It's a hit or miss. I can go in there and scan usually without issues. The store needs to be cleaned, especially the floors. There is a constant turnover in staff, some helpful some not. The location has potential, but a refresh of the store and enhanced training for the staff would definitely elevate the consumer experience. read more

I'm retired and don't need office supplies often anymore but I was pleasantly surprised at how willingly helpful both Shriman and Jim were. It felt like I haven't had this kind of service in years. While standing in line to return my Amazon packages, the attendant--Sarah--did not acknowledge me, make eye contact, or speak. Instead, she continued taping and assembling boxes. When another customer entered the checkout line, she left to assist him immediately. Upon returning, she resumed taping boxes without addressing those of us waiting in line. I eventually asked if she could help me, and her response was curt and dismissive. When I questioned why she prioritized the checkout customer over those in the return line, she replied, "I help paying customers first--we don't make any money off of you. Amazon doesn't pay us for this." I responded, "I was planning to make a purchase after this, but I don't think I will now." To which she said, "I don't care--that doesn't impact me at all." I reminded her that her behavior was unprofessional and rude, and she continued to argue until she finally processed my return. I then went to pick up a print order and spoke with the supervisor, who appeared unconcerned and reiterated that their policy is to assist "paying customers" first. I explained that I am a paying customer--I placed a print order and was planning to make additional purchases, which I only considered because I had packages to return. It's clear Staples offers Amazon return services to drive foot traffic and potential sales, yet they treat those customers as an inconvenience. The supervisor stood by Sarah's behavior and offered no sincere apology or concern. I rarely leave reviews, but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. If you need to return an Amazon package, do yourself a favor and skip this Staples. They've made it clear you're not welcome. read more

The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They are so very good on tech support for my laptop which I seem to need too often, I have purchased my last two PCs and printer from them as well as my Anti-Virus software and tech support package. If my PC is infected by a virus I can call the tech 800# and they will solve my issues on line. Before I retired 18 years ago this store was always my go-to store for office supplies and they have always been courteous and service oriented. Thank you my local staples crew! read more

An expert at this Staples, and I use that word loosely, sold me a Lenovo computer and loaded it up with every extra thing known to man and I actually paid over 800.00 for a computer that was 399.00. Wouldn't be so bad if the computer was still functional a day after the warranty I paid for, was up. Now two years later, its trash I need to throw away. Key board, non functioning, unable to remove a non functioning battery from the keyboard...period. Staples . how can you sell this garbage with a clean conscience? read more

The blonde mid 30ish to 40ish manager has zero customer support qualities. I asked for help and she tossed a manual to help me to print out something. When it printed she blamed me. When I called tech support to ask for her name they immediately put me on hold as if to cover for her. Customer service goes beyond their direct guidance. I'm beyond frustrated. She told me I had zero idea what she's doing. During open hours her responsibility is to help guests. If she doesn't understand her responsibilities she should be looked over for her current role because clearly she has zero intention to help people who need that 2-3 minutes of work her role should consist of. She threatened to tell me I could never come in again. In Prescott, customer service is number one. She needs to be released from her job. I'd rate zero if I could. And I am done, came over to Staples from Office Max because of a discount I got with a homeschool group I belong to and also convenience being right next to Sprouts but I am going back to Office Max. Today I tried four times to get a poster I designed into the shopping cart online so that I can pay for it and complete my order. I tried doing online chat and it wasn't working so I called the store. I was told that they no longer have an email to send print jobs to that I would have to come in with a thumb drive and pay an express fee to get it printed same day. I said that I felt that was not good customer service and asked to speak with the manager, she told me that she was the manager. I then pleaded my case that I spend hundreds of dollars in there for printing services as a homeschool mom and a small business owner. She still said too bad, I said that was not the way I would handle it and she said the only solution was to all a 1-800 number so I hung up got online and got them printed same day service with no issues at Office Max. As a long time small business owner what I would have done in her situation is allow me to come in person to get the material printed, promised to have it done by the end of the day with no extra charge. That way you didn't have to stop printing process of other customers and can still rectify the situation with this customer. read more

I went to get some papers printed off my phone, an email from my Doctor. I asked how I do it and the short-haired blonde girl talked to me like I was 12. I asked a question, she said very "snotty" it's self serve ma'am. I said oh you can't answer a question? We're not ALL knowledgeable about these things. She was RUDE and very condescending. I will drive out of my way to go to the Staples in Frontier Village before I EVER go back there. read more

