I've been here multiple times and have usually had an enjoyable experience, though accessibility…read morehas always limited my options. (High tables, cramped seating, low movement space) My partner and I stopped in as walk-ins on Saturday around 2pm, fully understanding it would be busy and that there could be a wait. When we entered, there was no signage and no employees directing guests. Like others who walked in, we selected our pottery and sat at an open table. The table was completely clear -- no signage, no tiles, nothing indicating it was reserved. At no point were we informed that the table was reserved or that there was a waitlist. After choosing our colors, we asked an employee to quickly review the instructions. During that interaction, another employee approached and stated the table was reserved. I asked if we needed to move and was told, "No, it's fine, we'll figure it out," and the instructions continued. A few minutes later, after staff were visibly discussing the situation and staring at us, we were told we would need to move because the table was reserved and there was a waitlist. An alternative was offered, but it was not accessible for us, so we declined and left. We were later told that walk-ins are required to check in at the "front desk," which is actually located at the back of the store. This is not stated on the website, and there is no signage in the store explaining this process. We were also told reserved tables are typically marked with tiles -- however, the table we sat at was completely empty and unmarked. By their own stated policy, the process was not followed in this situation. The handling of the situation was disappointing, poorly communicated, and made for an unnecessarily uncomfortable experience

The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain the process to us in detail. Other customers were also friendly and helpful to us while we painted.

This cute shop is mainly a yarn store, with tons of skeins of yarns for sale. They also have some accessories/notions and other items for projects, and I did find a cute embroidery kit. They host events and classes, and I would love to take an intro to crochet class some time. They also do other meetups like "Knitfaced Nights" which are drop in community craft nights. Yelp just announced their trend forecast for 2026 and searches for crocheting classes are up 220%!! So if you're looking for a new hobby, put away your phone and check out Unwind GR.

Customer service needs work. I am aware that we are in a digital age and everything is online but…read moreif a customer comes in and asks questions in person why not assist them instead of just saying "its all online" There are also lessons online... youtube has essentially everything. But obviously I was attempting to patronize this business and take classes but being brushed off really doesn't bode well and make one want to take a class when they cant get a simple question answered. Yes, I could have gone online but the fact that I was there IN PERSON and the owner/employee or whomever simply refused to answer any questions just simply off putting. Suppose it had been an elderly person not comfortable going online...would they get the same response? Be better...do better.

If you have any time to kill before a concert, it's a third Thursday, or you're just wanting to browse, this is definitely the place for you. The store specializes in cute fun gifts and trinkets. They have everything from cookbooks to baby toys to stickers. There are gifts for almost every age and demographic. There are often goods from local artists and creatives which is really nice. One of my favorite features is the monthly art locker. For a one-time cost, you get a physical key with access to a locker with monthly goodies! The staff may be some of the kindest I've met. You can always talk about your day or learn about what's been going on downtown. There is a shop cat named Yuki who is soooooo cute and is my personal "where's waldo" whenever I'm in the store. Their marketing and promotions are really fun and the videos often make me laugh. They offer some free and paid events, making it a nice place to meet new people and engage in creativity. One of these days I need to make their cloud workshop!
