There is A LOT of Coronavirus related mask fraud going on out there. So, to be safe, I opted to go with a branded retailer who does not have a 3rd party market component. At the end of last month, I placed a Staples.com order for what is listed as 2 cartridge respirator masks at Staples for COVID 19 (coronavirus). Still, me being me, I felt a little suspicious as no one else had any in stock nor did Staples have in stock any of the other brands. I even called their customer service line to ensure that these were actual masks. The Customer Service rep was unable to pull up the item so I got no answer. Still, as the price was only slightly lower than that of individual masks by the same maker, I assumed there may be a slight discount for purchasing a multi-pack. So, to make sure I got in before they potentially ran out, I placed my order. Afterwards, I provided the rep with my order information and she looked at the order - again, she too thinking these were for MASKS. To ensure that this order was what I thought it was, I asked a web question as well just to be safe. I finally get a web reply that no, these aren't masks, just cartridges (though the ad photo clearly displays masks & LITERALLY SAYS "CARTRIDGE RESPIRATOR" in multiple places). I request x 2 that my order be cancelled via email as I was misled by their ad into placing it and other means of communication such as chat were not functioning. Not only did they ignore my cancellation requests, they charged me and shipped it anyway! Now I'm stuck in this wait for it to arrive and try to return it loop. I'm very agitated by this whole situation. I had an opportunity to purchase 3M N95 masks at a reasonable price just before they went Medical Personnel Only and passed it up for these as I honestly believed that a company as seemingly reputable as Staples wouldn't bait and switch customers during such a time and with such an important product. Sadly, I was wrong! Buyer beware! read more

I have been to this location numerous times for school supplies etc. Lately I have been going to this location a lot to make copies of plays for my basketball team I am coaching. Sometimes the machines don't always work well and it is difficult to find an associate who is willing to help, but luckily for me DEVIAN was working this night! She was BEYOND helpful, very kind, and super knowledgeable. It was unfortunate the machine was making errors and I was in a bit of a rush. Devian stepped right in to help me! Customer service is super important to me and I have to say BRAVO 5 Stars to Devian!! She was so helpful I had to ask her to right her name down because I did not want to forget it! I hope she sees this so she can know how much I truly appreciate her help! Thanks Again Devian! read more

Silly but maybe it is the easy button that brings me here. The Staples in the 24/7 location is much bigger and better laid out but this one is near Trader Joe's so I can do my one stop shopping. I've gone to the other office stores but seem to drop in here. The have small annual monthly planners that I love because they are wire spiral bound so after 2 months the staples haven't fallen out with the pages all over the place. Quality is what brings me back. Be careful in the parking lot...it is small and can be dangerous. Eyes up and not on your cell / smart phone. Check in at the door! read more

I rarely shop here as I don't trust them when it comes to pricing. I had an interview the other day which was last minute so I stopped in here to get a "leather" style binder. I compared all the options and picked one that was clearly marked $29 on the shelf. I get to the register and it is $65. OK - Someone must have put it in the wrong spot (although that price is outrageous for a pleather binder). I went back and picked a different one - this time marked as $28. I get to the register and it comes up $52. OK - this is getting ridiculous. I explain whats happening to the young cashier and after a whole lot of back and forth and checking he enters the right price. During this back and forth he asks to sign me up for a Staples card. I politely declined but then at the end of the transaction he says "The least you could have done was sign up for the card - I just saved you $24!". I just shook my head in disbelief. So apparently charging me the marked price is doing me a favor? I wasn't rude in the least, I just left after buying it but talk about a bad taste in my mouth. The few times I have shopped here - the price at register is ALWAYS wrong and ALWAYS in Staples favor. I don't get how they get away with that. The cashier viewed it as normal and the way things work. read more

