Orlando came out to my property and cleaned three rooms. He was very professional, explained his process and even pointed out a few details that I wasn't aware of. He also offered a package deal for future cleanings. The carpets came out great and he also informed me that he can steam our tile floor. I will be calling him back out in a few months to prep for the holidays. I feel that the price I paid for the quality of work that was done, was fair and honest. I would certainly recommend Orlando and Stanley Steemer of Macomb. The only thing that may be of concern to some was the timeframe. We had a six hour window (12p-6p) as an arrival window. That seemed a bit excessive, but I was notified 30 minutes prior to his arrival that he was on the way. Overall very satisfied. read more

I really thought this was a professional and organized company. If I had looked here first I never would have made an appointment. I took a half-day off to be present for a 12 PM to 6 PM window to have my kitchen tile cleaned. A little after 5 PM I received a text stating they would be coming between 630 and 730pm. Nope. Then I was told it will be by 8pm. No thanks. You won't have the opportunity to give me a third broken promise. What a huge disappointment. Consider yourself fired. On 5-29-24 a representative came out to inspect and quote cleaning my ductwork for my condo in Shelby Township . He came out as expected I think his name was Jacob . I was good with the quoted price and he said he could schedule an appointment for cleaning. I was scheduled to have this work done today 6-11-24 between 8am and 12pm . This time came and went with no show no call ! I called the office and talked to someone explaining that no one had called in advance saying they were on the way , like they said they would . At this point the person said I don't have you on the schedule for today or any day. I said how can this be the guy scheduled it 2 weeks ago when he was out and quoted the job . I told him to cancel the job and his only response was there is nothing to cancel you're not on the schedule. This person clearly knew and was aware someone was at my house to inspect and quote the job . He had my address and phone number. At this point you would think someone would apologize and try to schedule for some other time , although I'm not interested at this point . Very poor customer service . I bet this was not the owner or manager that I was talking to . Lost a sale plus word of mouth about this crappy way to run a business. Made an appointment with the Macomb store and was told 12- 6:00 PM. Ok no problem. Just received a text Minutes before 6:00 informing me it would be closer to 8:00 PM. First of all.....How do you do a decent job cleaning carpet in the dark? Second of all.... I Took the day off work to be here. My couch was cleaned, but I'm out an Apple Watch. Had my couch cleaned on a Friday, and by early next week realized my Apple Watch was missing and was likely stolen by the technician who did the clean. Super frustrating lack of response from Stanley of Macomb. I asked for a refund given the situation and was denied because "they can't prove it" but my watch didn't get up and walk away, and no one else was in my home for it to turn up missing. The office manager who called me could not have cared less about out this, and the poor look this is for the company. If you want to take the chance to use a company where your things could come up missing, AND you get to be out money for a subpar clean at best, then Stanley is the place to be. NEGATIVE 5 STARS for me. My 90 years mother moved to Southfield, MI, Sept 2022, called Stanley Steamer to clean her carpet. The tech cleaned her carpet and the money out of her purse. AFTER reporting this to the local office the Supervisor lack of compassion was worse than the robbery. If you use the service just watch them. I am selling my home and scheduled a carpet cleaning appointment over two weeks ago. I asked for the earliest time available because I am leaving town immediately after the service. Instead I was give a window from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Arrived at a completely empty house around 11:00, thinking at the maximum I would have a two hour wait. Received a text stating that the cleaners would not arrive in the timeframe provided. I called the 1-800 number because I couldn't locate the number for the local company. They put me on hold and then hung up on me. I called back and after a long wait, they said that the team should arrive between 1:30 and 2:30. I am 93 years old and trusted Stanley Steamer to clean carpet in my one bedroom apartment. I had used their services befor3e without any problems. True some large furniture they don't move, but they should have cleaned under them, but didn't. There is a large light blotch in the center of the carpet that wasn't there before. The explanation was "i might have spilt some bleach there" Nobody use bleach in the living room. Thought it might lessen when dry, it didn't. It easy to take advantage of elderly people. AT my age cant stand stressors so paid $99 although only had 2 rooms. I will call and tell them but would never recommend them read more

We have been using Stanley Steamer for over 21 years. In the past they have done a great job. Today it was far from that. We had it set up that they cleaned our duck and then after that they would clean the carpet. They got here to clean the ducks there drill that cuts the hole in the duck work messed up and cut the hole wrong. Then they had medal shavings on the floor, we said something to them about that as they stepped in the shavings then tracked them up stairs. He said we will clean it up when we are done. It was too late the shavings had been tracked upstairs already. Then when her drilled the second hole the same thing.. At this point we knew that this was going to be a bad. When we did the walk through we found a screw on the floor he took it. After they left we found broken glass in the driveway and two more screws. After using Stanley Steamer for 21 years I think that we will have to find someone else to do the cleaning here at the house. read more

Three rooms for $99 didn't happen because i went for the deodorizer and protection. I have a small living room, and what they call a hallway is the little area in front of the bedrooms and bathroom door (about 6x6) I also had the breezeway done as it was truly a mess..it gets a lot of foot traffic and I really needed it cleaned, deodorized and protected. Once the carpet in the living room was dry it started showing spots where no spots were before the cleaning..?? The breeze way is probably the better looking area now. It still has stains but it doesn't smell. This cost me $222.00. I can do better with my bissell cleaner that cost me $100.00 at Meijer.. I wish I would have read the reviews before I hired this company.! read more

I had my carpet cleaned several months ago, and I never felt compelled to leave a review until a few minutes ago when I saw one of their commercials. First, their commercial is hilarious- they say they will move your furniture to clean underneath. This isn't possible when they send one young man to do all the cleaning, not too. It wouldn't expect one guy to move my furniture around by himself. The hose they used for the equipment was ribbed as you would expect, but there is no cloth sock or covering so of course the corners of the walls and trim were pretty damaged. He broke the tv in the kids play room (as he was cleaning and going back and forth, the handle hit and cracked the screen of the LED tv which was 4 months old). Outside the play room, as he cleaned the carpet on the edge of the wood and carpet, the metal cleaning head scratched my wood floors pretty good. I specifically asked if my area rugs could be cleaned, he said he cleaned them but he cleaned one rug only, not the ones that needed to be cleaned. The carpets were crusty for awhile after the cleaning. I should add that the carpet I had cleaned was just over a year old at the time it was cleaned. Overall the cleaning left my carpets crusty. The worst carpet cleaning experience of my life. After they "cleaned" the carpet, not only were we charged double what we were quoted but the carpet looked no different. I literally picked up a handful of stuff off of the floor and asked them why it was still dirty and why there was a big wet piece of chocolate (my daughter must have dropped early in the day) in the middle of the floor. Their responce was that some things just get missed. How do you miss a couple dozen things that a normal vacuuming would suck up when you're a CLEANING company that just charged over $200 to clean the carpet? Looking at the receipt they also double charged for the hallway and said that one room (under 300ft) was two rooms. I'm waiting for a manager to call me back. The worst thing is that the remote control devices to a brand new (one day old) Sony Smart flatscreen turned up missing after the Stanley Steemer guys left. Reported this to the store manager and he seems a bit mocking an unconcerned. Scheduled a couch cleaning. It was more of a damp vacuum job that didn't appear to get the couch that much cleaner. However, my issue was the upsell. The sales guy that tags along with the cleaning guy spent the whole time trying to sell me things. It was so painful and he wouldn't stop - at one point he even pouted and complained about me not giving the products a chance! Sensing that he was maybe one lost sale away from getting fired, I bought a floor mat (which is great!) And a hardwood floor cleaning kit... which they never GAVE me before leaving.
