Unfortunately, our experience with Disaster Doctors was disappointing. We stressed from the…read morebeginning that we and the buyers (waiting for closing) would be concerned with any signs of lasting water damage and would be expecting professional results. Tim attained drywall/paint and flooring estimates assuring us that he uses "only the best". He promised the work (excluding the cabinet rebuild) would be completed within a few weeks. Three weeks in and the crew was still trying to figure out how to replace the drywall on the family room ceiling. Seams were showing and in one spot in the kitchen they used the wrong size drywall which needed to be removed and replaced. At that point we chose to use the flooring company installer for the carpet in the bedroom and basement. When I moved the storage boxes back into the basement after the carpet was installed I found boxes still filled with stagnant water and items floating in water. I have no idea how Tim's crew moved them during the remediation without noticing they were filled with water. Four weeks into the restoration the buyers completed a walk through. At that time there were noticeable cracks in the family room ceiling and the paint was spotty and uneven in the kitchen also. And the crown molding! Tim and his crew refinished the oak floor and crown molding, spent several days trying to install it, but apparently had no idea how to do it. He had several different helpers show up but there were gaps filled in with wood putty and rows of nail holes as they apparently hoped to hit something. Tim told us it was one of the hardest things he's ever done. The hole that his workers put in behind the master bedroom door was filled in and painted without proper sanding. We were not only extremely disappointed but embarrassed that the buyers claimed that we intentionally chose a substandard contractor to save money and the workmanship was "shotty." As a result, the buyers backed out before closing. Tim and his buddy claimed that he was "trying his best" and we were being too picky. Unfortunately, that statement only works for kids, effort doesn't count when you are a professional contractor! We agreed that Tim could replace the oak crown molding with white since it needed to be removed and replaced. But when that was installed there were several small pieces along a wall and again rows of nail holes. At this point we had no choice but to hire a professional drywall/painter ourselves. Tim chose to do the work himself rather than subcontract it to experienced workers. As a result, we lost a buyer to our home and had to hire the subcontractors ourselves. Lastly, the lack of professionalism extended to his buddy, the one that recommended Disaster Doctors to us. He went into our daughter's public place of employment and told all who would listen that we were cheap to not pay Tim for the entire job and that we were asking for a perfect job! If you have more than what a carpet cleaner can do I would recommend choosing a different company.

When I went on HomeAdvisor to search for help, Tim from Disaster Doctors was the first to respond within 15 minutes. He briefly accessed the situation and immediately packed equipment and came over. He did a great job removing the water from the carpet and setup proper equipment to further dehumidifying the room. The work was done very efficiently. When he realize that our home insurance does not cover the sump pump failure, he still leave his equipment with one extra day for us to ensure the removal of moisture. He even reduce the price from estimated $1600 to $1150 to ease our disaster situation. I would like to show our great appreciation for his effort and kindness. People say that a job can be done only two out of three, good, quick, inexpensive. This time is an exception. All three + kindness at the same time!

Cipriano's are in the wrong business if they are unhappy with their pay rate of AAA. They complain that they don't get enough money to do a job and the repairs to your home suffer. Construct Team is only worried about their bottom line. Your home and repair will only suffer for an insurance claim. They cut corners to profit more. The paint work they do is college apartment level aestectics. I was sold a scope of work with a semi competent project manager. He then pawned the whole job off on a younger subordinate to deal with my mess. Nothing but regret and corrective work that I had to do myself.

