King Dental - Love my teeth my experience at this place coming back for root canal - Pediatric Dentists Near Me - Anaheim, California

Not a place I would ever go to again. I have long been away from this dentist office but this review is important to make because of the way the dentist behaved. My insurance coverage covered white fillings and he continually pushed for metal/silver fillings for my child. I did not initially know that they only offer metal fillings, which is what he said. I did not want the metal ones so after the exam I said I would go somewhere else where my coverage was to my liking. He was very pushy and did not want to let me leave without explaining what he wanted to do--my small child and I were literally in the corner. I'm not sure why I stayed and let him speak to me this way, but I did. He was loud and yelled far more than I should have allowed and now that I've made some peace with the situation I know how bad it was. He said I should save my money and pay for books for my young child instead of paying out of pocket for white fillings. I said I did not want to and it was fine because surely another dentist would do it and it will NOT be out of pocket. I'm not sure where he assumed that white fillings are a rarity but the following month I went to another dentist and my children never had to get silver fillings. I can't be sure what he was so angry about or why our choices bother him, and it didn't make sense. I think there were probably some untruths about what type of fillings they offer or something to do with his business side +insurance payouts. One can only speculate because this truly was a bizarre situation. I could not trust Dr. L and would never advise anyone to go to him, not with that kind of behavior. read more

I have had two giant cavities for about six months, and the left lower side of my mouth has become infected for the past week. The pain was blinding. Not having dental health coverage, I decided to ask my dentist, Dr. Lai of King Dental in Anaheim to write me a prescription until my dental coverage kicks in. Dr. Lai is hands down the best dentist I have had the good fortune of knowing. His receptionist completed all the COVID-related questions and had me sitting in the chair within 10 minutes of arriving at the dental office. Dr. Lai arrived a minute later, listened to my story, and began examining my mouth immediately, agreed that I needed a prescription, and made out one for antibiotics and pain killers. I was on my way in less than 15 minutes and was able to get my prescription filled within another 30 minutes. What I would like everyone to know about Dr. Lai is that firstly, he is an absolute gentleman. His professional manner is very caring and empathetic. As a patient, I have always felt completely confident in his abilities. Dr. Lai. Thank you for your selfless display of humanity on Sunday. You did not make a penny of my visit. The front lady gave me another child's chart and told me it was my child. I explained I know my child and I know what I names my child (the last name was wrong) & she said "no it's him, it's him". The doctor looked at the chart and looked at my sons teeth (they were completely different and realized it was the wrong chart. Then she made an apt for my husband and said he would have a root canal , he missed work only to tell me she made a mistake and he missed a full day of work in covid to not have work done. Love King Dental! friendly staff and the Doctor is the nicest. Most of the family has been seen at King Dental that is how pleased we all are with the service we received. My youngest daughter is 9 and has been coming here since about 5 years of age and she has never once fussed, felt uncomfortable or been unhappy. I really appreciate the ease of making appointments compared to some places no hassle with King Dental whatsoever. Never had an issue with insurance like with other places i have been to in the past that did not want to take the time to check benefits or be upfront about out of pocket costs if any due to services that might not be covered 100% by our insurance. Great service! Everyone was very welcoming and the prices are AFFORDABLE The Doctor was super friendly and cared about my teeth. I had a root canal that got infected because my previous dentist didn't take care of my teeth appropriately. I felt no pain at all!! Surprisingly. He made sure every once in a while to make sure I was ok. I had an emergency appointment because i was in so much pain and he saw me and stayed after hours. I greatly appreciated that. Defiantly moving to this Dental office as my main dentist. Coming back to get my teeth bleached and cleaned. Highly recommend!!!! read more

It's no big surprise that so many people are not inclined to go to the dentist. Dentist's aren't such bad people. They're the ones doing the good work to keep you smiling. I went to this dental office, and it was easy. I just listen to the doctor and followed the instructions. Besides, if you come to the office as a new patient, or as an existing patient, one of the first things you should know is that this office is in tune to what you like and dislike about going to dentists. Great doctor. Very knowledgeable and is kind with kids. He has the right prices and accept most insurances. His main assistant Maggie is the greatest with adults and children. Ask for Maggie or Brittany they provide the best service in the dental office. The ladies in the front will accept walk ins even if they're already busy. So if it's an emergency go to them. They are open all week except on Wednesdays and Sunday. They open at 9am. Great professionals! read more

I am so Glad I found a great Dentist. I had a quick emergency to handle and there were plenty of staff first thing in the morning to accomodate me. Was able to get right in and was acknowledge and seen quickly. Very clean office and staff was friendly and knowledgable. Dr. Lai and the staff took X-Rays and assessed my situation correctly. He was able to take care of the Crown without issue. He is very knowledgeable and felt secure the entire time. Oh and he is a UCLA graduate! read more

I visited this place with appointment and turns out they wouldn't take me because I have medical and for some reason medical was down . I called medical to confirm this and was told that the receptionist had a second option to call and verify eligibility, but she choose not to they discriminated against me because I only provided medical as an insurance and not a private insurance with all this racism and discrimination going on right now I would think they would have more or better service for those of us who can't afford a private insurance or are of low income families never coming back read more

Woo Hoo I would say I'm really lucky to know Dr. Lai and being his patient for more than 5 years. He's so gentle and nice. Been cleaning, filling, wisdom tooth removed, blah blah blah, all done by him. I was surprised how gentle it was when he removed my stubborn wisdom tooth, it was no pain ( of course he numbed me ^^) because all I felt was push and push and my tooth was on the tray after 5-10 mins. He was reasonable on the charges and would recommend what should be done so you don't waste your money. I also brought my mom and my sister here, and of course friends and co-workers and they all love the skills and service he provided. His staff was really nice just like him. The facility is really cool, totally spacy, new, and clean. You can choose a movie to watch while getting your service because each room has it own TV for the patient. Try him out and I believe you will be happy with his skillful experiences =) read more

Dr. Lai is one of the most professional and caring doctor I have ever been to. In the past I had countless bad experiences with other doctors who I felt they only cared about money and were very cold. Not so with Dr. Lai, he is warm ,friendly and always gentle. I have just moved to Eastvale but, I am so happy with Dr. Lai that I am willing to take a 45 to 60 min.drive back to Anaheim to get treatment from him.