I needed to scan and email documents to Mexico. When I approached the counter a large , older blond woman asked what I needed. I told her and said I would need help. At this she commented, in a very condescending manner"you just need to touch the screen and you will be able to do it, I mean I don't have 10 minutes to stand there with you while you do it"! I ordered a custom stamp online and got a call from Liz asking me to confirm the size because it was super small. This review is for Liz. She went to the moon with her level of customer service! Knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient are the 3 *staples* that are directly associated with the success of any company. Corporate chains such as Staples typically receive fewer reviews and lower ratings on YELP than on, say, Google+. Here they have 9 reviews with a 2 star cumulative rating. On Google+ they have 49 reviews with 3 1/2 stars. You can make your own guess as to why that is. I've been using this Staples for their printing and copying services, and for certain equipment such as fax machines or printers, and office supplies, for a few years. Of course they have had a fair amount of staff turnover over time, which is to be expected, and can affect the customer service you'll receive depending on when you shop here. The store has changed over the years, and carries far less products than they did at one time, and has fewer staff as well. With that being said, I have never had a bad experience here. While the service may not be "above & beyond," or up to the highly personable standards of a small and enthusiastic local mom & pop shop, they do a fine job overall. read more

I went to visit today to get some items bound. the line was about 5 in front of me- and the customers were not just in line but around the desk area too. One person was helping all of us. lines of tape on the floor were apparently there to keep people 6 feet a part. I did my bit. No help from the Staples staff as the social distancing separation wasn't mentioned by anyone the whole time I was in the store. No signs, nothing. I had checked the hours and the website before I went in- heard the second person who came out to help us announce the bathrooms were closed because of health concerns- this was not posted anywhere out front, nor was it on the web page. At least two of us were surprised (me and a woman who was in the front of the line). When it came my time to be helped (maybe 15 min later), the first person seemed overwhelmed- the second person had mentioned to another customer in front of me that the machines were frozen up (apparently copying machines). I told the helper that I needed some papers bound and I could leave and come back later (now there was 3 or so to be helped behind me too). She started to help- got interrupted by a 3rd store person a couple of times who apparently didn't know how to help a customer with paying for the self help copier jobs -. Then my helper didn't know what paper tab dividers were, tried to talk me into using post it notes to separate my documents to be bound- looked again for the paper dividers (half heartedly) then left me , without saying anything to work on something else. Basically I got ignored and could tell the helper didn't really know what they were doing. At this point (in the store about a half an hour), I realized I was wasting my time and feared them screwing up my job, if I was to be helped further. poor service. not enough educated staff. poor communications (delays and bathroom). and apparently the copy machines are jammed. read more

Running the copy and print services that morning was Bathsheba. She was fast, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. Pretty much she was the easy button! Trevis was a tremendous help in the copy section of Staples. He got slammed while I was trying to make copies, but he handled everyone professionally, and courteously. I needed some extra help, because I am not tech savvy at all, and he was patient and took the time to explain and help me out. I mentioned having just bought a laser printer for my home but couldn't figure out how to install it (I meant it when I said I wasn't tech savvy lol) and Trevis gave me a tip that will hopefully help me get it installed. I rarely leave a 1 star rating but this Staples earned it. I have used this copy service for years and have had many customer service problems. There is frequent staff turnover so I would try a new manager each time they changed. Recently I had a manager that was rude and unaccommodating and was blaming me for being unreasonable! I finally decided to try another copy service. Not only did I find excellent customer service with the new service but found that their charges, for the identical same copy order was 50% less than I had been paying at Staples all these years. read more