Came here last night to send an international package via UPS. Waiting 10+ minutes before someone realized that there were a bunch of people waiting to ship something (there were only 3 people on the floor working: one cashier, one manager and one copying person). When I told the copying person that it seems like the letter envelop for UPS is out of stock, he said he doesn't know where that is and where he can find it. He called the office manager, who seemed clueless, radioed someone, and said "can i just give you any envelop?". Uh...hello? You expect me to send an international letter package on some white envelope and expect UPS to deliver? What would I do with my shipping label? Glue it to the front? Anyway, he then said he has never done this before and I would have to come back when someone who knows how to do this is back (she is out sick, apparently) or go try another Staples down the road several miles away. Guess what? I went to a UPS store that is about to close 1.2 miles away. Went in. Got my letters shipped. Out. All in 2 minutes. read more

Dear Staples - I would first and foremost like to thank you for being the "Office Superstore" of Framingham, Massachusetts. Without you, I would have no place to get my cat-shaped paper clips, or purple feather-topped pens that squiggle, or even my bunny-of-the-day desk calendar. You give me the place where my wildest dreams of the office world can come true, like paying dollar fifty for a one page fax. I cannot tell you how thrilled it makes me to come in on my way home from work to grab a little something from you, to then wait in line for over 10 minutes while one of your employees hits on me like I'm a 5 dollar hooker on Santa Monica Boulevard. Even more though, thank you for trying to be creative by selling me massive delicious-looking buckets of stale Red Vines by your check out counters as you know I cannot resist them, and it really is what my ass truly needs entering the holiday season. Just like a heroin-using std filled Vegas stripper, you got a lot to offer, but only so much that I could possibly ever want. Regards, Me. read more

We use staples.com and their business service for work. Recently we ordered a bunch of stuff for the upcoming show season at the performing arts center where I work. Unfortunately, I went on my honeymoon right afterwards and therefore didn't get the check any of the equipment until yesterday (a few weeks later). One of the items didn't work correctly but according to their website I was out of the 14 day period of being allowed to return it. I called the service line just to check and make sure I couldn't return the item, and they didn't even mention it. They were super friendly and helpful, only had me on hold for a minute, and arranged the pick up of the old item and drop off of the new for the next day. I suppose she had her easy button right there and happened to press it when I called. It's rare that you get service that is both pleasant and prompt, kudos to their service team. read more

Worst customer service. I always have issues trying to place orders thru their website. Today, online it says the order can be ready by 1pm, but when I tried to select that it wanted to charge a rush fee. I called Staples and they said it shouldn't do that, but didn't know how to fix it other than to try selecting 8:30pm, which was also showing a rush fee. I asked if I placed the order, could she waive the rush fee when I got to the store and she said no. She said I could try emailing it in instead but that she wouldn't be able to guarantee the job before 4pm. What's the point if online it can still be ordered before 4pm? I said I'd go somewhere else instead and she seemed to care less to lose me as a customer. Won't be back. read more

DON'T ORDER DELIVERY. 10/28 - Ordering from Staples online is awful. First time I ordered from them, I didn't fully look at the order confirmation email, just saw they got it and it was in process. Cool. Days later, after my stuff was supposed to have been delivered and I had received multiple "delayed delivery" emails, I checked my original order confirmation email which has in the TINIEST PRINT that you HAVE TO PRINT OUT A DRIVER RELEASE FORM in order for them to leave your order at your residence. ARE YOU KIDDING?! No other company does that! WHY IS THAT NOT MORE CLEARLY STATED ANYWHERE! AND WHY IS THAT NOT STATED ON ANY OF THE "DELAYED DELIVERY" EMAILS???! AND WHYYYYY DID THE DELIVERY DRIVER NOT EVER EVEN FREAKING KNOCK!! WE'RE IN LOCKDOWN EEEVVVEERRRYYYOOOONNNEEE IS HOOOOOOOOME!!!! Second time I figured I'd give them another try because some good Hammermill paper was on sale for $30 when it's usually $64. Cautiously ordered it. Printed out the stupid freaking release form. Did everything correctly. Delivery was made on time. Wasn't my freaking Hammermill. They sent me the off-brand TruRed that's worth $45. Freaking ripping me off now, huh? Don't freaking think so STAPLES. Customer service was quick to put in a re-delivery of the paper I paid for and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. However I had to print off another stuuuupid "driver release form" and that took my freaking LAST piece of freaking printer paper. So it better ****ing arrive TOMORROW AS PROMISED. I will NEVER NEVER EVER order a stinking thing from stupid Staples ever freaking again. UPDATE: 10/29 - Whaddya know, my Hammermill NEVER CAME. Got an email bright and early 7:30am this morning that my order was out for delivery. It's now after 6pm. Called customer service and was told I could expect an EMAIL UPDATE within one business day. HALLELUJAH, I GET AN UPDATE!! Never mind my freaking paper that I use EVERY DAY working from home and am now 100% OUT OF, I can expect a stupid freaking UPDATE. Greeeeaaat thanks sooooo much Staples. You guys and your stupid freaking WATCO delivery are utterly and completely incompetent. The customer service rep could not even give me a day or time to expect my freaking delivery. NEVER. A. Let's just say I'm not ever ordering from here again. Via phone. They were suppose to cancel my order which meant also canceling everything else on that order (coupons, credit card, gift cards, etc). They didn't until I called them again today. So now I have to wait 3-5 business days and that's not ideal. It was already ridiculous on Friday when I called to even make a purchase. Spent nearly an hour or so trying to do it. read more

