Have been seeing Bobby for years- but I absolutely hated my hair at my last Baliyage appt. I just saw him 2 months prior and 2 months later I was ready to become more blonde. i left there with bright orange hair I did a consultation with another specialist and she stated "wow! whoever did your hair was in a big rush and instead of doing Baliyage they did a very cheap thick foil maneuver with many blotches of the same color. No smooth transitions and no to very little toner usage." it took him 2 hours and 30 mins to do my thick set of hair. i felt like this time around he did not listen or care for what I wanted at all. I asked him for blonde statement frame around face, smooth out orange and smooth Baliyage blonde transitions like the photo I showed him- I did not get any of my expectations. i told him 100% I did not like it- he did not attempt to fix anything or offer to tone it down or even offer me a discount. I payed the entire bill and left crying because i was so upset with the entire situation and felt he was just rushing me through the appt. not listening to my wants or needs and just did what he felt was easiest for him. i will no longer be returning to this place as I do not trust his expertise or experience any further. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR TO BE RUINED AND BE EMOTIONALLY SCARRED. TL;DR: Chemical mishandling by hairstylist Homeira, she significantly DAMAGED my hair and caused me to lose HALF of my hair. I scheduled an appointment for only a haircut and hair treatment, when I got here, I asked the hairstylist to take a look at my hair's condition and her opinion about doing a color-retouch, the hairstylist named Homeira mentioned she doesn't have much time (about 1.5hr) but will still do try to do all three. After taking a quick glance at my hair, she started putting bleach on my hair. It was such a fast decision and not much conversation going on, I got worried and started asking some questions, she seemed annoyed so to comfort me, she hold my shoulder and gently told me my hair quality is good and healthy, that I should not worry. It did work, I calmed down and told her I'll leave my hair to her today because she's the professional. After finish putting on bleach Homeira put me under a heating machine for 25mins, meanwhile she was helping another customer so I had to sit there longer than I should be. When she finally came back to check on me, she didn't ask anything but to put me under the heat for another 15mins and went to help other customer again! After she rinsed my hair somehow she didn't even dry it so I had to walk back to my seat with hair dripping water. Now to think about it, she probably noticed my hair was falling already after the over heating and she didn't want to tell me about it. After she sat me down first thing she tried to do is to brush my hair. Right away I noticed a significant amount of hair falling and she immediately tried to hide the brush behind her back. I was so emotionally shocked and asking her what's going on, Homeira became very defensive saying she did nothing wrong and my hair was already very damaged so it is my fault. Another hairstylist joined conversation also blamed it all on me without even knowing the whole situation, and she even asked me to step outside the store because I "raised my voice", while HALF MY HAIR GONE AND HAIR STILL WET. Another stylist came out with Homeira and CORNERED me and started bullying me, saying that this is 100% my fault because my hair was so bad and started putting words in my mouth. No one was listening to me, no one was trying to find a solution after the damage was done. They were the ones that suggested I get the treatment with the chemicals, and they blamed me for everything. Homeira tried to make extra money by doing color-retouch, haircut and hair treatment all these three within 1.5hrs, so she RUSHED the entire process and caused me to LOSE half my hair. Not a single person apologized or offered to fix my hair. They kept talking over me, raised their voices, asked me to lower my voice or to step away, and then told me to leave the premises. The next day their manager contacted me, without apologizing she said three "professional" hairstylists already told her the "truth", so whatever I was trying to tell her, even though she wasn't there on that day, she would still trust her people 100% and believing it was all my fault, claiming my hair was self damaged. I asked for list of products to help repair my hair and she immediately said no and no negotiation. Seems they absolutely don't care about their customers at all. I cannot believe this is how a business handles things. When things are good, sure everyone would be happy and that's where all the good reviews are from, that's how I came to this salon in the first place. But if things go wrong they would immediately asking you to step outside, blaming it all on you and taking ZERO responsibility. Homeira is the worst hairstylist I've ever experienced in my life. I had my hair done all the time and spent so much time and money on it to look good, just because someone SO UNPROFESSIONAL and SO CARELESS to mistreated my hair once, now I'm spending a lot more money to maintain the half of the volume. Polly is a great stylist, very attentive and detailed in her service. I have only had positive experiences from the several times she has done my hair, from basic cuts to styling and dye-ing. I went in for balayage & root color, spent close to $400 and walked out more upset than I ever had from a salon. I booked the most expensive stylist (H) thinking she would be worth the money. She started a few min late, ended 