When I asked why they didn't call at 2:00, was told "at 2:00 they were on time".......... They were just leaving a job and this professional stated they would be on their way. By her estimation they would arrive in 36 minutes (even though they were over 50 minutes away!!!) Did I want to wait (more than I had already waited?????) Do not use this branch. It is franchised and run under the Stanley Steemer name. I had a cleaning done for a rental property and the door was knocked off the hinges. I provided pictures of the door both before it was broken, and after it was broken from my tenant. They sent someone out to "fix" the door but when they realized they couldn't do it they said it wasn't them who broke it in the first place and left. Somehow, they sent a crew to fix it and then realized they could not and in that time they decided it was no longer them who broke it. The kind woman working on the phones actually said to never use their service again and hung up! She claims she was being "cussed at" and I reminded her it was a recorded line to play it back if she felt that was true... There are plenty of carpet cleaning services in Jacksonville, I would highly recommend someone else. And the phone operator is more than happy to tell you to use someone else's services as well! read more

I called for carpet cleaning. what a mistake. A technician is here right now for a re-do. His first statement was 'thats the color of the rug ' even though there was visible dirt stains that where not present before they came. In my opinion my rugs are ruined. We had our carpets cleaned by Stanley Steemer March 11. We were happy years ago when we had them clean, but this time not so much. There were several problems. One problem was a broken light bulb in the light fixture that I noticed shortly after the cleaner left, but evidently didn't want to tell us. Fortunately I wasn't cut by the broken glass (I figured he must have hit it on a backstroke) . The other problem was drips of what appears to be detergent left on the carpet that my wife has been cleaning off as we see them in the various rooms (even after my wife pointed one out and asked him about it). We were also charged more than quoted, but I understand they added on a charge for a small closet, but drips should not have been left, and we should have been made aware of the light bulb - I did not see it until shortly after the guy left. read more

Need Air Duct Cleaning, do NOT use this company. They offer poor service and want do the job fast, and incomplete. They advertising on their site and told us when we made an appt, they will do Air Duct Inspection where they will show customers inside the ducts before and after they clean it, They clearly false advertising!!! They did not show us anything and air still smell like dust and when we asked the guy why still smell like this and show us what you did, he told us that we do not have a camera and sorry if you have been misinformed but smell will go away by few hours. If we knew they lied we would never hired them, whole point of paying for duct cleaning is to See The Inside Duct Before and After otherwise how you claim you did the job when smell is still same. They finished 2000 sq ft house with 9-10vents in less than 2hrs which was shocking because when I made appt they told us it will take 4hrs. They left the dirt on my floors and refused to clean it. They ruined my popcorn ceiling. When we called and complaint to come back and do the job right way, the guy yelled at my wife and hung up the phone on her. I originally scheduled to have this company come out to clean a sofa, vanity chair, and room. When the technician arrived he pointed out that the white sofa had a slip cover so it would be better for me to just wash it with bleach. He tried to clean the white linen vanity chair I have but said that the products they have could not get it clean. They failed to mention that they do not move any furniture, because according to their manager, "moving beds is a liability and they had someone contact the better business bureau to complain about them moving furniture in the past". In that case I asked why I would get charged for a whole room when the king sized beg takes up 30-50% of the square footage of the carpet. She responded by saying that it should have been charged as a walkway, but either way it would not meet the minimum of $125. The total actual services I received was about $76 ($41 for the chair and ~$35 for the walkway of carpet around the bed). I asked if I could use the $25 off coupon or 10% off welcome offer that was emailed to me and was told I couldn't because of the minimum. The only thing she offered was to have another crew come out. I had no problems with the person who came out, but why would I have more people come out if their products can't get my furniture clean and they don't move furniture to fully clean the carpet in rooms? She said I could have more things cleaned or protected but I know better than to continue to throw good money after bad. I got scammed out of $49, but honestly feel like the entire $125 I spent was a waste as the cleaning was inadequate. I would stay far far away from this company. I had a much better experience with the Stanley Steemer in CA, but since they are franchised, not every one is created equal. read more