I utilized the staples.com website to create my own postcards for my business advertising, as I always try to do. If ordered by 2 p.m, they are ready the same day. I created my postcards and clicked on the preview button..I noticed that the postcard had black ink where it shouldn't, so I hit the edit button. When the edit page came up, there was no black ink, then I would hit the preview and the black was there again..Went back to edit, it was gone..After messing with it for over an hour and spending approx. 3 hours creating the postcard, I went ahead and just paid for them thinking that since the black wasn't showing up with edit, it must be a glitch. Iplaced my order and as soon as I got the confirmation email within 30 seconds, I saw the preview in the email showing the black ink. I IMMEDIATELY called Staples to alert them to the problem. Tiffany answered the phone and immediately told me there was NO possible way to fix it without canceling my order. I asked for a manager. She got Jennifer. Jennifer then told me it would cost an additional $52 if I wanted it fixed. I told her I would NOT pay extra for a website error. She said "IF YOU WANT THIS DONE BY TODAY, YOU WILL" Ummm, NO I won't. I was on a time crunch between jobs and needed this done asap, she refused. I hung up on her and immediately called another Staples in another town to get a number for corporate. I was sent to the employee help line for whatever reason. I was then directed to the office of the president and I lodged a complaint with a nice lady there who told me that there is NO fee for editing a marketing order, that is what marketing IS. I called Jennifer right back and she said she will still not do it and that she canceled my order. I told her I reported her to the office of the president and she then said "ok, I will do it for free since I already canceled your order and you are NOT being charged now , but YOU are going to CUT them because I'M NOT" I was done arguing with her. That night, her friends attacked my business page and posted that my company is unreliable and rude and that "we have never used this business but the owner is STUCK UP and flaky, rude, unreliable and unprofessional" .. Several community members jumped all over them for that. Then yesterday, I get an email from OTTP and she asks if I am still picking up my order because it is waiting to be picked up..I replied "Yes, I am sending someone in there, I will NOT step foot in there without witnesses" I send Mr. McKeithen in to get the order and it's NOT CUT... He said "You need to cut these"...She takes the post cards and slices them crooked and completely off centered... I am NOT going to tolerate being harassed or slandered by a Staples employee, who has gained my business information off of my marketing order from Staples. UNACCEPTABLE .. Then, Staples had their HR Business Consultant (LMAO) contact me yesterday and try to intimidate me into changing my story..He even tried to convince me he is a Private Investigator...hahahaha !!! He failed... Staples is a disgusting group ..starting at their little stores all the way to "corporate" read more

Not very satisfied with the service. I went in to ask for printer paper that was thicker than the average because I was printing a program for an event and wanted paper that was a little less see-through than the regular, white printer paper that you normally get. I made sure to ask an employee to help me find the paper and then when I brought it up to the cashier I confirmed with them that this is the paper I was expecting, both of them saying yes. When I went home the paper was still just as thin as regular printer paper AND it was glossy so the ink needed extra time to dry. This meant that if I printed out multiple copies of the program (which I needed to), I couldn't let them stack up on the printer because each new page would smudge the previous page. I normally try not to write reviews on trivial things such as paper, but I couldn't help myself considering this program was for an important event and I felt like I described what I wanted pretty clearly and still got the wrong product read more

