One of my favorite features is the monthly art locker. For a one-time cost, you get a physical key with access to a locker with monthly goodies! The staff may be some of the kindest I've met. You can always talk about your day or learn about what's been going on downtown. There is a shop cat named Yuki who is soooooo cute and is my personal "where's waldo" whenever I'm in the store. I had a bit of an advantage having thrown before in high school but had forgotten a lot. I felt it was pretty beginner friendly and they did a great job explaining the names of things without going too heavily into the jargon nor feeling patronizing. I felt really confident with the bowl I made and liked being able to add my own design to it at the end as well. I do think it would be nice to know about the glaze options ahead of class just in case that affects how we structure or design our pieces. Overall, I definitely think the one-time class was really fun. The memberships and 8-week courses really intrigued me so I definitely think I'll be looking into those!

The table was completely clear -- no signage, no tiles, nothing indicating it was reserved. At no point were we informed that the table was reserved or that there was a waitlist. After choosing our colors, we asked an employee to quickly review the instructions. During that interaction, another employee approached and stated the table was reserved. I asked if we needed to move and was told, "No, it's fine, we'll figure it out," and the instructions continued. A few minutes later, after staff were visibly discussing the situation and staring at us, we were told we would need to move because the table was reserved and there was a waitlist. An alternative was offered, but it was not accessible for us, so we declined and left. We were later told that walk-ins are required to check in at the "front desk," which is actually located at the back of the store. This is not stated on the website, and there is no signage in the store explaining this process. We were also told reserved tables are typically marked with tiles -- however, the table we sat at was completely empty and unmarked. By their own stated policy, the process was not followed in this situation. The handling of the situation was disappointing, poorly communicated, and made for an unnecessarily uncomfortable experience
