The procedure itself was about 10-15 minutes. It was absolutely painless, just felt some pressure. My eyes were very sensitive after the procedure (why naps are encouraged). I got home, took a 4 hour nap and when I woke up, the eye irritation was significantly less. Every passing day, my eyes are less dry and irritated. And my vision seems to get better and clearer. The procedure itself only took like 15min. It is exactly 24hrs since I got the procedure done. I went to lasik plus today for my follow up appointment. My vision is already BETTER than 20/20, and once the haloing goes away due to the healing process, my vision will become even clearer. If I was given the choice to do it all over again or stay using glasses/contacts, I would do the procedure again without hesitation. The level of information and care is incredible…read more I was a little nervous because of how blind I already was and those "what ifs" start creeping in about what if it gets worse or I end up completely blind instead of the already mostly blind. Everyone there makes you feel so at ease. Dr. Passi is awesome. You can tell he has the experience, knowledge to get what needs to happen done and forethought of everything you may ask, answered. One of my favorite things about Dr. Passi was his complete honesty, just enough fluff to make you comfortable but at the same time, made sure you understand what's going to happen, what needs to happen afterwards and realistically what to expect after treatment and that's ultimately what he's logically there for. The expertise in this area, and he more than knows his craft. Last night oof, he was right, I was wrecked but after following directions of medicated eye drops every 2 hours and wear the covers with the correct amount of ibuprofen- Tylenol ratio, I was totally fine this morning (I took melatonin too because it never hurts to want to not wake up constantly) I'm sure Hoopes is great BUT I also would say there's definitely not just a single place to go and don't rule this place out. Dr. Miller took extra time, having me come in twice for measurements to make sure he was clear on all the challenges in removing my cataract without tearing a larger hole in my eye. But because Dr. Miller was so precise, prepared and concerned, he was able to successfully remove the cataract, put in my new lens and save my vision, even with all the attendant risks.
