I recently bought a painting done by a dear friend and needed to get it framed. I looked into a few online options, but decided that I wanted to stop in to Mercury Head Gallery. I'm so glad I did, because Jeri was incredible! She greeted us right when we came in and was SO helpful. She showed us lots of great options for frames and gave us tips on viewing them with the painting. It was also great that we stopped in because Jeri showed us that the painting (which is on a wood board) is a bit crooked and would need to be trimmed down to even it out so it could be framed. I'm so glad I didn't just get something online because it definitely wouldn't have worked. Once we chose a frame, Jeri got me a quote and let me know it would be done in about two to three weeks, and we can pay when we pick it up. It definitely isn't cheap, but I think it's well worth it to take care of my original art that I will cherish forever! They also provide printing services, photo capturing, art reproduction, photo printing, and photo restoration. read more

This place is the best! I had a couple, large but simple repairs that needed to be done and they were honest, fast, fair priced, and knowledgeable. What a phenomenal experience!! Ben and Laury love what they do - and it shows in the meticulous care they give each job. I brought in an old portrait of my 2nd Great Grandfather James Pennington that I borrowed from the Cannonsburg Museum. The portrait shows James in his Civil War uniform (he fought with the 9th New York Cavalry). Ben captured the photo and Laury touched up the age spots of the original. Both Ben and Laury took the time to listen to the story of how I found the portrait and developed an interest in preserving this portrait for generations to come. They assisted me in picking out a quality frame, ordered name plates, and printed two copies for myself and my mother. I knew the finished product would look nice... but I never expected it to look this nice!! The finished product actually looks better than the original! Thank you Ben! Thank you Laury! Overall, Ben and team do a great job framing and matting everything. They always take care of your piece and make it look just like you want. The have hundreds of frames and matting options and let you visualize it beforehand. I've taken several sports related and autographed pieces to them and they've always done a great job. UV protected glass and a nice frame means my framed pieces will stay nice for a long time! They use all the right products so nothing will damage your photo or artwork, only preserve it. You can take your business elsewhere and maybe save a buck or two, but in the long run, the quality and the care they put into their work will have you wishing you went to Mercury Head Gallery. They usually have a couple week turn around, so just don't be in a huge rush. 5.0 out of 5.0. Will continue to come back. read more

I brought in an old oil painting that needed to be reframed, a map of unusual size, and some photos that I love but didn't know how to have framed.
