Great place for the kiddos. Plenty of seating for all as well as an adult area with massage chairs. Snack bar includes burgers and fries. Has an arcade area and rooms for birthdays.

It's a perfect place to have fun out of the hot Florida sun. It's definitely worth the price of admission and they also serve food.

Fun for the kids and " adults". Who doesn't love air inflated bouncy houses and slides.

I grew up down the road from here and it will always be a huge part of my heart. They have the prettiest flowers and their popcorn Let me tell you my mom and I finished it so quick we had two bags and NO we didn't share. Guess the family will have to come out and get their own bags sorry not sorry. Anyways look at these beautiful flowers that I picked up this week! I did bring my own vase this time around but they do supply vases that are so beautiful. At this point I need like a Stanley Pond hoodie so I can stay talking about this place

It was raining when we arrived, but after about 10 minutes it stopped, so we were able to check it out. The rain must have scared everyone away, because we were the only ones there! Not what I had expected for a Saturday, but such is the rain in June in Florida! It felt like a VIP treatment to have the farm all to ourselves! This is a family owned and operated farm, and we got to meet the owner and two of his children. We were given a briefing on how to cut the Xenia's and sunflowers with cutting shears provided by the farm, as well as vases and carrying trays to make it easier to pick and go. It was all you can pick, and we had the place to ourselves so it was nice. The weather wasn't hot at all and was perfectly over cast. SPAF plants flowers weekly, and sunflowers can be enjoyed here year round! We also got a tour of their inside entertainment center where we were told Santa and the Easter bunny make appearances for photos and their seasonal festivals. Near the picking fields was a tall slide, a tricycle track with bikes, and a giant bouncy house that my 3 year old loved the most. There were a few concessions for sale at the ticket house, including organically made kettle corn and sunflower planting kits. This was a safe and fun family outing and we got some gorgeous flowers to take home and enjoy for a very reasonable price!

Turns out, this little park has more history than its size suggests. Earl Gilbert donated about five acres of lakefront property to Mount Dora in 1922, making Gilbert Park one of the city's earliest public parks. Walking around Lake Dora, I could see why this spot mattered. You've got enormous old trees, the water, Alexander Creek running through the park, the lighthouse across the lake and plenty of those classic Old Florida views that make you slow down and actually look around. It's peaceful, pretty and surprisingly scenic for such a small park. My verdict? Gilbert Park is definitely worth the walk, especially if you're already exploring Mount Dora. I wandered the entire property, walked along the lake for a bit and took in all the little details. It's not some huge attraction that requires half a day, but that's actually the charm. Come walk it, look around, take your pictures and enjoy the lake. Then, if you're anything like me, you'll probably say, "Okay, I've seen it. What's next?"

I read a negative review about someone's son getting hurt and not being notified. This has not been my experience. The one time when my son and his friend were throwing an object back and forth In the pool and my son got hit in the eye accidentally, they called me immediately and the P.A. was able to write him a prescription and she took care of everything. The camp is a little "quaint" but that adds to its charm. Last year my son did a week at another camp and begged me to only enroll him at Camp Horizon. It was way overcrowded at that other camp and the food terrible. I will be sending my daughter to Camp Horizon when she old enough. I appreciate they keep the price reasonable too.

It is wooden with an upper deck that looks out over the massive lake. The camp director was nice and let us take a walk around. The grounds were so peaceful and relaxing.
