Balayage by the Alaina Marshall
Caitlin T.

Alaina Nicole Marshall is the Best!!! I have been seeing her for years. She is the most thoughtful & detail oriented stylist. She is the only person I trust to do my hair, so of course I had to have her color and curl my hair for my wedding day! Highly recommend this gem, book your appointment in advance as she is so popular;)

Balayage, color and cut with Anna B.

I waited a week to write this review since I wanted to see how the new do would hold up. Let's just say I'm soooo happy to have met Anna B. @Stan Parente and I absolutely loveeee my new hair! Anna was so attentive, personable (not in an nosy way) and so passionate / confident / patient to give you the look you've asked for! You can tell she takes pride to make the client % happy!! It was not an easy endeavour since I needed a colour correction, full balayage (with colour to cover up greys) anddd a haircut! She even went the extra mile at the very end to suggest applying an additional quick gloss to balance a few brassier spots on the back of my head just to make sure I have a complete 360 look!

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR TO BE RUINED AND BE EMOTIONALLY SCARRED. TL;DR: Chemical mishandling by hairstylist Homeira, she significantly DAMAGED my hair and caused me to lose HALF of my hair. I scheduled an appointment for only a haircut and hair treatment, when I got here, I asked the hairstylist to take a look at my hair's condition and her opinion about doing a color-retouch, the hairstylist named Homeira mentioned she doesn't have much time (about 1.5hr) but will still do try to do all three. After taking a quick glance at my hair, she started putting bleach on my hair. It was such a fast decision and not much conversation going on, I got worried and started asking some questions, she seemed annoyed so to comfort me, she hold my shoulder and gently told me my hair quality is good and healthy, that I should not worry. It did work, I calmed down and told her I'll leave my hair to her today because she's the professional. After finish putting on bleach Homeira put me under a heating machine for 25mins, meanwhile she was helping another customer so I had to sit there longer than I should be. When she finally came back to check on me, she didn't ask anything but to put me under the heat for another 15mins and went to help other customer again! After she rinsed my hair somehow she didn't even dry it so I had to walk back to my seat with hair dripping water. Now to think about it, she probably noticed my hair was falling already after the over heating and she didn't want to tell me about it. After she sat me down first thing she tried to do is to brush my hair. Right away I noticed a significant amount of hair falling and she immediately tried to hide the brush behind her back. I was so emotionally shocked and asking her what's going on, Homeira became very defensive saying she did nothing wrong and my hair was already very damaged so it is my fault. Another hairstylist joined conversation also blamed it all on me without even knowing the whole situation, and she even asked me to step outside the store because I "raised my voice", while HALF MY HAIR GONE AND HAIR STILL WET. Another stylist came out with Homeira and CORNERED me and started bullying me, saying that this is 100% my fault because my hair was so bad and started putting words in my mouth. No one was listening to me, no one was trying to find a solution after the damage was done. They were the ones that suggested I get the treatment with the chemicals, and they blamed me for everything. Homeira tried to make extra money by doing color-retouch, haircut and hair treatment all these three within 1.5hrs, so she RUSHED the entire process and caused me to LOSE half my hair. Not a single person apologized or offered to fix my hair. They kept talking over me, raised their voices, asked me to lower my voice or to step away, and then told me to leave the premises. The next day their manager contacted me, without apologizing she said three "professional" hairstylists already told her the "truth", so whatever I was trying to tell her, even though she wasn't there on that day, she would still trust her people 100% and believing it was all my fault, claiming my hair was self damaged. I asked for list of products to help repair my hair and she immediately said no and no negotiation. Seems they absolutely don't care about their customers at all. I cannot believe this is how a business handles things. When things are good, sure everyone would be happy and that's where all the good reviews are from, that's how I came to this salon in the first place. But if things go wrong they would immediately asking you to step outside, blaming it all on you and taking ZERO responsibility. Homeira is the worst hairstylist I've ever experienced in my life. I had my hair done all the time and spent so much time and money on it to look good, just because someone SO UNPROFESSIONAL and SO CARELESS to mistreated my hair once, now I'm spending a lot more money to maintain the half of the volume. She is not going to get away with this.

I love the woman who works at the front desk! So kind and friendly. I was welcomed with coffee and had the best experience. My stylist, Oana, was amazing!! She gave me exactly what I wanted, listened to me, and was so kind. I love my hair and feel like myself again. She corrected so much and cut it so it's effortless to style now. Thank you thank you! She is the best.