This Is the worst Staples! I have had to come to this store out of convenience of location many times, I would say at least 50. However, I am done doing that. They rarely have enough checkers... You end up waiting 20 mins sometimes to get checked out. The long lines increase and employees walk by. I have stood at the copy desk and had employees walk by (they are doing "something" eg taping a box, and not even acknowledge the customer standing there to say..."have you been helped? ...someone will be with you soon"... Nothing! Not their job! The last time I went in I needed a large copy 11 x 17 (ONE COPY!!) And couldn't do it on self service." We can have that for you in 3 days". We have to put in behind the other customer who dropped off print jobs (where they are printing hundreds of copies for the job). It would not be fair to print your ONE COPY in front of their(hundreds)! HAHAHA. are you $#!@&$! SERIOUS? The manager on duty barely looked 19 and was not trained properly in customer service. Ughhh! Worst Customer-Paranoid-Service ever! I believe the employee male person thought I put something OF THEIRS in my cargo pants' pocket. I TOLD the guy, who by this time was hovering 4-feet off my bow, "I have postcards I am trying for size" for a plexi card holder. He followed me, and at check-out, was talking to the female employee -by CIA-type ear bud- who said "What should I do about it?" to no one but the guy in her ear. I paid and she didn't look at me, or say anything. Either accuse me outright, or BE a Customer Service Pro and treat me like a valued customer! Screw them. read more

This review is specifically for the copy/print/shipping section. The rest of the store is OK. I went to drop off a prepaid UPS package. When I got there, two employees were helping two customers. Fine, I don't mind waiting my turn. Neither employee acknowledged my existence, or said they'd be with me as soon as they could, or asked me to wait. Nothing. Not even eye contact. Both of them were working on print jobs, and at one point they both needed the same machine. So... one was working, and the other standing there, studiously looking anywhere but at me. At this point, I had been waiting for a good five minutes, so I decided I'd take my package to the UPS store instead. As I was walking out, one of the employees asked "Oh, were you trying to drop that off?" I said I was, and continued out the door. Terrible customer service... pretty much nonexistent. My husband and I were looking for an office desk and chair for our home office. We were pretty excited to find the perfect set over the weekend and showed much interest in several ones. Could not hunt down a single person if our life depended on it. She patiently helped me to find absolutely everything I needed. She has made me VERY IMPRESSED with this particular store in PRESCOTT. I have used this store a few times for my company's needs and am so pleased with their level of service and attention to detail. I had brought in some documents that I needed laminated with the expectation of having the work done by the following day. By the time I had driven back to the office, I received a call that they had finished! On another occasion, I called the store to ask a question and they remembered who I was, who I worked for, and had all the answers to my questions. It's rare to find people who provide such high levels of service and these guys knocked it out of the park! I will definitely be using the Staples store in Prescott in the future! read more

I will never shop Staples again. Yesterday I called and spoke to an employee about having 2 items printed and made in to transparences. I was told their machines were down but I would be able to stop in the next day and have the order complete. I submitted my 2 page order online (this morning - 9am) to have it printed this afternoon. I arrived at Staples around 12:30. The attendant in the copy center first told me that she did not have my order in the system. Then corrected herself when she heard that I submitted it online. She then said my 2 pages would not be printed because the "due by" date was Monday. Literally it was 2 pages and the total cost was .56c. I would have had to pay 5.00 extra to have 2 pages printed today. The woman at the counter was looking at my order on the computer screen refusing to print it. I'm a small business owner and I will never use Staples again. This is was amazingly horrible customer service. I will also encourage everyone to use a different location. Luckily, there is a local business in Chino that is always available and friendly. read more

Used to come in to make pretty complicated copies, color, exact sizing etc. They used to be great. Today I came in to make a one page simple black and white copy with my laptop. I asked to quickly borrow thumb drive (as I always do) lady was unenthusiastic, told me she's not allowed to do that. Asked to just forward to the Staples email (As I used to also do) she said no. She told me to use the machine. Whatever, go to the machine, machine wants $5 preauthorization for a 1 page black and white. Whatever. Then machine has issues processing, keeps going back to the beginning. Finally get the preauth ready and notice the wifi is not connected. The Staples wifi page first has me read the giant agreement crap, then KICKS ME BACK TO SUBMITING MY PRIVATE EMAIL AFTER I ALEADY SUBMITTED. So I am stuck in limbo trying to "agree" to gain Wifi. Ok now I am fighting with there Wifi login page, to send the email, to get a return email, to get a code, to input into the printer machine charging me $5 and the wifi WILL NOT WORK. After 3 minutes, THE PRINTER KICKS ME OUT. So after half an hour, the employee who never cared is completely oblivious, I am to start the whole process over. Yeah right. I never got logged in to their wifi because its obviously broke. Printing 1 black and white copy should not require logging into 40 different systems, None of which work, charging $5, inputting my email address to log in to a wifi system that also doesn't work all while being timed without any help from the person right behind me.
