We hired Trusted Pool and Spa (TPS) to build our pool, spa, and screen enclosure in spring and summer 2024. While the subcontractors did an excellent job, our experience with TPS's communication, accountability, and follow-through was frustrating and costly. The enclosure, marketed as capable of withstanding 140 mph winds, failed during Hurricane Milton at 120 mph. Unfortunately, we could not insure the structure beforehand because TPS delayed providing critical documentation despite our repeated requests. From July through September, we repeatedly requested the documentation needed to insure our structure--the Certificate of Completion and the final bill--via text, email, and in-person conversations. Despite our persistence, TPS employees consistently claimed they were "waiting on the certificate," even though the county had issued it to them on August 26 (a fact we only discovered later). TPS failed to notify us of the permit closure or provide the final bill until September 30, more than a month after the project was completed. This delay was significant. By the time TPS provided the documentation on October 1, Florida's September 26 insurance moratorium had taken effect, preventing us from updating our policy. When we escalated the matter to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), TPS not only failed to address the core issue but also insinuated legal action if we did not withdraw our complaint. This response was both inappropriate and dismissive of the legitimate financial and emotional impact their delays caused. While the construction was completed within the expected timeline, TPS's failure to provide critical documentation in a reasonable timeframe was entirely avoidable. This lack of professionalism significantly impacted our ability to protect our property. Rather than addressing the core issue of their delay in providing the required documentation, TPS's response has been to deflect. They focused on hurricanes (which are irrelevant to the delay), accused us of seeking revenge (for reasons unknown), and claimed they were not contractually obligated to provide the Certificate of Completion--even though their employees assured us they would notify us when it was received and provide it to us. TPS also placed blame on us for not independently checking with the county, despite repeatedly telling us the permit had not been closed. It's unreasonable to expect us to assume they were being dishonest. Additionally, they falsely accused us of libel and slander, even though we were merely sharing our honest and factual experience. TPS's behavior throughout this process has been unprofessional and dismissive, further compounding the frustration caused by their avoidable delays. We cannot recommend TPS due to their poor communication, failure to address repeated requests for documentation in a timely manner, lack of accountability, and dismissive response to legitimate concerns. read more

All names are deceiving especially this one. Trusted pools is not to be trusted! 1) quoted a price and right before the dig VP of Sales calls to say we need to pay them $4000 more. If we don't we will not give you back deposit of $5k. Talked him down to $2000 (scam) 2) showed salesman pictures of rounded corners. Says ok. Come home during build we have square corners. Project manager says he would fix but trusted pools say no don't do it. 3) we show salesman where we want pool equipment. Says ok. Submits plans with pool equipment in the wrong place. This causes fight with the HOA. 4) didn't bury overflow drain under the pool shell. Put a pipe coming out of flower beds and this killed our grass. 5) didn't properly cure the surface of pool, wound up with a huge scale problem costing us more to fix since they said not their problem. While our pool looks nice and we have so far not had any major issues (its only a month old so time will tell), I would not recommend using this company. We were told when we signed the contract the completion could take 13 months (they actually finished ahead of schedule). Some of the issues we ran into were: 1. Anytime we had to ask a question or had a concern we had to reach out multiple times in order to even get a response. 2. Work rarely started when we were told, and then when the estimated start date came and went we would get zero communication, only to have worked show up weeks later without any notice. 3. workers constantly left the jobsite a mess. When the pool was finished there were still soda bottles and water bottles they had left in our yard. 4. at one point workers were trying to pour concrete until after 9pm. I get trying to complete a job, but we have neighbors and the noise was horrible and since the noise ordinance starts at 8pm we had to ask them to stop. That same night instead of using lamps or flashlights to work they dips peices of wood in accelerant and lit them on fire in our backyard. I really don't feel like the company cares for its customers (or maybe only cares for the customers that spend the most money). read more