Was on the hunt for someone who could both cut and color (brunette roots) with out walking away and feeling like one aspect was rushed or subpar. POLLY is amazing. Detail oriented is an understatement. Cut: Went for a lob (I know, common, but when you have had very long hair most of your life you definitely want the huge change to be done well). She spent so much time to carefully cut and texture my hair and did not go shorter than I expressed. I walked out feeling confident and in love with it. Color: As a brunette, more time than not I walk out with red/brassy hair. Not with Polly. Root color didn't turn after 7 weeks between appointments either. She is so diligent that there is no way a gray will be missed either! Excited to have found her and will continue my visits.

Went there to have a balayage done by Carissa and she was amazing! She was very detailed and gave me exactly what I wanted. She also trimmed all my dead ends and styled my hair beautifully. She's so sweet and I can't wait to go there again!

Before omg so sad

Update: I hate my hair cut, my hair is stringy and over texturized. Way to thin. I like my thick hair. Sick I didn't stop this woman from thinning the crap out if it. Polly cut my hair and I have very wavy thick hair. When I sat down I asked her NOT to use thinning shears on my hair because it breaks the curl pattern. Instead she went crazy with the shears, yes I should have told her to stop when I realized it but I get tired of having to tell stylists to stop it makes for an uncomfortable experience. I was also afraid it would look weird since she had already done it on the back of the hair which I could not see. She cut the crap out of my hair I will give her that! She seems skilled with the scissors but I don't like it. Maybe she is better with thinner hair and straight hair. My hair is very choppy and layered too high, the texturizing makes it frizzy and fluffy why simultaneously the making it stringy. I wanted a long flowy cut that could grow out nicely and be full a vivacious. My hair feels then an extremely short in some places. I didn't think she knew what I wanted and I should have stopped and discussed further but I was 10 minutes late and felt bad. Why can no one cut beautiful long flowy hair in Seattle!? Why you don't use thinning shears on wavy/ curly hair!!!! https://blog.scissortec.com/thinning-shears-on-curly-hair-risks/

Tone and trim
Makenna M.

Elyze was my stylist at Stan Parente and she was amazing! I asked to tone my hair to take out some of the brassiness and said that I was thinking about a trim but I didn't want to go much shorter because I've been trying to grow out my hair. She respected my request and only cut the dead ends. She also gave me some tips on how to keep my hair long. Salon was clean and I was helped right at the time of my reservation.

Honestly, one of the worst haircuts ever! No layers! it just looks gross!
Oana R.

Today was not good! I understand that they needed to make changes due to Covid, but they forgot to adjust the price! You wash your own hair at home, dash to the salon with wet hair, they cut it as you can see, then they send you back home with wet hair. No styling no blowout! They charge the same as if they delivered the full service. How the hell?! The haircut itself is pathetic! Granted, this "murder" was not committed by our regular hairdresser. I want my money back!

I liked the haircut by Larry. This is the best haircut I got in the US after moving from India. The ambience of this place is really good.

Which stylist would you recommend (has a lot of experience) for a blonde balayage on a darker brown hair without making it brassy? (Bellevue Salon!)

Polly is great! I have black Asian hair and have been seeing Polly for over four years. She's done soft brown balayage to platinum blonde balayage back to brown and then blonde again. Not once was it brassy or coppery!

I am new with this and I am looking for a place that does well with extensions. I have fine hair and not a lot and was looking for a place that does a good job and not crazy pricey. thoughts?

For the hundreds of dollars I spent a on a color, highlight and cut, I expected really good service. I had color all over my forehead and both cheeks. When I asked about the large circle on my forehead, I was handed a color off wipe so I could wipe the color off myself. Although the mark was more of a slight chemical burn. The stylist had completely forgot I booked a haircut until halfway through foils , so she did a quick dry cut after drying my hair before styling. I was there for about 5 hours and I left with a light shade of blonde in the back of my hair and a darker Caramel color in the front . When I got home I noticed I had some bleach bleeds in the back (she did not show me the back once) I showed photo and said I like ashy blonde and they toned me with 8G an 9NW - which means my hair was very gold/Carmel aka a tad orange. I don't mean to drag anyone in this review, but I want to be honest. There is nothing worse than spending a ton of money then go home and fix your hair, luckily in another life I worked as a hairdresser and am able to fix my hair , but not everyone can.

SoSo Club Hair Salon - I asked for angled bob, this was what I got. Ruined my progress of growing my hair out. Will never visit again.