10/10 would not use or recommend due to excessive levels of noise pollution and inconsiderate scheduling of said noise pollution in subdivision neighborhoods where everyone is close enough to suffer through hours of their neighbors getting their floors cleaned. I give a one star because they claim they can get rid of pet odors with their fancy deodorizer. I exaggerated to them that this was the only concern, I had the carpets cleaned professionally already and was told Stanley Steemer can rid odors since the first cleaning company didn't, however learned the hard way that at that point you are better off to replace padding and carpet...odors DO NOT GO AWAY. The padding DOES NOT get treated, only carpet, hence the idea of getting rid of odor is meaningless. I am only upset because with experience carpet cleaning companies know this, but it would make no business sense for them to be honest to the customer. Easy to schedule and showed up on time, I even had to call and reschedule a couple times because other workers we had in our house were taking longer than expected and it wasn't a problem for Stanley Steemer. Our carpets look great now, they got out a lot of of the staining and the whole house smells clean and fresh. We were originally thinking that we'd have to replace the carpets, but we saved a lot of money getting them cleaned instead and are very happy with the results. The guys were professional and polite and made sure that all of our furniture was where we wanted it when they were done cleaning and gave us advice for taking care of the carpet in the future. I also had the grout cleaned in the master bathroom, and whatever they did in there really brightened it up! Way better than me scrubbing for hours. After they left I noticed that a walk-in closet hadn't been cleaned, probably my fault because I had a bunch of things piled up in there, but I really wanted it cleaned since it had a funny smell to it. I called up the office and the manager scheduled them to come back out and clean and deodorize it for me. AWESOME. Highly recommended and we will use this Stanley Steemer in the future. Stanley Steemer did an amazing job for us. We recently purchased a new home and after the previous owners removed all of their furniture and throw rugs, realized that the carpets were DISGUSTING. They were very discolored and in some areas, it looked as though a dead body had decomposed in the middle of the room. I was convinced that we would have to replace all of the flooring immediately, but thought I'd give Stanley Steemer a try first to see if they could salvage the rugs. From my first interaction through the end, Stanley Steemer was very professional. I was given a very accurate quote quickly over the phone and they arranged a cleaning within 48 hours. They charged me $300 for four bedrooms, a staircase, a hallway, and an oversized living room (more than 1200 square feet) when other companies quoted me $180 for 500 square feet. They were able to get all of the stains out of the carpets (a little shadow was left in the place of the biggest stain but you can barely see it), and they finished within a few hours. Showed up when they were supposed to, and got the job done. My carpets look so much closer to brand new, I think I can wait a few years before having to get them replaced. I don't ever take time to leave a bad review because I'd rather focus on positive stuff BUT this is an exception because the experience was absolutely TERRIBLE. I've been using local Stanley Steamer in St Johns and Flagler county for 3 years and have had just okay service. They came out this week and did a TERRIBLE job in all rooms. Basic/simple spots were still very visible. When I called for a redo the Manager was rude, condescending, said "his techs went to middle school" so know what they are doing. He was arguing without even seeing the job. There was also a women in the background egging him on to argue with me which I found even more strange....is this a real business? After arguing with me he agreed to do a redo but after more rude interactions with him and looking at how terrible the job was done I ended up getting another company out here. ALL OF THE SPOTS CAME UP as I suspected they would. I ended up paying twice for carpet cleaning instead of taking his offer of a redo which is to tell you....this guys was TERRIBLE in the way he interacted with me. I didn't feel comfortable at all with them coming back into my home and won't ever use them again. read more

I just had my carpets cleaned by stanley steamer instead of calling the other guys and I am so glad I did. They were excellent and my carpets were an absolute mess, most of the stsins came from my 5 year old. The carpets looked brand new. I highly recommend them. They didnt even charge extra for the massive amount of stains. I went online an got a quote and also used a coupon code I found online. I didn't pay anything over the quote and to think i almost purchased a Groupon that was cheaper but I read reviews of that company and decided to go with Stanley steemer and am so glad I did. And based on reviews I still Paid less than others did from Groupon. Yay! read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. No one showed up, called the number and got a corporate call center in Tampa. Even though Scheduled online and completed all 4 steps including plenty of personal information, they seemed to have no record of me booking. Customer service had no options for me such as working me in the schedule nor a discount to have the work performed the next day. Ask to speak to a supervisor and she said (Sheryl) "I won't take ownership of this because I can't find a record in the system" . She basically said the failure of the online booking system isn't Their fault so me taking an afternoon off and arranging to have my tenant available for the cleaning was just my inconvenience. She is "the highest up person" on the call center so no further escalation except for the letter I sent to corporate detailing this. Don't book, they won't show and won't take responsibility. They claimed to have called the local franchisee and they wouldn't assist either but I'm not sure they did anything other than throw them under the bus as well. read more

