This is an amazing family farm with many incredible sunflowers. There's also several different colors of sunflowers here, ranging from light yellow to golden yellow to a coppery orange to purple. It's $15 for admission. They give you a vase and shears to cut off and take any sunflowers you want. They also made a cool invention to make it very easy to set your vase on the sandy ground if you need to set it down. There also a splash pad, trampoline area, big slide, and basketball court for kids to play in. They have the sunflowers set up so that they are blooming year round. So you see all the different stages of a sunflower's life there. If any sunflower heads are older and more dried up, they told us we're welcome to take any of those and they showed us how to take the sunflower seeds off the head. There's also a gift shop named after the family's daughter with plenty of treats that all taste very fresh, good quality, and delicious. There's samples available too. They also give you a bag of sunflower seeds you can plant.

I came yesterday on a weekday. From the time I called to inquire about hours till the moment my date and I left the farm, Sunflower Bob was nothing but genuinely friendly and courteous. He walked my date and I (both our first times) through the sunflower picking process. He provided everything from tools, vases, cold water and at the very end took pictures for us! 10/10 experience and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!

What a hidden gem! My boyfriend and I were traveling through the area and passed by and decided to stop through. 10/10 recommend. We Got to pick our own vase and sunflowers ! Beautiful little spot and great prices. Don't forget to stop into their shop and get some local honey!

Such a fun time not only for our 4 year old but also for us parents! Worth the $15! I believe it's John, the son-in-law, was so nice and accommodating. We were the only ones to show on this very cold, sort of drizzling day. He opened up and wiped down everything as if he was expecting 100 people. He brought us delicious kettle corn and road us around on the old fire truck. We jumped on the HUGE bounce house, slid down the giant slide, raced the duckies, played with the basketballs, raced on the tricycles, and even fed the llamas next door! The assortment of many different species of sunflowers were amazing and we could pick as many as we could hold. Our big kids had a tournament at the Big House..and I highly recommend if you are in the area with kids..go!

    Beautiful zinnia field!

My family went today and had so much fun! The giant jump pad was great, my 1 year old thought it was funny, even my bf & I enjoyed it. The slide was a big hit as well! The splash pad was so nice since it was hot! We enjoyed playing each other at barnyard ball! We got to see the cows and donkeys, too! Our favorite was the flowers. They were beautiful and we loved being able to bring some home. Shawn was super helpful and my boyfriend enjoyed talking to him about plants :). We can't wait to come back and fish in the pond!!

    Jump pad!! Super fun!!

Better than expected, our grand daughter enjoyed everything. Nothing more than the bounce pad though!! Thank you for a great adventure and beautiful flowers!

Came here with my mom and dad after my sister recommended to come here. "Sunflower Bob" is very kind and showed us how to properly cut the sunflower. We took our time and enjoyed the fresh air and beauty of a lovely day. Highly recommend when desiring a day out in nature. Come with family, friends, or a cute date. Also, on a side note, if you were to buy flowers in the store by the dozen, it will cost more. Might as well make a day of it and enjoy picking them yourself! Cheers

10/10 would go everyday if we all could! Bob took us on a tour of the sunflower fields, zinnias, and all the amenities that aren't even open yet! He even let us turn on the sprinklers for fun! You could tell he enjoyed talking to us and showing us everything. You drive to the sunflower fields following Bob no walking required which is a plus! Honestly his joy made this experience so worth it and they even have good kettle corn you can buy! We will be visiting again soon! YEAR ROUND SUNFLOWERS!!

Perfect place to visit for a few hour regardless of the time of the year. Very friendly staff. We will definitely visit again. Worth the 30 minute ride from Orlando.

We needed a break from distance learning and quarantine. A fb friend had suggested this to me. I took my 3 boys and we got there a little after 10am and picked flowers until after 12. We had a blast! It was relaxing and the weather was beautiful! Old man Dan showed us around his property and taught us how to pick the best flowers! He was so involved and enjoys what he does! We will b back!