Disappointed with the customer service in the print shop and continued broken printers. Have never had an issue at the Marlborough store. I walked in, politely emailed a two-page document and then asked for it to print to which I was told there were multiple jobs ahead and it would be an hour with no other person standing in the print shop. I stated I have previously had multiple occurrences of the printers breaking and not working and would prefer this way to which I was told I would have to wait an hour. Printing two pages proceeded to then cost me 5 dollars to log into a computer to do. Meanwhile, I hear the waitstaff assisting someone to place an order for something else. It saddens me to see companies prioritize efficiency over true in face customer service. I will not be returning. read more

I went here to simply print something from my email. 30 minutes and $10 later I had my document and a headache. I don't understand how a place that specializes in allowing you to do everything needed with their computers and printers could allow themselves to have the slowest internet I've used in years. Their internet browsers are also were outdated and won't support my gmail. Staples- that was NOT easy. read more

A case study for a business in the business of going-out-of-business. My quick stop in today: - couldn't find laminating sheets. - went to print shop to inquire if store stocked them or only in the print area. Very politely directed to aisle 15. - while at print center, guy asks if they can make him a (one!) copy. Directed to self-serve with credit or debit card. He didn't have a card and wanted to pay cash. Told "two hours" for a copy because they follow a queue. He exits. - went to aisle 15 - laminating sheets sold out. - back to print shop to let them know about lack of stock - they ask if there is an "out of stock sign" - there wasn't - asked to buy three laminating sheets from them - told they can't sell individual sheets. - asked if they then had stock (since no sign) - told "no, we just haven't put sign up yet" - okay, then can I just buy three sheets from you? No. But you do laminate things, correct? Yes, $2.75/sheet, but we have 57 jobs in front of you. As I didn't have materials with me, waiting two hours wasn't an option, but I would have happily paid $2.75 each just for the sheets! - went to pay for my paper and asked for manager contact info to drop him a note that they might want to reconsider their policies. Surprise - manager right there who confirmed he was a bit unsure of all copy center policies, but, yes, they can't "sell stuff" - I indicated that they might want to reconsider their policies, as making profit on sales is generally a good thing. - manager told me he could give me email for Staples CEO! Everyone, their manager, staff and me incredibly polite throughout, but REALLY!?! read more

Your chat customer service is extremely painful. I waited for someone to "search" and they came back 45 minutes later saying I had to call a number. I asked for a manager, they said no. I told them to call themselves since they wasted my time, they said there was no phone. Finally after another 10 minutes, "Supriya" came on and then disconnected the chat. So the job I had as tech support, but I ended up quitting. The managers were nice which is why i have a 3/5 but the job sucked beyond belief. It looks like they used to give insurance for part time employees but they changed it to waiting 1 YEAR and that's only if you work 30 hours her week average 1560 hours in one year. I need insurance but since it was only getting like 20 hours per week a plus I left after 2 months of working. It wasn't about to clean the bathroom for no insurance. I thought I would come in a fix computers. but I was stocking, vacuuming, cashiering, and customers asking B.S questions. LOW pay, horrible benefits if any. But the managers were nice at my locations I felt bad leaving. But I was glad to leave. read more

I'm reviewing a Staples. I know, seriously, who cares? Not having a printer at home I've had to run over to FedEx Kinkos by EMS more times than I can count. Bad service, bad machines, and a haul, relatively speaking. One day it finally dawned on me that maybe Staples had a printing center. It was then all my dreams came true. I've never had a problem with a machine and its cheaper. The people that work there are super nice and have even offered to print things out for me a couple times from their computer so I didn't have to pay to use the computers (which is only a buck or two) and I just had to pay for printing. If you bring your own paper (like for a resume) they will do it for you so theres no guessing which machine it prints too and worrying about tray selection in settings (constant complaint I have at fedex and God forbid you have a question). read more