**Edited: Removed Original Review**…read more I wrote a review about my experience in the summer of 2014 (The Great Flood). My experience at that time with this company was not a positive one. A lot of loss happened and I think post experience, I chalk it up to bad communication and maybe bad hires? It's clear to me that this company cares about their work and in general has integrity. The owner reached out to me a couple times after the issue in 2014, but my mother was in the ICU and it was not a priority. Fast forward to 2016. One of ConstrucTeam's representatives contacted me in order to start the conversation again. I entertained it because I appreciated the tenacity of the company and it was clear that they wanted to make things right. Joe and his team said they would do some attic mold remediation work and a dander house cleaning for free. There did end up being a charge for drywall, insulation and vents. It was more elaborate than what I'm describing. It was pretty pricey, but they were the only ones that had logical suggestions for the venting system as well as the mold remediation. I did my own research and talked to many professionals. Their proposal seemed right to me. Only time will tell. I worked with two specialists, Ken (mold) and Matt (construction). Both were communicative and answered all of my questions. I tend to have a lot of questions (because I like to educate myself) and also I was a little skeptical that they were doing the job I was paying for and also the work they were providing for free. They really seemed solid from start to finish. They all came to the house to assess the situation, walked me through it, and also met me at a coffee shoppe in order to further discuss my inquiries. To me, that goes above and beyond any company that I have been in contact with. They continued to update me and answer my questions through the 4 weeks we worked together. I really have to highlight Ken in this review. I would 100% work with him again. He was super communicative, giving me updates every day that included photos. He answered all of my questions and walked me around the property to show me some things I should look out for (these had nothing to do with the job his team performed). It was just a nicety. When I asked for an encapsulate to be put on the attic wood because this was something another representative said was part of their protocol he did it without complaint, even though it wasn't in his proposal. He also had his team clean the refrigerator and take out the carpet that I was going to pay someone else to do. He was super easy to work with and also extremely knowledgeable. Basically, five star customer service and he does it with a smile. Joe is lucky to have him on his team. Matt was more of a no nonsense type of guy, but was knowledgeable about his craft. I noticed some errors in the drywall work and he had his team come out to fix it. It was done before I even knew it was and he came to do a walk through with me after. I appreciate that when there are issues they come, assess, fix, and walk through with their clients. They also educate. What I liked about Matt was his explanations of how things worked. He was good about educating. ConstrucTeam standardly cleans out the ducts and they seem to follow a protocol and system when they do their work with clean up and a code that their team follows on the job. Systems and standards and adherence to them are what is going to keep this company in business. I wish I would have saw this in my first go around with this company, but I am happy to see it now. As a side, I am not sure drywall of the entire bungalow was necessary... since I didn't photos of mold on the actual drywall, but it looks good nonetheless. The issues in 2014 were not about the work. I think they did a good job with clean-up and making sure that the basement was sanitized. The issue was with bad communication on their team leaders part. He didn't relay the multiple conversations we had with his team and as a result I lost some items. I also think they hire 'some' inexperienced labor, which is fine, but know that they will need to be actively monitored and understand the systems and protocols set forth by the company. I know when I was a teenager/early 20s I was not taking pride in the 'just for now' job. Based on my experience with this company this time around I would totally recommend them. I hope they provide this type of excellence on all of their jobs. I respect that they wanted to make things right and really get a good sense that Joe Cipriano wants to make sure his team follows the ConstrucTeam's codes and protocols so his business can thrive, but also because it's just the right thing to do. I will update on the mold situation and vents in 2017 when I have more time to see if their work proves to be correct. Stay tuned.

They said that they would take two days for a written evaluation and estimate for both them to do the work and DYI. I then called them back 4 days later, as they did not contact me. They never returned the call. I called them again. After profuse apologizes, they said they would call me within the hour. They never called. At the end of the business day. still no call. I called them for the last time, of which they once again apologized. No return call. So they took my money, and nothing to show for it. Promises, promises, and nothing - in my opinion this company is nothing more than a scam.

My wife contacted Mold No More LLC and spoke with the owner Adam who was nice enough to stop by and take a look on his way home, just to give us peice of mind about the possibility of it being bad or toxic. When Adam arrived, he didn't have to go through all that he did with us, but what we learned was the absolute best lesson in mold we could have ever asked for. Not only was Adam a really nice guy, he informed us how we could clean it ourselves, and how it was not dangerous. It was a great relief to know that we could clean it ourselves and have our 8 year old daughter not have to worry about it floating through the house anymore as she had be having problems with allergies and drainage, probably ever since the mold had started. Adam didn't even charge us to look at it. Mold No More LLC is... in my humble opinion, one of the absolute best companies (with 13 years of experience) that we could have ever hoped to find. Thank You again for your excellent advice, knowledge, and taking the time to explain to us how to prevent it from happening again. We are grateful that people like you are out there that want to help the consumer and not take advantage of them. If you EVER have a mold problem, THIS is the one and only company you should call. They are the best and we are very thankful and appreciative.
