UPDATE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: Calling this interaction something that merely "came across as pushy" is incredibly dismissive of what actually happened. She was beyond pushy. I was being verbally told about more than $3,000 worth of dental work. I was never provided a written treatment plan. I repeatedly explained that I am a low-income single mother and simply could not afford thousands of dollars in treatment. Instead of respecting my answer, she continued pushing financing and credit and even asking whether I had a husband or partner who could help me pay. Then, after making me feel completely humiliated about what I could and could not afford, she had the audacity to point out that I still had my cleaning because "it's free," emphasizing the one thing I could afford, as though I needed to be reminded of my financial situation. I was visibly upset and other employees could clearly see what was happening. Instead of anyone stepping in, they stayed back and watched the interaction unfold. I cannot speak to what they were thinking but the fact that nobody intervened while a patient was obviously distressed made the entire environment even more uncomfortable. And here is the most concerning part: I got a second opinion. What your office verbally presented to me as more than $3,000 in dental work including removing a root and filling a cavity turned out to be a broken filling. So please do not reduce my experience to your employee simply "coming across as pushy." I was pressured about money after repeatedly saying no, questioned about finding a partner to help pay, embarrassed about receiving a "free" cleaning, and verbally presented with thousands of dollars in dental treatment that another dentist subsequently told me I did not need as it had been represented. Patients deserve to feel safe at a dental office not pressured, humiliated, or frightened into finding a way to pay for thousands of dollars of treatment. read more

If I could, I would give them negative star, so pissed of the way they treated me in the clinic, i went there just to have my teeth clean, then they did deep cleaning which isnt necessary, they scheduled me for cavity and filling, and since then my tooth started to hurt, i asked them to pull the tooth off for me to get rid of the tooth ache, its been painful for a week, i called them twice, they said they will do the extraction Monday Sept 21, then when I got there, they told me that they couldnt do extraction and just reffer me to someone else who can do the extraction, i wasted my time and gas, i didnt go to work just to take care of my tooth problem but STANTON DENTAL in Katella specifically declined to take care of me, i didnt have a problem with my teeth before, but since they did cavity and filling it started to give me pain and they refused to help me fixed it, worst, they said they will reffer me but i didnt get nothing from them. I really really wanted this to be the dentist that I primarily go to, but my dentist trauma continues. After my initial visit, I had a cleaning scheduled for August 2024, but they made me wait an hour past my appointment time... only for them to tell me it will be a longer wait. What a waste of my time! I end up rescheduling to November 2024. I was able to get my regular cleaning done November 2024, but it was recommended that I get a deep cleaning done ASAP. I freaked out and scheduled a deep cleaning for January 2025. January 2025, I came in for my deep cleaning and they tell me they have to do all my x-rays. I end up having a panic attack because Michele, who was doing my x-ray, hit the back of my throat when she put the x-ray inside my mouth and I began to choke and cough. She would leave for 10-15 minutes at a time and left me with the weighted x-ray chest on me which made me feel like I was suffocating. I expressed my extreme teeth sensitivity, but that was disregarded during the cleaning. It turns out they did a regular cleaning, but still tried to charge me a ridiculous amount for deep cleaning. I was shocked... why try and charge me for a service I didn't receive? Michele did the polishing after and it got all over my eyes and forehead. The floss also broke apart and kept getting stuck in my teeth. It was an overall terrible experience. I kept wanting to give this place a chance, but my hopes were too high. I've been to a handful of dentists in my years, so I feel comfortable in saying this clinic stands tall among the rest. The level of care you receive here is stellar. Jessica in the front office is so thorough and very welcoming. She takes time to know the patients and makes the initial interaction meaningful. Olivia in the back made the X-rays go smoothly and she was really kind! We had a great conversation while she got me ready to see the doctor. Dr. Day is one of those doctors that you never want retire. He is quite the professional in terms of his standard and quality of care, but he is also very calming and has quite the sense of humor. He even mentioned to me that he'll tease patients, but never about their teeth. Dr. Day and Olivia made a great team and my cleaning was top notch. Walked away smiling from ear to ear, blinding unsuspecting citizens with my pearly whites. All in all, this clinic is worth establishing care at. This practice came to me as a recommendation and it turned out to be great advice. Though a small practice (my preference) they are BIG on customer service. As a new patient the paperwork was minimal and easy to complete. The staff are friendly, caring and very easy to talk to.
