No need to look any further than Stanton's. Highly, highly recommended! We recently used Stanton's for a home inspection, and we couldn't be happier with the service. We knew the house had a lot of issues, and we needed someone to thoroughly document them for us. Booking the appointment through the website was incredibly easy, and the clear pricing model was a huge plus. Stanton arrived on time and was thoughtful, personable, and relatable. Beyond being professional, he was kind and efficient, whether we were following his every move or exploring and talking on our own. It felt like he had seen it all and was genuinely happy to help us during this crazy and stressful time in our lives. Definitely the kind of person you want around and have as a connection or contact in your life. The report was equally impressive. It arrived same day and is a gem of a resource. It is helping us work through the past/present/and future of each issue with clarity, details and support. (Also, kudos to his photography skills.) I love that now I can confidently say to anyone who needs it: "Hey, I know a guy..." :D read more

I had a very concerning experience with this company. Just one week after our inspection, my tenants noticed a severe odor coming from the bathroom area. I had to hire a plumber and insulation specialists, who immediately spotted significant rodent droppings in the attic. The issue was so obvious that the contractors were shocked it was completely missed in the inspection report. Had a rodent not died and created an immediate smell, this undetected activity could have led to severe structural, electrical, and insulation damage. Communication following the oversight was equally frustrating. Promised callbacks never happened, and I had to follow up repeatedly over several weeks just to get a response. While they acknowledged the oversight and offered a partial refund, the lack of thoroughness in their core service--and the poor follow-up process--makes it impossible for me to recommend them. read more

Stanton's does a great job. We've worked with them on both our home search and home sale side and they have been thorough, dependable, and quick. Mike Cox did our inspections and is wonderful to work with: detailed and helpful. He makes sure you understand what he finds and is super helpful. And he's fun to work with! read more

We had a great experience with Stanton. He was very thorough and was apparent he knew what he was doing. Would highly recommend.

We're in the middle of that special hell known as home buying. We needed the inspection done immediately because we're trying to sell a house and buy a house at the same time and we wanted everything to go quickly. My realtor gave me Stanton's name on a Thursday to set up a weekend appointment. Despite the fact that the home we're looking at is all the way on Vashon island Stanton agreed to come on a Sunday. He was there before we got there. He was efficient, relatively fast and very friendly. He gave us both very clear verbal and written details and suggestions. He had our report to us the next day, several days earlier than requested. I would absolutely use him again! read more

Honest, thorough, knowledgeable, and professional are four words that come to mind. Stanton accepted my last minute request for a partial inspection (as my previous inspector did not do their job right). He inspected the home at a very short notice. He was very patient and understood my concerns. He did a very good job of addressing the issues and answered all my questions. He took time to explain everything and gave a very clear idea of what was going on. His insights were very helpful in making my decision on whether to put an offer or not. I would highly recommend him for any home inspection. read more

Stanton worked diligently and professionally to complete a home inspection for our 1 year warranty on a new build. Listened to our findings and guided us with what could be covered under warranty. He helped explain how to solve several issues that were outside of warranty which we appreciated, since he did not have to do that. We appreciated his honesty and quick turn around in preparing the final report. read more

They missed over $20,000 in things that have to be repaired right away - the biggest one being a galvanized water line with the meter 200ft up the street, that is so bad we can't even run a hose (only checked the static pressure, which is fine). Next was a gas water heater that was illegally installed (wrong type of water heater for the way it's vented), so that has to be replaced before the city will turn on our gas back on again. Finally, they missed the live knob and tube that was fully exposed. read more

I am very happy with our inspection (Stanton's has done our house to buy and now the same house to sell). They were early, professional, thorough and were very safety focused. I will use them for all our inspections in the future. read more

Stanton is awesome to work with. He did an inspection for me and I asked him to come back to speak on my behalf and he didn't hesitate. I really appreciated what he did for me. I trust his expertise completely. read more