What is an adventure farm, you ask? Well, after visiting Stanley Pond Adventure Farm I'm still not sure how to describe one. The property is expansive with some of the land used as a plant nursery (open to the public) with a few homes on the site. In the front there is a stocked pond where you can rent rod and reel or just get some bait if you have your own gear. This seems to be mostly for kids, but we were told a 15 pound bass was caught in the pond. It is catch and release so don't hope to catch dinner. We traveled waaaaaayyy out to Astatula for a birthday party. If you have ever been to Long and Scott's corn maze, this is even past that! There is very little shade and the property is HOT. DO NOT come here when it is warm as there is no place to escape the heat (ie. no air conditioned areas). All parts of the facility are clean and well-kept, in fact, everything looks fresh and new. Here's how it works: Entrance is free but most of the activities require tokens, $10 for 12 tokens or $25 for 35 tokens. Then you trade in tokens for activities. Activities include horse rides (5 tokens), jumping pillow (3 tokens), Mini Airboat (6 tokens), hayride (2 tokens), Tractor ride in blue cows (3 tokens) and fishing (10-12 tokens). There are a handful of free things like a sand pile and a toddler play area. Most of the activities were very "Meh". The horse ride entails being led in a short circle in a field (mostly in the sun). The jumping pillow is kind of hard to describe. It's like a flat inflatable pillow the kids can jump on. They jump for two songs then are taken off, but at least there is a cover over it. The guide we had, an older gentleman, was nice enough but he had A LOT of rules. He kind of barked them at kids and adults alike. No standing up on the tractor ride, no pulling the plastic bull horns, no climbing on this part of the pillow, no laying down on the pillow, no exiting the pillow from that direction, etc. I know you need rules but even the adults were making comments about this, maybe it was his delivery was just too harsh. They didn't seem to have enough staff to work all the areas. They had a few people rotating through the activities but the areas were so spread out it took quite a while. I saw one lady shut down the pillow/horse ride area to help in another area. She basically locked the gate in some kid's face. They have a small snack bar but it would be best to bring food and drink of your own. My son's favorite activities were probably the mini airboat, which is actually pretty neat, albeit short. For 6 tokens you get two laps around the pond. Not sure the people fishing appreciate this! He also liked the jumping pillow, because, what kid doesn't like to jump? And of course playing in the sand "mountain". What kid doesn't like to get dirty? What parents don't like so much is being hot and sweaty and putting a sandy kid in the car!

Bobs must have Kettle Corn! Delicious!

GO KART FAMILY FUN DAY!!!…read more Found this on Groupon and thought we would try it out. I can give this a quick review as we spent most of our time on the Go Karts. At least the ones that were open. We purchased a Groupon that gave us the day at the park and an arcade card. (Pic below of current discount) We had a great time, but it was a little repetitive when it came to fun options. The gas Go Karts were not running so there were only the electric ones. Kids had a great time!!! The arcade had allot of options, but price per game was kind of high in comparison to other Arcades we frequent. The batting cages could use some love, but most of them were up and running. Our son had a good time and we didn't need to bring equipment with us which was nice. The kids rides are like basic carnival twirly or up and down rides. The mini golf course looked to be very basic and visually stimulating at all. Like it's an after thought. Being the only one in the area, you would think they would put more thought into the players enjoyment of their course. Laser Tag was Fun, but limited space and quicker rounds then we are used to. Try Laser Ops in Tampa for a fun Laser Tag course. Check out my review!!! For all day trippers like us... There is a small restaurant on the property, but many food options around the area. We did try the little restaurant for brunch time and their food was pretty good. Mostly got pastries and everyone enjoyed them. This is not a place we would frequent because of the expense of the place and travel costs for us. It is definitely a place to visit if you're going to be in the area and want to have a Go Karting Fun Time!!! AS ALWAYS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

The food part is closed and they only have a few vending machines scattered for snacks and drinks. We ended up ordering Dominos and eating it out front on their picnic table. Most of the games worked and the attractions outside seemed a little older but in good condition overall. They offer mini golf (desperately needs to be cleaned in the gutter type holes ...leaves are clogging them and the ball got stuck before we realized they aren't functioning) which we really enjoyed. We also played laser tag, drove go carts, had batting practice in the cage, rode the tall "drop" ride, and played a few video games inside. Service: some workers were so nice and helpful. Some made you feel like they wanted you there. But of course you always have those that seem unhappy at their job and make you feel like a bother. There was one guy with really long straight hair that needs to find a different job because clearly he was not happy there. Otherwise they were almost all very nice. Loved the gal at Laser Tag and the gal at the desk when we first arrived (I wish I would have gotten all their names). Extra note: Oh yeah, and to the one young guy who came up to distract me when I was in the batting cage... you need to understand that is dangerous! Your co-workers had already told us how long we had left in the cage.. twice. Then you walked up after without checking with them if they notified us, and instead chose to talk to me with 50mph balls coming at my body. They literally only last a few minutes... you could have waited until I was done with that round. I understand yall are all ready to go home, but use a little common sense next time please. Plus I still had time as your other coworkers had told us. Overall: we had a great time. We really enjoyed the batting cages, mini-golf, go carts and laser tag. We will definitely come back and refer others to come. A few disgruntled workers are not enough to keep us away... only to mark down the rating a little. LOL!

We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The walkways were wide and we were never on top of other guests. Most rides had reasonable wait times and/or offered single rider options. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. My only downside to Universal Studios is that some of the themes felt outdated or just aren't favorite characters of mine. At least this helped to decrease the temptation of spending money on apparel or merchandise.

