Express P.C.? Oh you bet! Today I received the best trip on the polar express, brought my son's laptop in for WiFi issues and about 20 minutes later it was fixed. Talk about FAST! Not only did I get high quality personable care, I got a lesson on what to do and look for next time! I've never felt more confident leaving a store knowing I got high quality at the best price. Now my price was undeniably the best. I can't even fathom the good graces I received. It was truly a Christmas present from a SAINT. Have you ever heard of Miracle on 34th street? Well this was Miracle on 44th and Kalamazoo! I'm telling you. You will not be disappointed. If you've never been in there they have a whole screen rotating base prices which is great! Great help with my pc. I would highly recommend as I didn't have to buy anything and yet they provided me with information and advice.

AJ told me my motherboard on my laptop was shot after he replaced the battery and the charger. Before investing in a new computer I decided to get a second opinion. It was merely the battery and adapter that needed to be replaced. AJ said he did both. The new guy checked on Dell website and learned the adapter AJ bought was not designed for that model. Next, the new guy replaced the battery which AJ said was fine, but it wasn't. AJ also said he copied all my files but he had nothing beyond 2019 when I bought the computer. New guy copied all, at no cost, no charge even for the jump drive. I am so glad I pursued a second opinion and I now have a skilled techie I can trust. read more

He came in when the other worker called him about any issue, to speak with us in person, even when he was dealing with a physical injury making it hard to walk. Our company's computer froze and it wouldn't boot up at all. We couldn't access any of our records or appointments. To say we were a bit panicked was an understatement. I took it to the big box store the computer was purchased from and received no help except to tell us to buy another computer. Then I found Express PC which was located close to our business. I brought it in and it was diagnosed with a bad hard drive. It needed to be replaced and I asked if any information could be recovered (especially all our client records) and they said they would try but it was unlikely. The next day they called to say they were able to recover all the data!! They transferred all the info to a newly installed hard drive. The service was amazing. The price was reasonable and we couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Express PC. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!! read more

I would not recommend this business. I went to Express PC to sell my used laptop. The person behind the counter was knowledgeable, gave an appearance of having manager authority, and led me to believe he had full authority to enact such a transaction. After examination of my computer and talking about how low his offer had to be for him to make money on a resale of my computer, he offered a price which I then accepted. At that point I had a buy/sell agreement for my computer. Then things quickly unraveled. He proceeded to tell me he had to call his manager for approval, and subsequently he rescinded the offer. This was unethical, and I protested. He proceeded to make excuses and tell me that his offer wasn't an offer without approval by his manager. He never made it clear in advance of making an offer, that it was subject to manager approval. I will not do business with an unethical operation. _________________________________ SUBSEQUENT EDIT to my review following the owner's reply below: Thank you for your reply and allowing me the opportunity to set the record straight. We obviously have a disagreement with certain facts, and I will cut to the chase as to the nature of my disagreement. 1. When the attendant behind the counter asked if the computer had any problems, I noted the sole exception of the crack in touchscreen affecting the right third of the touchscreen functionality. There was no deception regarding that issue...i.e. scratch vs. crack, or half vs. third of the screen. It was clearly visible, and we had no other discussion or disagreement on that matter. 2. I disagree strongly with the owner's statement that the offer was predicated with the word "might". The attendant never used that word, nor did he tell me that the offer was contingent on discussing the offer with the manager. In short, he made me an unconditioned offer, and I accepted the offer...and prepared to fill out the paperwork. Only then did he proceed to tell me he had to speak with his manager, which then led to him rescinding the offer. 3. The owner states he does not understand about why I think getting a manager's approval is unethical. I never stated (or implied) that getting the manager's approval is unethical. In fact, quite the opposite...I believe it is a good business practice. However, it is not ethical to make an unconditional offer, have the offer accepted, and then rescind the offer after a discussion with the manager...especially when the attendant gave every impression that he was authorized to make his unconditional offer. read more

One of the hinges of my laptop was cracked and broken. I looked up online to find a cheap place to go, but other places asked for about $79 and more. At the last minute, I yelped to find a good computer repair place, and Express PC was on very top. AJ was very friendly. He had many knowledges about computer (obviously!), and shared the informations of computer for my future references. The price was very affordable. If anything happens to my laptop again, I will definetly be back here! I highly recommend this place! read more

