My battery health capacity was at 73% and I could easily my new one at 100% health capacity. My phone was only 30% charged when I got it back because they said that's how new batteries come. It would have been nice to get my phone back fully charged, but I'd also rather have my phone back sooner. They are located between Vitality Bowls and MOD Pizza at Centerpoint. They take walk-ins but only allow 2 people inside the small building at a time so you may need to stand outside to wait. They are currently closed on Sundays but that may change. I brought my very old, very big laptop up to them because it wasn't letting me log in. First off, they did not make fun of me for having a 20 lb computer and told me they would assess what it would cost and advise me if they thought I'd be better off buying a newer computer. True to their word, they came back with great price to fix it and had it ready quickly. I now have my old (heavy) computer back with all of my programs & documents. I might as well have bought a new controller with that money. Avoid this dishonest, unprofessional place.

I decided to buy a new desktop computer so I could start steaming sporting events and other entertainment and be able to drop my extremely high Xfinity cable bill I was paying which kept getting higher and higher every year. Before my new Windows 11 Dell computer arrived I talked about streaming with Mike and he suggested I should have a Graphics card with another HDMI port added to my new computer tower to so I could have one HDMI port cable connected to my computer monitor and the other HDMI port to my Samsung smart TV. When my computer arrived I brought it there and Mike and Cody installed the Graphics card with another HDMI port and then I brought it home and hooked my computer back up to my Smart TV. After everything was connected I was just seeing an annoying "NO Signal" message showing on my TV. I tried using my smart phone and looked at several YouTube videos to try to fix the problem but I was not able to fix it myself. I then talked to Mike on the phone he said I could take my computer there early in the morning the next day and he would do his best to fix my "No Signal" problem. After arriving by 9AM with my computer tower with my two HDMI cords Mike set up two different computer monitors in a side room and connected Wireless internet to my computer. He then went to work and made a few changes to my computer tower and said my "NO Signal problem should be fixed now. I then brought my tower back home and connected everything up the way he told me and my problem was finally fixed. After Mike did this for me I asked him how much I owed him he said I owed him nothing because he wanted to make sure I was happy with the work they did for me and he wanted my computer to be able to stream entertainment to my TV the way it was supposed to. I really appreciate Mike going out of his way to make me happy by making sure my computer was streaming to my TV properly. I will make sure I bring my computers that need work done to them I'm sure for many years to come. read more

I'm a small business and cannot be without my PC laptop for more than half a day. Bought a new laptop and needed Dropbox installed on it. Also needed Outlook set up so the new laptop could receive and send emails just like the old laptop. Both the new and the old laptops had to mirror one another in terms of Dropbox and Outlook functionality. I wanted to be able to access all my Microsoft files regardless of which laptop is used to create & save the files, i.e. the Dropbox piece of the puzzle. The same goes for my emails which are hosted by www.cloudiance.com. The aforementioned was the mission. I called three local computer service companies and told each what was required. Two said they could do it, but couldn't commit to having my old laptop back in my hands in half a day (I did appreciate their honesty). When I spoke to Jason at ComputerRescue911, he said doing what I needed done and getting me my old PC back in half a day wouldn't be a problem. We set an appointment for two days out. Believe me, I was extremely uptight when I showed up with both by new and old laptops in hand because I've been lied to before by vendors who over promise and under deliver. I left the building just under an hour later after talking through my requirements again with Jason and providing him with user IDs, PWs and other required information. Before leaving I reiterated that I needed my old PC back that day or I was screwed. Jason delivered as promised. I got my old laptop back 4 hours later, and two days later I picked up my new laptop. Kudos to Jason! He did what he promised. If you're going stay in business, you have to exceed your customers' expectations and Jason did just that. Needless to say, but I'll say it nonetheless, I know where I'll go when I again need help with my laptops. Thanks again, Jason!! read more

