Both went above and beyond in helping me and making sure I got everything I needed done. David, not only helped me - without rolling his eyes at how incapable I was, LOL - but added suggestions to make my project better, and shared about a good sale that was happening in case I was interested - and I was. It felt like he enjoyed his job and cared about customer service. Thank you David. The online ordering had NOT made it clear that the assembly I paid for was done at my home and I needed to make an "appointment" for that to be done. Would have been 5 star, but ran into a HUGE issue! I needed a job done ASAP - 5 tri-folded, full color brochures. I did the entire process online using the Staples website. The process of uploading my brochure design, viewing the proofs - it was relatively easy. The hardest part was re-designing my old brochures to meet Staples' specs. As advertised, orders placed before 2 were ready the same day. The brochures looked great - once I finally got them! The issue is with the website. There was a new option to have a courier deliver the job, and I could even choose the time frame, for 'only' $14.99. I thought that was a bargain! What the website doesn't mention is that the courier is not part of Staples' service. The courier is a third party. Staples has no control over who the courier is, when they pick up the order, or even their contact info. My brochures were supposed to be delivered by 4 pm on Tuesday (9/26) - nope! I didn't know that the courier was a third party until I called the store on Wednesday asking about my order. THEY asked ME what courier I used? When I explained that I didn't know - I thought it was their courier - well, it caused a lot of confusion. After going back and forth, I was advised that if I really need my brochures right away, my best option would be to come in and pick up the package myself as they couldn't tell me who was coming, when they were coming, or even IF they were coming. I was out of time and needed the brochures THAT SECOND and went in to Staples - only to find that I JUST missed the courier who had finally picked up the order. By the time I got home, it had been delivered to my door. I still don't know what courier was used! Anyway, do the old-fashioned. If you need your print job the same day, go pick it up yourself. Otherwise, just have it shipped. I'm too flustered to remember the names of the two gentlemen who helped me on 9/27. But they were pleasant and understanding of my frustration. My brochures looked good and, even as I'm sitting here typing out this review, waiting on a shipping company to deliver these brochures cross country. Would I use Staples printing services again? It's an office supply store. Expectations are for paper, pens, markers, pencils, printer cartridges, perhaps some office furniture. I was in recently out of desperation after a horrible experience with Best Buy looking for a cable with BNC connectors. The Best Buy staff had no idea what I was looking for. The Staples employee know exactly. Best Buy said we don't carry that and were nonplussed when I showed it on their website. Staples said we don't stock that; they called every Staples in driving distance to see where it might be and offered to have it shipped in at their expense. Best Buy manager said "you can't expect us to know what is in inventory." Who would have thought an office supply store could be so helpful on a niche product? Kudos. read more

Generally fair for office supplies, but they just charged me $42 to fax 20 pages and then I had to stand there and wait almost 20 minutes to get the confirmation. I'll never use their office services again. read more

This review is for Warren. My experience at this Staples was nothing less but incredible because of Warren's comprehensive technical expertise and his genuine desire to help his customers. I had submitted a printing request 1.5 hours before closing time and the online portal gave me a pick-up time of 9am the next morning. My project was a wedding gift that I needed to prepare that same night. I called Staples, worrying that I would not be able to pick it up that same night and Warren had calmed me down, located the order number and ensured me he would make it a priority. Without wasting any time, I got in my car and headed for Staples. I got here 30 minutes later, greeted with Warren's big smile as he continued working on my order. I know nothing about paper, printing types or production. From the first page Warren printed, he could tell that I was not happy with how the colors turned out on the page as they were much darker then the colors I saw on my computer screen. Without hesitation, he returned to his computer and within a couple of minutes, returned with another sheet that was just perfect. It turns out, there are different types of printing options, and you have to select poster printing in order to achieve the perfect color balance. It was perfect. Warren saved my project and the happy couple loved the gift! I cannot thank him enough for his professionalism, profound understanding of his equipment and superb customer service. I bought a laptop a few weeks ago and I was approached by two different supervisors/managers about the extended warranty plan I felt like I was in a a used car dealership it's ridiculous I'll be taking my business to The office Depot and other retailers. I came in the other day as well to buy a stapler and was asked if I wanted to buy three different things in addition to my stapler high pressure sales tactics are getting ridiculous at this Staples stay away if I could give zero Stars I would read more

For the most part my experiences here have been fine. Minus one time when an employee didn't agree with me regarding a joke I made trying to be funny. A harmless joke I might add. But otherwise it's a good place to go for office supplies and printed material. read more

Good product. Service, not so much I have had two similar experiences with the printing center here ordering two similar products two years apart. Most recently, I had a difficult time getting straight answers out of the clerk regarding what I needed. She had a hard time understanding what I was asking. Rather confused, uncommunicative and not clear on price. I was first told $43. When I said I would take it someplace else, she finally actually looked it up and gave me a price of $29. When I picked up the job, it was $23. Another clerk, when I picked up the job, seemed very distracted while trying to serve two customers at the same time, minimal eye contact, seemed bored by/above it all. I nearly opted to come back when I would be the only customer there but she finally got it right. In the end I got the product I wanted. It was done well and at a fair price. However, the process was not pleasant or confidence inspiring. read more

Somebody else came in with a part # for ink, and instead of looking it up the Sales Rep said "I don't know, we probably don't carry it..." and the customer walked out. read more

Needed to pick up some markers on the way to pick up the kids. Found the markers, no problem. Checkout a different story. One cashier and one customer ahead of me. She seemed to have some special coupons or something. 10 minutes later and I am still waiting. Several other employees were nearby, but apparently none of them could open a register. I finally put the markers on a counter and just left. Customer service needs some work, or maybe just a self check out option. read more

The lady at the copy and print desk had the absolute worst customer service. She was extremely slow, rolled her eyes, was no proactive when I was asking her questions about what was the most cost effective way to print the several items I needed to print. I had to get business cards printed for work and went to Staples for their 4 hour promise and since they were having a sale (500 for $20). I called a few times with questions and had to wait between 10-20 minutes on the phone to speak with someone and the information the gave me was later determined to be inaccurate. Once at Staples, the printing center was not able to complete my order in the designated time and it got pushed to the next day after I had to leave for the work event the business cards were needed for. I would have preferred to give it no stars. Doug, the manager is throw back to the the 60's style of customer service(none). Went in first time because of advertising come on for recycling ink cartridges.(I am green and like to recycle) Got 3 different answers as to when my credit would come in from 3 associates. Second 20 min. each way trip was met with , did you get an email or check your spam folder??? It had been 31 days and should have come up on my email check in in this day and age. No one said, you need to check your account before coming back. I said let's check here on my iphone. 3 attempts before He could get a customer Service number that was in service. No one could find my email or my account despite it all popping up with my phone number. 45 minutes of not helpful help and no credit. I had to come home and do it all on table top. I was so frustrated and wasted so much time twice and their attitude was " so what?" Dori was polite but couldn't help me and she was best they had. If Staples' managers are all like Doug-go to Office Depot or anywhere else. I am talking POOR service here. I was not asking for anything free or more than the sign said. read more