Terrible...small area for a condo, so kitchen and two bathrooms. Entered the gated complex at 8:15, didn't arrive until 8:35. Drove passed the unit which was clearly marked...duh...secondly...asked where the water Was outside side....said they couldn't do the job... my husband said how bout the washing machine?. He had know idea that was possible. How do you do the job not knowing how to handle the cleaning in different scenarios? Was told it would take 3 1/2 hours ...took 50 minutes...the cleaning. Never cleaned up after themselves, left wet footprints and puddles all over the floor. When they were leaving, when I pushed the washer back, they never put the hose back on the washer, nor did they push the washer back. I just happened to push it back the felt the hose and came right off. Good thing load of wash wasn't done or floor would have been flooded. Very unprofessional and not worth the cost. read more

Hired SS to clean the tile in my bathroom and kitchen. Two workers that looked like they were part of a work-release program showed up and performed an extremely hasty job. If the spotty job wasn't poor enough, they managed to scratch the door on a less than year old stainless steel French door refrigerator. They also managed to get their cleaner/solvent splattered on the bottom-most panel of the fridge, and the chemicals have permanently stained the stainless steel. I should have known better than to trust a job like this to a corporation so large and with such poor QA assurances in practice, but I guess that's what I get. read more

I had my carpets cleaned Saturday April 18th. The two men showed up on time and did a very nice job fairly quickly. I have my carpets cleaned, protected and deodorized and a couple of stains removed and all in all they did a wonderful job and my carpets were dry by the end of the day, However I paid extra for a thick run to be cleaned also and the results were not nearly as impressive as the carpets. So in the end they are great carpet cleaners but not so great at cleaning thick rugs. read more

Company came in to do water mitigation for me last year at my home when Hurricane Mathew hit work was not done up to industry standards for water mitigation. We paid company after work was done before being told by our insurance adjuster that it was not done properly. We called Lance the owner and told him work was not done properly, he said on the phone we would get a full refund, that didn't happen! We ended up having to go through arbitration with our cc company to get our money back. Thirteen months later we receive a letter from a law firm that this company is suing us for services rendered for over 4,000 dollars. WOW. My car interior was in need of real help. Was about to get an auto detail but a detailer told me to use these guys especially if I had a water stain , which I did. Service was fast and most excellent. Seats are like new. I got the deodorizer and fabric protector for a total of less than 130 ( small economy car ). Mats and carpet were also revived . I highly recommend this business. When they arrive to service your vehicle, make sure they have access to your vehicle and access to water. I think you'll be very happy. Remember they are there for your fabric; the plastic and glass you may have to take care of yourself, but it's worth it. Make sure to provide them with a small container/bucket to put the items they find under your seat. Great service. read more

I scheduled SS to clean tile in an entry way and kitchen/breakfast area. They were on time and looked at the job to do and proceeded from their to clean the tiles. They sprayed cleaner on the tiles and grout and scrubbed some areas of the grout. After they finished, and while the floor was still wet, they asked me to take a look (used car sales people like to have people look at wet used cars because the finish is shiny). Two days later, i looked at the tiles and around the cabinets seemed to be a different color than other areas where there was traffic. I decided to check to see if it was the light, the tile, or dirt. I cleaned one tile and it turned out to look like the color of the tiles by the cabinets (surprise, it was dirt). So it turns out the the SS super-duper sucker extractor that they use on tiles is not as good as what one would hope. You may be able to do better yourself. The tiles did look better, but we still got up a lot of dirt when we cleaned the tiles after SS. read more