My wife's laptop's hard drive died and when I pulled it out to try and connect it via USB to another computer to retrieve the paper that she was currently working on I found that the SDD mini hard drive had a unique connector that I had never seen before. I looked up computer repair companies in Grand Rapids Michigan and I found a few but Computer Rescue 911 was rated the highest so that next morning I called them and they thought that the had what I needed. Turns out that even they had not seen that type of connector before but undeterred Dylan Lindhout had me take a seat while he went into his office and spent about 15 minutes researching the problem. He found an article that dealt with this same issue and they had no solution either. I thanked him for his effort and asked if there was any place else in town that I might try and he did not hesitate to tell me about Comprenew and give me directions to their location. He also asked me for my email because he was going to do some more research into my problem and he would email me if he found anything. Needless to say, neither Best Buy nor Comprenew had anything to help me. Fortunately for me, Dylan email me as I was leaving Comprenew with a description of an adapter card that I could use as well as a link to it on Amazon so I could purchase it. I ordered it immediately and it arrived two days later and I was able to use it to retrieve my wife's paper and save the day for her. When our laptop wouldn't turn on after a water spill, I brought to Apple, and they quoted me $999 to have the mac repaired. They referred me to Computer Rescue 911 to see if they could do anything else. Not only did Computer Rescue 911 properly diagnose the issue (wasn't water damage, was actually a fried logic board), but they were able to thoroughly explain what was happening, and provide options and recommendations for moving forward. Our cost was almost half what Apple had quoted. Our second experience was when when thought our hard drive went out. When we thought we were going to have to replace it and potentially deal with data loss, they were able to save the day by properly diagnosing that the hard drive was just loose and needed to be better secured with a new screw. On top of the trustworthy repairs, the customer service is fabulous. Andrew has been the lead on our account, and we feel completely confident with our laptop in his hands. I love that they make communication so easy through both texting and an online ticket option. I highly recommend Computer Rescue 911 for your computer needs. No one wants to pay for computer repairs. I dropped off an Alienware laptop that was making remarkably loud fan noise with Ray and had battery issues. I presumed both fans and battery would need replacement. Even though he knew I wasn't concerned with cost, he took the time to disassemble, clean, and reassess the fans. Both are in great working order. The old battery had expanded and flexed the mouse pad outwards. Looks good as new now. In addition he cleaned the keys and screen for free - didn't even have to ask. Outstanding! Didn't have to deal with any of the obnoxious over-selling I have had at Best Buy. Ray ran a drive health diagnostic I hadn't even asked for and made recommendations to replace SSD - which I didn't know was degrading to near the point I would get the 'blue screen of death.' He was transparent about what repairs I could do myself, what replacement drive made sense, how soon replacement should be done, and what was simply overkill for my personal use. Professional, helpful, yet relaxed! The technicians and counter staff were all very genuine and accommodating. Even though we had to drive out to the Woodland Mall portion of the Beltline from Downtown GR, we'll make that trip again every time! I dumped a mug of coffee on my old laptop by accident; and I knew just enough about computers to know the poor thing was done for, but not enough to hope that my data and information might be salvaged from the hard drives. Calling these guys up and just speaking with the desk clerk put me at such ease- and the technical service backed up their store-front manner as well! So I have a 9 year old computer tower that I have been limping along by repairing it myself but in July the time came to where I could not get past the Boot Up screen it just keep looping me around. During the initial phone consult he explained my possible desktop issues and provided a break down of what he would do at the time of the service appointment. His previous appointment ran a little longer and he called to provide me with the heads up and confirm the appointment. While in our office he work a mask and followed safe practices. I had an issue with (what I thought at first) was my monitor. I bought a new cable as I was told it might be just the Cable. I tried it at home and it worked for a little while. Then it didn't. I then brought in my desk top and tried to see what might be the problem. Gerrit tried for about 3 days of running my whole set up at their shop. He just was not able to duplicate the issue but said it ran fine at their shop. I took it home and it runs just fine. I tried a different electric plug set up. So far so good. We all have no real idea what the problem