I also appreciate the women in the office who gave me encouragement along the way Angela and Melba they saw my frustration and they were the ones that recommended I speak to the general manager.

I thought that I could take care of the issue myself but realized that there was more water than I could handle. I was referred to this company and could not be happier with the services provided. Josh came out and started the process of drying down the house and was professional and answered all of my questions. I felt confident in the work performed and I would most definitely have Josh and his crew come out to save the day if I had to do it all over again.

The process of drying our home was acceptable. Dustin was courteous and informative…read more The restoration process was, however, an absolute nightmare. Once work got started we had cameras set up in our house so we would check up on them from our hotel room. The crew was very messy. They didn't cover any of our belongings while they hung drywall. They left trash everywhere in our house (food wrappers, soda cans). They goofed off, watched videos on their phones and did very shoddy work. I'd say at least a third of their work had to be redone. This was all because of what would be a constant problem: no supervisor on site. EVER. The contractor in charge of our job was never to be seen. He would occasionally stop by first thing in the morning to drop off supplies, but was never around more than 10 minutes. I was in regular contact with him trying to understand why things were taking so long and why they were being done so poorly, but I had to also figure out that he was a "fast talker". He would constantly make deadlines and miss them. Promise things would be fixed, but they wouldn't get fixed or it wouldn't be done correctly and needed to be fixed a second time. This became the common routine since he never inspected any of the work done. He also wouldn't provide his workers with proper materials and they were always back and forth to Home Depot or Lowe's. I can understand running into an issue and needing extra supplies, but this was every day. One day I happened to be home while they were working and they wanted to stop work because they had been given the wrong toe kicks to match our cabinets so I went to Home Depot myself and bought them so they could carry on with other work. It was ridiculous. This also meant that I became the defacto crew leader at times. I had to follow everything they did and make notes of what wasn't done correctly or done at all and report back to the company like I worked for them. Our bathroom needed a new vanity and I had to measure the space for a new one because he couldn't be bothered to. Surprise surprise, my measurement was incorrect because I'm not a contractor (didn't account for outward swinging doors) but he bought a vanity based on my incorrect measurements anyway. Two more days lost This went on and on for months. Meanwhile, my wife and newborn son have been stuck on the second floor because the first floor is a jobsite run by a company with no sense of urgency, but very excited to get paid. I made the mistake of giving them payment up front for the first half of work and I think that had a lot to do with them dragging their heels because once they heard I had a second check from my insurance company they would not stop asking about it. It made me wonder if they were having cash flow problems because they seemed desperate for the money. In case anyone reading this doesn't know already, you DO NOT have to pay up front for ANY WORK. Payments are made when work is done like any other business. But the owners and supervisors at Anderson insist they are entitled to that money immediately. It took a conference call with my insurance adjuster and them to lay things out plainly. They had dragged their heels long enough and it was time to finish the job or not get paid. They magically completed everything in a week.

Our toilets, showers, and tubs were backed up and this was on a Sunday. After I called I got a call…read morefrom the company who explained the process and that someone was working in our area and it could be up to 2 hours. I okayed that and got a text message 5-10 minutes later and replied Yes to accept the service. Then I got another text about 15 minutes later from the Service Technician saying he will be here in about an hour. After that text he arrived about 20 minutes later introduced himself and I showed him the problem. His name is Mr. Galu - I hope I spelled it correctly. My first impression was he is friendly, clean-cut, professional, courteous, competent, and wearing a mask. He went to the front of the house to look at the round pipe above the ground and saw bush roots around it. He cut the bush and roots, okay by me and I helped, and then got an electric "snake" to go down the pipe and reversed it out. This cleared out everything blocking the pipe and all was back to normal again. He asked if we had a dog and if we bathe the dog in the tub which we do. He saw a lot of dog hair and most likely was the problem after 12 years of baths. More good news! He recommended Roto-Rooter Preventative Pipe Shield Maintenance Treatment - 1 Gallon - good for at least 64 treatments and will last a year. I definitely want something like this. He had some with him and had it added to the invoice. He explained and showed me how to mix it with water, when and how to do. It is only once a month. The next day I purchased a screen to place over the tub opening to keep any dog hair from going down the drain again. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend Roto-Rooter and especially our Service Technician Mr. Galu as he is the best and would like to give him Special Thanks And Recognition (STAR) - Thank you.

I feel completely scammed by Roto‑Rooter--started bad and got worse…read more 1. Initial service: They charged me $9,700 for plumbing repairs in my Plantation, FL home. At the time, I thought it might be overpriced, but I accepted it because they did some repairs and promised bathroom work. I never signed the invoice or contract (DocuSign remained unsigned). 2. No proper camera inspection: The technician excavated the same area they claimed was leaking--but missed a large hole in the main sewer line entirely. 3. Partial completion, big issues: They returned later and finished the bathroom work for free--thank you for that--but still did not fix the hole in the main line. 4. Independent plumber confirmed fault: I had a second licensed plumber review everything. He said the hole likely occurred during Roto‑Rooter's "descaling" process, and the original invoice description ("descaling") is overly vague, offering no clear accountability. 5. Ongoing problems: Water pressure in the main bathroom is poor, hot water isn't working right, the toilet wasn't reinstalled properly, and the integrity of the line is compromised. 6. They refuse to take responsibility: Management says they fulfilled the contract--but their own technician missed the damage, and I have a professional saying it's their fault. 7. I've disputed the charge with Synchrony Bank, filed complaints with the BBB and Florida Department of Consumer Protection, and I'm prepared to escalate further unless this is corrected at no cost. Final thoughts: I would've been happy to pay if Roto‑Rooter had done fair, honest, and competent work. Instead, I'm left with damage and risk that could have been prevented. I strongly advise anyone to get multiple quotes, read documents carefully, and never sign or pay large invoices without verified work. Avoid this company unless you're ready to risk being overcharged and left with more problems than you started.
