Several different playground items to play on. Gated. Several benches for parents. Great park for littles!

One section is the Passive Wildlife Conservation Area and the other half is the Gateway. The Gateway is a combination of Active Recreation and natural areas. This is a nice area to visit. It's clean, safe and well marked.

It's purpose I thought was to educate but it does not seem to be kept up. I used to be able to drive there when I took care of my Mom but it looks like your not supposed to mow which is a shame too for those that cannot walk that far. They have a sports complex with pickleball and tennis, a dog park and softball field all in good shape. There is a short cement trail at this area along with a short trail to walk your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the rest of the park. Everything on this area seems well maintained. We ride our bikes there but then there are no bike trails, just hiking. Beautiful natural place that was reclaimed from a previous cattle farm.

There are a few tennis courts, a little walkway oh, and a nice, little dog park. They do pretty good with the space that they are allotted. On the particular morning that I visited P E A.R. Park, it was gray, chilly and dismal, yet the people visiting the park were friendly and only enhanced the experience. All in all, my visit to this park was a nice respite from the highway and stress and strain of modern living and all of the hassles involved with it. If you are cruising through Leesburg on 27 and are looking for a parkto takeabreak, this is a good place to head for. AsI have said, this is a small Park, however, Leesburg it's not a big place. I think this park fix the city of Leesburg quite well. I am giving it four stars overall.

It is only called the "Fountain Lake Trail" on the easternmost portion; the remainder has no name. It is hoped that this trail will in the future extend westerly to Wildwood center, and easterly to Tavares, at which point it may get a more comprehensive name. For now, in order to get a review up, I will go with "Fountain Lake Trail" This trail is built upon the former Seaboard Railroad Orlando Subdivision. This line was so important to Seaboard , that they sent to newly dieselized Orange Blossom Special down it, just to show off the equipment, as this was not the route of their premier train. The fact that the train is on a railbed means that it is delightfully level, free of huff and puff hills. One can always go to Mount Dora or Clermont if one craves a panting experience on the gel seat. There are lots of live oaks and pleasant greenery. There are traces of the former citrus industry that fed this line everywhere, most notably Central Florida Freezer, but sadly the freezes and disease killed that industry in this area. At the western end of this there is no official parking lot, but one can park in a church parking lot, and then peddle westwards a little bit until the path begins. This would perhaps be where a Villager would park one's vehicle to begin this ride. Riding a bike on 44 to get to the begining of the path is dangerous. There are some homeless encampments in the woods at the more isolated sections, and a constant homeless presence in the park behind City Hall in Leesburg, but I don't let that deter me as it is such a pleasant ride. In addition, the City recently announced an intiative to deal with that situation. Leesburg itself is an interesting place to visit. There are several good places to wet your whistle, catch a bite, or lick an alcoholic ice cream.