(I haven't seen a single one of those movies either!) I'm much more a fan of roller coasters than motion simulators so I like Islands of Adventure a good deal more than USF. I also like the theming more, apart from the Springfield area and Diagon Alley. The whole studio backlot/cityscape isn't as interesting to me. It's still a pleasant looking park though. The layout seems more confusing than IOA which is really straightforward and simple. Maybe part of it is this was my maiden voyage to USF while I'd been to IOA once before but there's just more nooks and crannies here. I've done reviews for most of the major rides and Diagon Alley. Simpsons and Transformers are elite, E.T. is a wonderful blast of nostalgia and weirdness we must protect at all costs, Escape from Gringotts is way overrated even if the queue theming and preshow is superb, I got no love for Jimmy Fallon or his stupid ride, the indoor Mummy coaster is surprisingly good still leaves this park's coaster lineup lagging way behind its neighbors, Men in Black is okay but not worth waiting in a long line for and the Minions shooter game was a quick diversion I never even bothered to do a review for. I'm just seeing we missed another Minions ride, a motion simulator. It was such a whirlwind of queues with almost no wait I guess it was easy to miss one. The Blues Brothers musical revue was an absolute blast with an awesome setting. And the Mardi Gras parade wrapped itself around the city streets around the diner where my sister and I ate dinner with us looking out the window and had parade to spare both before and after our meal! It went on for over half an hour. Universal didn't chintz out on that at all. Cast members, floats and flying beads aplenty. There were more shows, too, with stuff like behind the scenes on how Hollywood does makeup, stuff like that. We skipped these but stuff like this is why I wish I'd gotten my parents to this park before they passed. They'd have loved stuff like that, the Blues Brothers and the Hogwarts express. They seemed to like Islands of Adventure okay but I think they'd have liked this park considerably more. The theming, too, I think they'd have enjoyed more. This park closed a couple hours early on the weekday we visited, booked by some high rollers for a private event so we ended our day where we started at Islands of Adventure. And though I like that park more, with a Fast and Furious coaster on the way to USF I think I'd be more eager to return here and ride that and spend more time exploring and soaking in the vibes at this park.

There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. From the moment we arrived to when we left, everything was really well done. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which set the tone right away. They have a buffet for breakfast and lunch with a good variety of options, so I feel like most people could find something they like. There are also smaller stands with snacks, pizza, and ICEE stations. Now let's talk about the drinks. There is just something about a frozen daiquiri when you're by the water. Highly recommend getting the drink package and trying a few... or all of them if you can handle it. I loved how many different areas there were to explore. Seeing dolphins swimming so close to the beach was actually kind of magical. They also have a monkey island which I was really excited about. It was closed when we got there, but I could still see them from a distance and I loved that. The aviary was really cool too. Tons of birds, but also tons of people. They recommend going first thing when the birds are most active, which we did, but so did everyone else. We got there about 45 minutes after opening and the birds already seemed a little over it. Honestly, I don't blame them. The Grand Reef was such a cool experience. I didn't really know what to expect, and even though it's man made, it still feels really immersive. Some of those rays are huge and have zero fear. They will swim right into you. My guy had never experienced anything like that and he loved it. I also liked that there were shallow areas and deeper sections if you wanted more of a snorkeling feel. The only downside for us was the Wind Away River. There are spots that get deep really fast, and that day they were apparently out of floaties because people were hoarding them and claiming areas. Staff even acknowledged it, which was frustrating because nothing was being done about it. It made parts of the river harder to enjoy than they should have been. Other than that, everything else was great and it made for such a fun day. Also the bar swings were a highlight. Loved those.

A few "dark rides" (Caballeros, Nemo, and Ratatouille), weren't bad as shelter from the scorching Florida heat. The real magic is in entering "flow state" and wandering the world showcase areas. The architecture and atmosphere draws you in and scratches that international travel itch. There are so many nooks, crannies, and hidden treasures to explore - from unique shops to themed restaurants. The real stars were the excellent food and drink options. The food from the numerous themed stands and stalls is ridiculously good and priced fairly. Drinks are very expensive but a memorable part of the visit. My favorites were the cajun food (poboy and gumbo) and the famous fish and chips. The margaritas at La Cava de Tequila were astoundingly good (with a pricetag to match). If this had been our first Disney cruise, I'm not sure that I would rush out and do another one, truth be told. On our previous cruises, everyone we encountered on the staff, from the Check In crew at the port to the stewards, to the random Cast Members we would come across around the ship, was friendly and welcoming. Here the staff seemed harried and tired, like we caught them at the end of a very tough shift and they had nothing left to give. While the food was still excellent, the service was not at the same level as our previous cruises. We simply adored our dining teams on the Magic and the Dream; taking pictures with them at the end of the cruise. This time, with Jonathan and Carlos, it was very transactional. There was no connection or anything engaging with the team. They were certainly pleasant but the Disney magic was lacking. Our room steward, Arawan, was efficient, but I only ever saw him twice: Shortly after we boarded and the last night of the cruise when we were preparing our luggage for disembarkation. He certainly kept the room clean, so I do appreciate that! However I noticed some things, maintenance-wise in the room that displayed a lack of Disney's attention to detail, such as some rust spots in the bathroom. I would expect that from Norwegian, but definitely not from Disney. One night at the hot tub there was a guy openly vaping and staff only came over to tell him the hot tub was closing, not that he could not smoke in this area of the boat. At some of the trivias in the various entertainment venues, we either got inundated with offers for drinks or completely ignored, there was no in-between! In addition, staff broke my husband's luggage. Points to them for trying to fix it and sending an apology basket, but now that we are back on land, he has to spend time and energy filing a claim for the damage and going through that whole process. Hopefully we recapture the magic on our next Disney cruise, as the Fantasy is my least favorite of our cruises so far.
