I came in to get copies about a half hour before close. 5 copies, nothing complicated, except that it was a large format. The one employee in the copy center refused to do it, saying that they were closing soon and he needed to clean up. This is oiss poor service from what I thought was a good company who cares about their customers. Not coming back any time soon. read more

Large parking lot out front of Staples so there's plenty of parking options. Store was clean, well lit and accessible. I was greeted when I came in the store, is directed and where I needed to be, they have aisles and rows of anything you need from office supplies to furniture to computer to briefcase. One Stop shop for your office needs. I was going to get a poster board and pens and I thought it was a really great value for the quality of the product. Anthony at checkout pointed to the donation option of a school supplies for local schools and I definitely added that to my bill. Happy that's an option for schools. Way to go staples! read more

A brief stop to check for a refill for my notepad which is starting to look a little worn. This is a full Staples (is there a smaller footprint?) with paper, office supplies, furniture, computers, printers, software, pens, markers, some candies and more. I checked the notepad section but did not see anything that really caught my eye. The computer department was well stocked and had a decent selection of machines. Prices looked to be about average. There's a certain kind of person who enjoys walking the aisles of an office supply store. Yes, one could find a better selection and pricing online with Amazon for a printer, business software and such -- but the kind of person who needs Staples needs to see and touch the options. The kind of person I'm talking about doesn't just walk the aisles but realizes that one doesn't even realize that a new mechanical pencil, printer paper, USB cord (in purple) or a memory stick is needed until it's in full view and touching distance. This type of person will suddenly remember, "yes, my stapler is empty!" wandering through this store and thrill in the irony. I am this certain kind of person and they have always been very nice to me here even though I don't think I've ever spent more than $20 at a visit. read more

I have never written a review before but feel the need to share how wonderful my first experience to staples on 28th street in GR was. I am planning my daughters bridal shower and needed prints for games, poster board etc. I had no idea what I was doing and Aaron Howell, the printing and marketing supervisor was so patient and helpful so I just wanted to make sure to recognize this young man for a great experience. My daughters and I will continue going to staples for everything thanks to the great customer service from Aaron. read more

I use this Staples a lot for printing and I have always encountered really helpful employees there. The last time I stopped in, I was looking for an item that was out of stock. After asking around to a couple other people working, one of the employees gave me one from their own supplies for free! I was blown away by that level of customer service, which can be hard to come by sometimes. Printing there if you don't have your own printer is super easy and quick. The parking lot is shared by a couple other businesses but it's never full and is conveniently located. read more

We were helped by a tall guy with glasses who gave us a tape measure so we could see how big a desk was. He also helped us with finding the price and the desk AND he was super nice and personal the whole time. I didn't see a name tag and totally forgot to ask his name. I ordered and paid for printing they delivered 2/3 of what was expected. I had to make another trip and waste time waiting for them to run 500 copies. They couldn't save me time by folding them for me either. Bottom line. Don't use them if you need it to be right; but the people are nice read more

I went to this store to have one 8 x 10 sheet scanned and sent to email. It cost $2.10. At OfficeMax this costs $.25. Plus it took an extraordinarily long time. The clerks were not helpful at all. Avoid this and do yourself a favor. read more

I went to their Grand Rapids store to have some color printing done. I was charged 39.06 plus tax for 25 copies. I was told to come back in an hour and I could pick them up--they were too busy to do it then. I was not informed that I was charged $9.00 for expediting my job until the clerk rang me up (a different clerk than the one who wrote up my order). I was also told that they couldn't print bleeding edges and my print job would have a white frame border all around. My son used U-Printing online and got 50 copies for $30 dollars delivered to his door with bleeding edges. Staples printing is obsolete and if you do use them, make sure you know all the hidden charges. read more

I've never had a problem here in the past but yesterday I went in to return a calculator I had purchased for my son. It had not been opened and was in the original packaging. I also had the receipt but they would not take it back or give me a store credit because I was outside the allotted return time. I was blown away by this as 20 feet from where I was attempting to make my return, there was a rack of the EXACT same calculators. I can understand not giving my money back but no store credit? Seriously! read more