Im sure they do a great job on standard scheduled home inspections but in the crazy Seattle market where last minute pre-contract inspections are the norm, my experience was just so-so. I've had home inspections in the past so I know average/complacent to good service. I'd love to give them a higher rating but their communication with me, their paying customer, was lackluster (confirmations were automated, direct email to inspector unanswered, problems encountered on morning of inspection were not reported, no follow up or satisfaction survey after payment). I pointed out a typo for a material defect and was promised a correction, which never came, and had to ask about obvious items that should have been in the report but weren't (and they weren't excluded items). Part of the reason that I chose my agent's recommendation was because of how highly they were referred and I explicitly asked to be present so I could learn. The inspection was cut short to accommodate another agent's inspector and I was not notified. I took time off work and drove across the city only to find someone else at the house during my time block - This may have been more of a failure on the part of my agent if it was communicated to her and she failed to inform me but That was not relayed to me. I do appreciate that they are experienced, qualified and credentialed by NACHI - the report turn around time was about 3 hours and he used a drone for the roof. For the high-end price I paid for the service I received, I would likely think twice about using them again, even if it was just a fluke. read more

Requested pre-sale inspection and got immediate scheduling. He showed up on-time and was very professional and courteous during the inspection and we got the report later that same day. The report was easy to read and follow with pictures showing what needed attention. read more

My Husband and I met Stanton last month when we were inspecting a lemon of a house. He was extremely professional and believe it or not can even make a home inspection fun. After review, we passed on the first house we looked at and hired him again this month to inspect another house that we fell in love with. Stanton is comfortable with you following him around and answers each and every question with great detail in understandable terms. We would recommend Stanton for any homebuyer but especially a first time homebuyer since he really takes the time to get to know what your concerns are and makes sure the house is safe & secure for you & your family's needs. Good luck & happy home inspecting! :) read more

We were referred to Stanton by our agent and had an excellent inspection. He fit us into his schedule when we needed an inspection done ASAP for a quick closing. Stanton was very thorough and efficient in explaining the various issues he found in very understandable terms to us newbie homebuyers. The report he produced was emailed promptly the same day. Any issues he found were accompanied with pictures and explanations about what repairs or replacements need to be done. Highly recommended. read more

Stanton was referred to me by my fabulous agent, as a first time home buyer and a single mom I was nervous about ending up in a place that may fall down around me. Besides making time to inspect the home within a few days, and being willing to drive to Camano Island, Stanton was great and explained everything good and bad in detail. He noted both things he suggest I hire someone to do and explained how to do everything he thought I could do with a little research and elbow grease. Here is the BIG above and beyond he did for me, last night I developed a water leak (***nothing he missed things happen). I neglected to immediately find the water shut off upon moving into the house, so when a geyser appeared and I was frantically searching everywhere, including crawling under the house while on the phone with my agent making jokes about the dead rats Stanton had found, and how whoever did that clean up did great job. However nothing there, but water. She and I decided to make some calls mine being to Stanton to see if he recalled where it was. So at 9pm he picks up I ramble of a bunch of stuff, he calmly asked me to refresh his memory on the exact property. After just a few details he recalled the home, he booted up his computer to pull up the report to see his notes on where it was located. In the mean time he walked me through all possible locations as I am scrambling around he directs me to the main water line from the community well. He kept it simple 1) find powerlines into the ground out front 2) find electrical box 3) search surrounding area for water box. Great I found it now what? No problem Stanton is on the phone! before his computer was up and going, from 3 counties away, one iphone flashlight, and a tool that was not the most appropriate for the job he helped me find my water line, and walked me through how to shut it off. He then had me text him pictures of the pipe so he could tell me what needed to be done and what a fair price range should be to have someone repair it. read more

Stanton performed an extensive inspection of the house and identified several items that require repair action. He detailed the discrepancies in a professionally prepared report. Over the years this is the third home inspector that I have hired and hands down Stanton performed the most detailed and thorough inspection. I would highly recommend Stanton's Home Inspection Services to anyone wanting the best in class to perform their home inspection! read more

My Realtor recommended Stanton, who has experience in every phase of building a house. I come from out of state, a single woman, and in the process of purchasing this house in Maple Valley. The day of the house inspection, he was friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient to not only answer my questions as I followed him around, but offered to explain various damage and safety issues and their priorities of importance. Stanton welcomed any future questions and offered service referrals. I believe I could trust him and would recommend him. read more

Stanton has been doing home inspections for me for years and is great. He is thorough and steady, which keeps the home buyer calm yet educated and as a real estate professional I value this approach instead of the reactive negative inspectors that make people panic over everything . Always happy to get him for my inspections. read more