The worst printing department. Last year, I went to Staples with our business card and they were printed with the wrong colors. They gave me the order free. This year I went back ordered more cards with the correct colors and paid for the order. I was told by the female clerk my cards would be ready in 2 days. I called back the following week and asked about our card and was told they haven't been printed and they would be ready this afternoon. Where is the easy button. What an absolute disaster it is trying to get something ordered!!! You would think that any company would be able to handle the most simplest of tasks. NOT THIS ONE!! First off the file cabinet that I originally requested was ordered via an employee at one of their stores only to to be delivered and it is THE WRONG ONE. I called and filed a return on this item and then went on-line to order the CORRECT item only to be told that it cannot be delivered in my area. I called Staples via phone and was told that it is UPS that decides not to deliver the product as it is "too heavy." When I asked if the item can be shipped to a Staple store (2 hrs from where I live) i was told it could be, so I did. I just received two (2) e-mails confirming that my ordered has been cancelled "as requested" and a refund was being issued to me credit card. WTF!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? This is the item I wanted from the very beginning!!!! What does it take to make this happen?!?!?!?!?! Staples is the greatest mistake I have ever dealt with!!! read more

Poor buying experience and customer service experience on a computer purchase from staples.com. I recommend staying away from them.

Go to the Natick store. So unhelpful at framingham route 9 location. Not busy with any customers coming in. Turned us away and wouldn't make 10 color copies for us. Needed them on a little thicker paper for my granddaughter to hand out at school the following day. We said we could wait. Said they were too busy with orders. Pushed us over to the self service area computer and printer. It cost me $12.50 for 10; 8 1/2" x 11" regular copy paper copies. They didn't have time to help my granddaughter and I but helped the next gentleman that came in with self service area. I gave the district manager my feedback and he was rude and condescending and followed me to the exit door. He kept asking me "what's your point" ? Extremely odd. I told him he knew exactly what I was trying to say and that I would call and give his boss my feedback. Terrible customer service and extremely poor management. No wonder the employees in the copy center are so rude. Just spent $85 last week on house plan copies. Will not give them any more of my business. Go to the public library too if you need to use a computer. It's free and you can make both color and black and white copies for a third of what you would pay at Staples. read more

This review is directed at the Staples HQ in Framingham, Mass. Yelp would not let me access their HQ address at 500 Staples Drive. Staples online customer service has always been very bad ever since I started shopping there in 1999. Today I ordered business cards online. A good price but their online software kept changing the font style and bolding on my business cards by itself. After several attempts, I then could not check out using the Google Chrome browser. I switched to the Microsoft Edge browser and tried to check out with an American Express card. I could not check out. I then tried a MasterCard debit card and was able to check out. Checkout alone took me 25 minutes. Three years ago Staples was acquired by Sycamore Partners, a private equity investment firm. Sycamore is changing the brands on many Staples products. For example, Staples brand stationary products will now be called Tru Red, and will cost much more and will create customer confusion. Instead of re-branding products, they should have 24 hour live customer service, and fix the ordering process and other problems with their website. read more

The person at the counter told me that he would print the calendars right away and I could pick them up in half an hour. I told him that I would pick them up in a day or two. I came three days later, the calendars were not ready. The person at the counter told me that he would print them right away and I could pick them up in half an hour (same as above). I told him that I pick it up tomorrow. My wife came over next day. Only one calendar was printed (the order was placed for three calendars). My wife was told to come back in few hours and because of the inconvenience, Staples would issue full refund. When my wife came back, the order was not ready. A Staples is a Staples? Not so. We bought a printer at the Framingham store, had a problem with it but couldn't bring it back for a long time. We brought to Marlborough, figuring we could return it there, and even though the F'ham store said it would be fine, the Marlborough store's manager was all uppity about their return policy and a bit rude to us. (Seriously, like we're all on a mission to rip Staples out of $59, 'cause it's so easy to carry a printer around in your car for a week). I called the F'ham store back, and even though we were a bit outside the usual return policy, they were very understanding of our situation and were great about letting us exchange the piece of junk printer we'd chosen for something that will actually work. It felt like we were at Nordstrom or REI. Really, really refreshing, and probably means I will make the effort to go to the 'Ham over the 'Borough next time I need a Staples. read more
