I really dislike having to spend my money here. Service Repro is the only place, that myself and my professors are aware of, that sells a certain item I need quite frequently for school, so I visit often. First of all, I think the prices are fairly expensive; however, I'm not holding that against them because there isn't always much they can do about it, and supply/demand and what not. My problem comes with the staff. Every time I walk in I just get a sense that they just don't care. They barely have time to look up from their phone to welcome people into the store, then when you ask them where something is, they sigh and sulk down the aisle to show you, or just kind of point you in a direction. The other day I was in a rush to buy a board and their debit card machine was down. I get it, it happens. I asked them to cut my board in half so it would be ready to pick up when I came back with cash or when the machine was back up. They told me they wouldn't do that because I hadn't paid for it yet. Well, it's not really my fault your machine isn't working. I ask if they have any idea when the machine will be up and running and I get another 'no'. I come back an hour later with cash, my board isn't cut and I get the cold shoulder once again. At this point I"m aggravated so I take my change, receipt, say 'thanks' and walk out. Didn't get a 'you're welcome', 'sorry for the wait', or even a 'yup'. On a different occasion I was looking for a supply I wasn't familiar with but brought a sheet in with the exact description/brand/weight/etc. I purchase it, bring it to class and its the wrong thing. It's hard to believe that a shop less than 5 minutes away from an art school wouldn't have employees that know what is what about art supplies. I have yet to meet an employee that's pleasant or helpful. read more
