There's a reason this place has a two star rating. Though I have never been impressed by the service or the options they carry. I've never been as disappointed as I am today - especially with my encounter with Lance. As a local businessman who has spent thousands of dollars with this location I always try to keep as much business local to the community as possible, but that comes a point where you have to take your business and your money out of town and when some businesses just need to go out of business. Today I arrived at the Staples to do a simple print order, and my intention was to use their self service printers. Staples has not updated their printers with USB-C and that was the portable drive that I had my files on. Lance informed me, No, they don't have a way of adapting a USB-C to USB-A. And NO, even if I bought a USB a portable drive, they would not transfer the files from my Drive to the compatible drive so that I could use their printers. So instead, I bought an old style USB, then drove all the way back to my office to transfer the files the new Drive I just bought from them. I arrived back and went to the self service printers with a resume paper that I wanted to load into the printer for my print job. Lance said NO, again! You are not allowed to load "your own paper into the printer". I informed them it was their paper I was buying so I can do my own printing. No, you are not allowed to do that. I asked if they could do that. No, we are not allowed to do that. They said you have to use our printer services. I mentioned that when I inquired about that, they said that I couldn't have the print job until tomorrow. Lance then informed me that the real problem was that I waited last minute to get my job done and that's not their problem. I informed him that this is exactly why businesses like Staples go out of business! Absolutely zero attempt to solve a client's problem or show any reasonable effort. And so now I have to drive 25 minutes to Fedex Kinkos. read more

Saturday morning and I just experienced one of the rudest employees I have ever met. There's no wonder why Staples struggles in the Internet age. I went there to look into getting custom notebooks/journals. 1- I stood there as the worker (Ricardo) and I kept getting interrupted by a coworker (Michael) showing him music videos from his phone, both chatting and laughing about it. He finally left and I thought we could finally focus on what I was here for. 2- We were then once again, interrupted by same worker (Michael) who kept talking to the person assisting me (Ricardo), telling jokes through the earpiece they are supposed to use to communicate about work related matters. Ofc due to that, Ricardo was highly distracted, chuckling and laughing. 3- while assisting me a customer walked closer, and out of nowhere, Ricardo just stopped talking to me, faced the customer and started asking if he was ready to check out. The person said he was there to pick up an order. Ricardo then just entirely moved away from me and started helping the customer. I was so shocked, i stood there for a minute wondering whether or not it was a joke or a dream. After a few minutes, i just walked out of the store. I went to Staples looking for a new calendar. Everything in the whole store was in disarray. I did not find the calendar for my agenda. I've had Covid 19 two months earlier and still have asthma. I was with my wife. We didn't have masks on. The clerk under direction of his manager brought over masks for us to wear. My wife complied. I said no thanks. We were checking out at the register. The clerk said I would have to leave. I said as soon as you bag us up I'm out of here. I'm not going to wait outside in the cold rain. You also never have to worry about me shopping here again. I'm not a real fan of the office superstore business model. In general, you can find better pricing on individual items elsewhere. But Staples does have a good reward program. If you are good about trading in your empty inkjet cartridges (3 per visit) you can build up some nice rewards $ here. You can get credit for 3 inkjet trade-ins on each visit (subject to a quarterly maximum) and build up some nice rewards dollars. Other than inkjet cartridges, I don't think their pricing is very competitive. read more

I needed some shirts printed up for my business. I had a graphic designer create the logo and I brought it to Staples to have it printed on the t-shirts. Callie, in the printing department, went above and beyond to make some necessary color changes. I am not one to write reviews regarding businesses but Callie changed that. I've walked out every time due to the staff. Completely inattentive, not helpful at all. They barely even acknowledge you're standing there at the counter. Wow this place is very expensive!!! I moved here from California where things are very expensive so when I say I was blown away on how expensive things are here, I'm not kidding! I had to print 5 pages from a computer I had logged on to access my email and I stayed on maybe 5 minutes though I should have stayed less if the computer was working at a normal speed ( it was like purposely slow).
