Walked into Staples with my wife and daughter to print invitations and grab a few things. Saw some iTunes cards and picked up $120 worth. Being visually impaired, I asked where the printers were and got hit with "over there... straight." No real direction, just brushed off. Checked out, even signed up for the rewards program, everything seemed fine. Before even making it home, checked the cards--they didn't work. Went back to the store, and the same woman was there. Whole energy off. Loudly saying, "Yeah, they back to return what they just bought," like announcing it to everybody. Then she starts yelling at her own employee at the register, going off about how the cards weren't for sale, even though another manager had already looked at those same cards earlier and said it was fine. When it was time to get the refund, she told the cashier to go help someone else--basically kicking her off her own register mid-situation. The other employee nearby looked completely shocked and uncomfortable. The attitude during the refund process was nasty, trying to push keeping one of the cards even though it didn't work. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and uncomfortable experience all around. Some people really don't have no customer service sense at all. They won't be getting business again. read more

Horrible service. Snotty, big-boned blonde chick at the print counter decided that the race bibs that I needed to get numbers printed on couldn't be used without even ever really looking at them. When she half-heartedly offered to print something for me using THEIR paper--I tried asking her for the details on what that would look like--but seeing as how she didn't really want to do the job anyway--she wouldn't really provide me with any info and said that I "could do whatever I wanted to" with them. I was tempted to go ahead and get them and indeed do "whatever I wanted to do with them"---which would've been an act that she would not have found at all to be pleasant.... read more

A complete pain in the butt. I ordered 3 items that all showed available for pickup in the store. Once the order processed, it was a different story...one item available for pickup, one item being shipped to store a week later, and one item not available. The manager at this store was not helpful or customer focused. I will never shop here again. read more

Went in to buy a couple red pens. Selection was REALLY limited. Wanted 1-2, had to buy 5. Then wanted to checkout... but the checkout person was chasing down the answer to someone's question. There was a greeter who apparently could literally do nothing else. Waited to check out with my 5 red pens for 3-4 minutes, I asked him to check me out. He suggested I walk to the other end of the store to check out in the copy center. I informed him I was standing in front of a cash register with no one available. He appeared stunned. He apparently could only do 1 job! The cashier finally appeared and checked me out. Had I been the manager the dude would have been fired on the spot. If the ONLY thing he can do is greet and direct I wouldn't need him. This guy may have in fact been a manager of some sort but if he's too good to check people out he'd be WORTHLESS to me as a store manager. read more

Horribly managed store. 50 minutes to print a shipping label, get a box and packing tape. Their computer that charges $0.30 a minute took a minute or more to load each page of the internet. The packing tape is located few aisles over from the aisle labeled "Tape". The boxes are on the far end from the packing material aisle. About 15 yards from the endcap with large size only boxes. There's really no organization to the store. Plus, the cashiers took 10 minutes or so to check out each customer in line. read more

This is my goto office supply store. Not to big, not to small, well organized with friendly staff. If they aren't busy they will assist. Pic is of the happy checkout girl that helped me. The product and service I received recently was excellent from everyone but, wait for it, the GM at the Centennial store named Jolene. I went in needing help with a 200-count postcard order and she was rude, unprofessional, and condescending. As a manager myself, I am SHOCKED this woman has been in "service" for 8 years and runs that store. The place was empty and she couldn't care less with what I needed and seemed extremely inconvenienced. Even the greeting was terrible. I ask "How are you?" and I receive a stale. "I'm well." I was with a friend who was also shocked by her behavior. I was about to snap and walk out, but I needed the project finished asap - I don't have time to deal with an incompetent woman who should go back to the front lines. Usually, it's the GM who provides THE BEST service and is engaging with customers. Anyways, it might be worth evaluating this employee as she has no business in her position. Every other employee was so nice and extremely helpful. Some I imagine are high school/college kids and held much higher professionalism than Jolene. In all honesty I feel terrible they have to work for her. I don't now his name, but I would like to commend the assistant manager of this store location.(Blonde, glasses) He was patient, kind, and extremely helpful when I purchased a previous order. I expected that same stellar service when I ordered yesterday but unfortunately the GM is not equipped to be working with the public in a consumer-facing role. read more

I came into the store and accidentally turned in my drum from my printer thinking it was just the used toner. The man who helped me didnt recognize this and put it in the bin for recycling. The manager Samantha Clarke found it and SAVED it for me not even knowing me. She recognized the error and literally saved me 100 dollars!. I was at the ER with my daughter and called and she told me it was safe. I cannot tell you how grateful I am she was there. The other employee, Sheila Weekly was very helpful and very professional when I came back to pick up the drum and the correct toner. Whoever hires these employees needs to give both women a pay raise and recogintion for going above and beyond the call of duty. THANKYOU for making my life just a little bit less miserable. read more

I had to go to Staples to print some important paperwork during the stay at home order, that needed to be mailed by that day. Tommy (I think that was his name, over in the self printing area) was so kind and patient while I was trying to figure out the printers, haha! He really lent a hand and helped me out, especially with needing so many papers printed and getting all of my work sorted. His kindness really made my day better. There was only one girl working in the copy and shipping center, who was lovely, but very busy and kept calling for someone to come assist me with my order and the general manager locked eyes with me all 4 times she asked for assistance and quickly pretended to be busy. What an absolutely awful way to treat the customers especially when I shipped with you spending over $90 in the end. Get rid of the general manager and give the copy center girl (Meaghan) her job, I bet she would do it better. And she's actually a nice person. The little bit of gibberish I heard come out of the GM'S mouth was alarming and made me question why she was even hired to begin with. . . "Like so you made this order in store." read more

Disappointing service. Called ahead around 1145am and spoke with Marc in the print/copy center to ask if he could help me get a small project completed by around 4pm - he said they were busy but that he could make it work. I walked in at noon - introduced myself to Marc to "check in" so to speak. Then I completed most of what I needed in the self service area first at his request. When I went back for his help with printing and binding my ppt presentation (10 sets of 15 pages... not a big job), his colleague printed a test version for me in about 22 seconds and then told me that he couldn't possibly push print on the other 9 copies for several hours and that I could come back at 730pm to pick up. I explained that it was a small job and that Marc had indicated my 4pm deadline would work when I asked earlier. I even offered to NOT have them bind them for me because I knew that without binding this task would literally take him less than 2 minutes. He just stood there with an expressionless look on his personality void face and told me that it was 730pm or I could pay $50 to rush to have done within the hour. I paid the $50, which is the last money Staples will ever see from me. I didn't catch the gentleman's name but he was thin with shoulder length brown hair. Lots of competition in his industry - don't bother being taken advantage of by these guys! read more

I went to Staples on Thanksgiving for a deal on a Kindle. The paper advertised them as $79 - a savings of $80. I waited for an hour for them to open and since there were only 15 other people in line felt pretty certain I would get the deal. When the doors opened, the clerk said they only had 2 of the $79 Kindles and did I want to buy a different Kindle for $139. In my books that is what is called the "bait and switch" and it's an underhanded approach to any sale. I called and spoke to a general manager who offered me the same deal as I was offered the night before, after spewing excuse after excuse for their deceptive advertising. I will not be shopping there again and I would suggest anyone expecting a sale price going there should be prepared to be disappointed. If I could give them negative stars, I would. read more
