Hired Stand Out to clean my tile roof of mold/mildew etc. They showed up on time, workers were pleasant and did the job. Here is the problem. They used a very stringent chemical to clean the roof, but neglected to cover the surrounding plants and hedges. What they did was spray the plants and hedges with water as the other worker sprayed the roof. At first glance this may appear to be satisfactory, but it is not. All of the plants should have been covered and protected. Consequently some of the plants were exposed to the chemicals and died. The worst part was the roof was not thoroughly rinsed so a reside remained and during the first couple of rain storms the residuals fell onto the hedges surrounding the house and killed the side facing the house. In addition a 17 year old Queen Palm which had grown to the height of the roof most have been over sprayed during this procedure and the palm side facing the house died and eventually the entire palm had to be taken down. So be careful when using these folks for cleaning your roof. The roof turned out fine, but the cost may not have been worth it. read more
