and emails. I cannot believe that such a big company would treat customer in this manner! read more

This location had the best customer service! I was asked if I needed help by an employee in every department I wandered through. They saw me looking and obviously struggling to find the things I was looking for, and they offered to help instead of ignoring me. Great customer service really changes your mood.