was. They tried very hard, but with no issues what else could they do. Certainly they gave it all they had. A fluke and now it is working. Today I had a problem with pop ups and was worried about giving information out to the internet. I have been a customer of Computer Rescue 911 for years and stopped by for advice and help. Ray Gaiser met me at the counter and took the time to walk me through my computer and he cleaned up my account. Very helpful and extremely knowledgable. When I arrived home I plugged in and still had a problem with pop ups. I called Ray and he determined the problem was in my system and he remoted my computer and cleaned up the problem that was not something he could see at his location. I was in distress. While finishing the last few pages of my book, my grandaughter accidently broke my laptop screen. I was worried because my document was only saved on my laptop. I called in to inquire about antivirus protection for my laptops. Gerrit answered and suggested Webroot Antivirus software. He answered all of my questions. When I asked how long it would take, as I was assuming I would have to get a subscription and do the install myself or bring my machines in to the store, he said he could do the installs remotely. I was sold. Within less than half an hour he had the software installed on both of my laptops. He stayed with me on the phone until we were certain that both installs had gone well. Wow! In this day and age good customer service is hard to come by, but not with Computer Rescue 911! They have good old fashion customer service. I had an issue with my Airpods, and sent them in to these guys. Gerrit quickly reached out, let me know the issue and walked me through the steps he was taking to diagnose the problem. I had a motherboard fry. I took it in and the woman at the desk took care to set me up. Jason magically found the right part for my old pc. He worked with me to order it the same day they found the problem and got it in a week or so later. He had all the parts ready to put it in and worked wi the me to pay for it ahead of time. They called and texted as they said and when it was done they had me ready to go. He explained what happened in details and what he did to fix it. He also gave me an estimated life-span on it. My laptop hard drive failed while traveling across the country. I googled "laptop repair" and these guys came up #1 with hundreds of 5-star reviews. That was enough for me. I called them, explained that I was only in Grand Rapids for 2 days and they said "bring it in and we will diagnose it and get it up and running for you pronto" AND THEY DID! My Outlook stopped working and I was in the middle of a major training program, and my repair man had retired. I searched online for help in the Grand Rapids area and Computer Rescue 911 popped up. I left a message on their website Friday night and was surprised to receive a call soon after. They were very reassuring and made me feel like I was in safe hands. Have new construction on a condo we moved into several months ago. The Cat 6 installers erroneously terminated all the ethernet cables in a mechanical room on the lower floor and was causing a lot of connection issues. I've had several other companies troubleshoot the problem, none of them could seem to get it right. Even purchased a new router. In November, 2013 (yes, it's taken me this long to getting around to writing a review ), I hauled…read moremy desktop computer into Computer Solutions after getting disturbing error messages about hard disk errors that Windows was unable to repair; this was following a period of a month or so where the computer seemed to be going slower, and slower, and s-l-o-w-e-r. Long story short, the guys at Computer Solutions had my computer for two full days and after doing a full diagnostic on it and determining that the 3TB solid state drive was having electrical surge issues and was not repairable, they carefully extracted all of my photos / documents / etc. from both the 3TB drive and the second 100+GB drive (I can't remember exactly how big it was). I was one happy camper! No lost data! New computer (crossed over to a new iMac this time), but no data loss. What a relief. I found the price they charged me to be very reasonable, they were very professional, and I would certainly go back there again. My sense was that they were as concerned as I about what it was going to cost me, and they were very up-front about everything they did/ planned to do and what the cost would be.

I'm glad we did because it was not easy. Joel was patient and professional and I am so grateful for his help. When the usual transfer application failed, he went above and beyond to figure out a way of getting all of my daughter's data transferred, and was even successful in recovering some applications she thought she had lost. I cannot thank him enough! Their store is easy to find, clean and well laid out. In addition to the repair services they offer previously owned and refurbished Apple products for purchase. I will certainly turn to them first for any future issues we might have.

Ryan showed up on time, got the details of the issue, and took my phone to his vehicle. In 30 minutes i had my phone back with everything replaced.