I received a quote in late August for a pool renovation by Eddie Perez. Later, he increased the price by over $13,000; apologizing for his discrepancy, and saying that it was "an error in his process." How can a contractor for this company make such a large discrepancy in the quote?!? It would be understandable if it were a couple thousand of dollars, but when he misquotes by a 75% increase, it is an unacceptable error. In July 2021 I signed a contract agreement with Trusted Pools and Spas to install a pool and hot tub spa. We live in Del Webb Lakewood Ranch FL. Brook Conrad was the sales guy and did a good job. I was told permitting was behind so it would be a few months before the first dig. Fine. 6 months later, January 2022 I'm told the dig would start mid February. It did, Dave Jervis the project manager was good. During the dig and pool construction I noticed the pool hot tub looked short. I told Dave it was agreed to be 18" high it was 12". He called and it was found that his work order was different than the signed contract agreement. No problem it was a good catch and it was corrected. Then I noticed the pool depth looked deep. Again his work order said 5 ft the contract said 41/2 ft. Again caught before it's a big issue. Pool construction was done and I met with Braden the pool school guy. When the pool equipment was installed Braden came to talk about how it worked. He turned it on and the hot tub blower didn't work. The gas heater didn't work either. That's when I was told I needed to have the gas line installed on my own. No problem, I just wished someone could have told me before then, it could have been done. He said he would order a new blower and install it when it came in. While talking I asked him how the auto fill and auto drain worked. He said there wasn't an auto fill. I showed him the contract agreement and he made some calls to confirm the contract was right and they missed that on the construction work order. They said an external auto fill could be installed using my outside line by running a water line to the equipment which would be approximately 70 ft long. They sent out some kid alone with a shovel to do this. He started by digging a shallow 4" deep trench through the yard 70 ft long for this water pipe. While digging he hit my frontier internet line which cost me $148 to fix. When he was done i was left with a job that looked like a 1st grader did it. The pipe was shallow and would be broken the second grass cutters came thru. He also laid out an electric wire from the equipment to the pool drain that's still laying a top the ground. I called the company and got Chris. Still not sure if this is Chris the owner or not. I sent him the pics of the job and he did send the kid back out to redo and place the water pipe in a better location. The job has still yet to be checked by anyone to see if the job was done properly. I later got a call from Braden saying the blower was in and he was coming to install. Braden never showed or called. This happened 2 straight weeks of blowing me off with out an explanation or an apology. The next week he did show and replaced the blower. He said they were still out of maintenance kits and didn't know when the lanai and pavers would be cleaned. I called Chris to find out when he could check on the auto fill job the kid did and let him know the gas line was installed to the heater and it needed to be reset as well as that the paver are still filthy. He told me he was going on a cruise and to call him when he returned which would be a week and a half later. During this week I had gotten a final bill of completion. Chris told me to just pay it they'd get the work done. I trusted that the work would get done. It's paid in full but the job is still not complete after over a year. I did finally see one day the maintenance kit was left on the patio without notice. To date, I'm still waiting for the someone to make sure the auto fill is installed correctly within code and is working, the gas heater is working and the entire pool area power washed and cleaned. It's everything to do with the equipment not working, lanai cleaning and finalization that the job. I am a part timer at my house, so luckily I was there to catch some of the mistakes on my own that occurred. read more

they stopped coming, they kept on invoicing and cashing my checks my pool became a disaster i sent email and never answered i cut them loose

They renovated my pool in 2015, put in a pool heater and were supposed to put in a salt water system and maintain it as a salt water pool. Starting January 2018, I noticed Aaron Bishop pools sending me invoices to my email inbox. Basically, without my knowledge and prior authorization, Chris Hegedus had turned over the maintenance of my pool to another pool company. I told him I was not OK with it but it made no difference to him and he just said, "Give Aaron a chance. You will be happy with his service." Last week, I noticed brown patchy film all over the bottom and walls of my pool. I scrubbed a part of it by the return off and confirmed that it was algae. I sent TPS an email to this affect and got no response. I kept an eye out for Aaron who arrived yesterday and communicated the same with him. He said it had to do with pollen and that he didn't have the treatment for it last week but he brought it with him yesterday. The water was very murky by yesterday. I noticed a large yellow chlorine container with his tools and asked him if he was treating my pool with Chlorine and he confirmed that he was. I told him that my pool was a Salt Water pool and that I had had Trusted Pool & Spa put the Salt Water Pool Equipment in when I renovated the pool in 2015. Aaron told me that Greg/Craig the TPS tech who was servicing my pool before him had told him that the salt water equipment wasn't working. You can imagine my shock, frustration and disappointment at this point with this company, its staff and its affiliates. I used to like them, their service and recommended them highly. They got big and I think success got to their heads. They have treated me terribly and when I complained to them about this entire ordeal with my pool's algae growth, chlorine used instead of salt in my pool by them for who knows how long, the murky water, the unauthorized transfer of my pool's service to Aaron Bishop, they responded as such, "Your emails and texts seem harassing. We don't know why you are writing to us when we no longer service your pool and why you are upset with us. Take care of yourself." So unprofessional, dismissive, negligent and careless. My family is in town this weekend for my son's HS graduation. My pool's water is murky and cloudy due to the poor care of the company that TPS hired to service my pool without my authorization and agreement. read more