My husband and I just moved to GR, and this is definitely our new computer place! I tried them based on the other review, and was completely thrilled with them. We're usually pretty computer savvy, and can generally deal with computer issues on our own, but I'd somehow picked up a really nasty rogue virus on my laptop that we couldn't get any virus protection to find and disable. It had taken over my internet connection, and when I researched the virus from another computer, it said it either takes over or cuts off access to any other program that was opened. I was terrified that my computer would be so corrupted that it would need to be reformatted, because the software on my laptop is worth more than the laptop itself, and it's not replaceable without buying it again. A.J. was FANTASTIC! He spent a lot of time with us, both when we dropped my laptop off, and when we picked it up, explaining ways to avoid viruses beyond the basics that everyone knows, ideas for backing up my software, and patiently answering my bazillions of questions with a lot of really useful information. I've had my laptop back for a few days now, and it's running perfectly. On top of that, he told me that if anything does happen again shortly after completing the repair, they are sometimes able to re-repair at no charge. Their prices are super reasonable - I looked around before taking my laptop in, and the next place that I was comfortable with was charging almost double. Super knowledgeable, very reasonable turnaround time, friendly and helpful staff, very fair prices - I couldn't have asked for better service!! read more

Well, this is my first order of business since getting my computer back from Express PC. When my hard drive crashed a little over a week ago, i turned to Yelp in a panic and found this place. It was nearby, and i could tell by the other in depth positive reviews that this was where I should go. I'm glad I did. For an extremely fair price, AJ replaced my hard drive and had my computer up and running again in a matter of days. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and cordial throughout. DO NOT waste your time with some of the bigger chain repair places, notably the one with the initials BBGS. They would have charged me roughly double what I paid at Express PC. I rarely write reviews, but I needed to for this. I was skeptical at first, but they had a dedicated service, I recommend 100%.

My pc wasn't working right I brought it in and he fixed it and found that the hard drive was bad 10/10.

My PC died and I found these guys. They offer free diagnostic and basic repairs for $65 and up for most makes (including Macs). I took my Dell PC in at 1pm last Wednesday and they called me back at 4pm telling me it was finished! I can't believe it! For the $65, they diagnosed my problem, put in a new power supply, and cleaned it up. When I went to pick up the computer, I told the owner that the computer was also running slowly. He spent 30 minutes showing me how to speed up the computer and download the appropriate free software that would do the job. He even wrote down the procedure for me! When I got home, I followed his instructions. Everything worked perfectly and my old PC is almost like new! This is a small business, so you can expect great personal attention that you won't get at a "big box" computer repair place like Geek Squad. I shop and do business locally whenever I can. This place had to to be on the of the best computer repair place that I have been to. The customer service was really good. They were helpful with explaining everything and they seem to know what they are talking about. The prices are a bit high, but I assume that it is pretty high at other places as well. The guys here took in my ps4. It had water damage to it and didn't work. Only took about a week and 85$ and now it's back to normal. I looked around for a place that will fix or attempt to fix my ps4. This was the only place out there that does. read more

This is the first review I've ever written but I am compelled to let others know of the superb service I experienced at Express PC! I have a Dell XPS 8300 on which I do lot of work as Editor-in-Chief of a publication that goes to thousands. My computer contains a lot of critical material and when it died I started searching for a reliable repair shop. I couldn't have found a better one in terms of competency, integrity, speed and cost. They diagnosed, special ordered and replaced the motherboard and had me back to work in four days, charging only $80 for labor! (Motherboard was $201) Matt also was very helpful in answering all my questions and tweaking some settings that improved the performance. He was genuinely interested in assisting me in anyway he could without charging for this "extra" personal service. WOW!!! I came away with a profound respect for who these guys are. read more

AJ was terrific, very helpful and quick. He told me my computer would probably be ready in a week since he has to order a new keyboard....for my Asus laptop. I had spilled quite a bit of coffee on it. He had it ready to roll in 3 business days!!!! After, first, calling Best Buy and getting a very unsatisfactory response to my repair inquiry, I checked YELP. AJ's price for repair was much less than that quoted by Best Buy. I am very satisfied with Express PC service and repair. Only downer....as a 64 y/o responsible, check writing person, I couldn't write a check. ARGHHHHH! Cash and credit card only. Fast, professional service. Fully explained what likely caused the defect, the repairs that were needed and what to do to prevent them from occurring again. As for the repair cost, consider this... A woman has a leaky faucet so she calls a plumber to fix it. She gets the bill and it says "Washer - $50.00." She complains, "50 bucks for a washer?" Plumber re-writes the bill, "Washer - $0.25, Knowing how to replace it - $49.75"... :) I highly recommend them for any computer repairs. I found them here on YELP and was not disappointed. The DC adapter on my computer broke, and since this computer is for my private practice and has very specialized software installed, I was sunk until it was fixed. I was very happy to find a computer repair service that is locally owned and not part of a big chain. You always get the best service with a locally owned business. I was right. Everyone was very friendly, and very helpful. My computer was fixed quickly and professionally at a reasonable price. The man who helped me (so sorry, can't remember his name!) showed me photos of the work they did - taken on his cell phone. We even discussed some cell phone issues I was having, and I was given some great tips and resources! Great service, and I get to keep my money in my community. I highly recommend them! read more
