Our guides (Anna and Kaitlyn) were informative and entertaining during our 45 minute ride to the drop in near Glenwood Canyon. It's definitely a large operation. Check in for us involved a 100 people or so. But they've got it down. Don't plan to bring much/anything with you honestly. You can choose wet suits, dry jackets etc... It was 75 degrees in July here so our family split between wet suits and dry jackets. The latter was the better choice. You take a 30 minute school bus ride and some quick safety instructions (thanks Erico!) And then get assigned to your boat. Ours included 8 of us and a guide. Honestly that was too much but okay. Our guide was Tristan who was fantastic. Funny and engaging with fun facts along the way. But more importantly you could tell he was taking safety seriously. We did the browns canyon ride and it was a good mix of slightly challenging for the kids and fun for the adults. All in all it was a great way to spend half a day!

We were upset, but ended up being able to float through Sage Outdoors (definitely recommend, but we had to drive to Dotsero ourselves) and they said the Turtle Tubbing cancellations been happening all summer, so clearly not a family emergency. HUGE SCAM. Not confident we will get refunded nearly $800 but we are hoping to dispute the charge. This business NEEDS to be shut down.

Q few notes, all probably already left by previous reviews- 1. First 20 minutes are fantastic. From the first rapids- dubbed Entrance Exam- you will spend 20 minutes of being drenched and hitting fun walls of water. Folks in the front will get wet. Helmets required for these 20, and then they may be removed. Sunglasses stayed in pocket until the rodeo was over. Lots of good Class 3 whitewater! 2. The remainder of the float is a float through the amazing canyons. Put the oars down, and let your guide steer and do the work- much different than all other previous rafting trips in PA. Amazing scenery, and Erin gave us a smattering of history and ecology. Best place to slowly view the beauty of the canyon! 3. Bring a dry bag of you want to bring water, snacks, etc. Odds are unlikely that your boat will flip and send your bag down river. Super fun day. At Boxcar Pool, Erin let the boys stand on the front of the raft while she spun and tried to buck them off. She also let #2 son practice guiding and rowing the boat through a quiet stretch. All other boats also seemd to really enjoy their guides. Of course, merch, photos, etc. are available for sale at the end. And don't forget to tip your guide. They earn it! 5 stars, no questions asked.