15 min early and basically sent me home with the only thing I had said I DID NOT want- "copper hair". When I said it looks coppery she was defensive and blamed my hair instead of suggesting ways to fix it. Besides the hair, she had an attitude the whole time. Spoke maybe 5 sentences in the less than 2 hour appointment even when I tried to make conversation. It was uncomfortable & I should have left early on as it was not the relaxed experience I was expecting but I thought hopefully my hair will look right. Usually after a color, stylists have you leaving with your hair looking spruced up- curls, product, etc..I walked out with a quick dry, my hair looked worse than when I walked in. As a busy mom of two, I get my hair colored 2-3 times a year and look forward to it. Detail oriented is an understatement. Cut: Went for a lob (I know, common, but when you have had very long hair most of your life you definitely want the huge change to be done well). She spent so much time to carefully cut and texture my hair and did not go shorter than I expressed. I walked out feeling confident and in love with it. Update: I hate my hair cut, my hair is stringy and over texturized. Way to thin. I like my thick hair. Sick I didn't stop this woman from thinning the crap out if it. Polly cut my hair and I have very wavy thick hair. When I sat down I asked her NOT to use thinning shears on my hair because it breaks the curl pattern. Instead she went crazy with the shears, yes I should have told her to stop when I realized it but I get tired of having to tell stylists to stop it makes for an uncomfortable experience. I was also afraid it would look weird since she had already done it on the back of the hair which I could not see. She cut the crap out of my hair I will give her that! She seems skilled with the scissors but I don't like it. Maybe she is better with thinner hair and straight hair. My hair is very choppy and layered too high, the texturizing makes it frizzy and fluffy why simultaneously the making it stringy. I wanted a long flowy cut that could grow out nicely and be full a vivacious. My hair feels then an extremely short in some places. Stan Parente has great self serve appointment booking system and that's how I chose Oksana. Not only I liked her name, she was recommended by lady at front desk for haircut for long her. Oksana took time to understand what I wanted and she went in step by step to ensure I was liking what she was doing. She added some layers and told me that I could come back if I found it flattening and needed more layers (with no extra charge). Before leaving for my travel, I wanted to get brazilian keratin treatment done my hair but I had to cancel the appointment. When I enquired about the pricing again, they had increased 50 bucks ($250 from $200) for keratin treatment and I was a little disappointed. I'm contemplating to get my blowouts done. This review is for the hairstylist Homeira alone. I have been to Stan parente a few times before and loved their service. My first haircut here was with Polly and she was great and the next few times got my haircut with Brianna and she was awesome. This time I was in a rush to get a haircut and couldn't get an appointment with either Brianna or Polly so went with whoever was available and it happened to be Homeira. I saw that she was a master stylist and thought what could go wrong. But to my shock, she was very unprofessional, barely tried to make a conversation, everything seemed rushed and was in and out of the salon in 15min including hairwash and haircut. She didn't even bother to use a heat protectant before blow drying my hair which pissed me off. I can't believe I paid 100$ including tip for this mess, what a waste!! read more

Had a very strange experience here--My takeaway is to be VERY explicit about the price point. Haircut is extra (in my case, 75 extra). Also double check your receipt. So I called asking specifically for "all over color" (in verbatim) and was confirmed that the price point would not go over $85 with a newer stylist (explicitly scheduled the name of the stylist that would do my hair at this price point). I would like to say that I explicitly discussed the length of my hair and thickness with the person over the phone, so it was very clear that I wanted all over color. I also called three times about the price because I like to be 100% sure what to expect. I had my appointment with the aforementioned stylist. The stylist herself was great, I was happy with my hair and she was very sweet and kind. However, I cannot bring myself to write a higher review despite that because I feel like what happened after was pretty unprofessional. When it came time to pay, I was initially charged $185. When I asked why there was a discrepancy in the stated price and what I had confirmed multiple times over the phone, the woman at the front desk stated that that was the price for "root color". I had never ever discussed root color with anyone, the length of my hair would have not become a discussion on the phone if this was the case. This was a bit sketchy to me. The second point was because of the haircut. Now, my stylist had cut my hair (which I think as courtesy you should be informed that a haircut is extra, besides, most salons I have gotten bayalage at--and I have been to many as I frequently dye my hair include hair and style in the color. But, even playing along with the haircut, she conceded to make it 155, which is still a $75 haircut add on. That's pretty expensive for a short baby trim on straight fine hair and some little layers. I think the most unprofessional part was that after deciding on 155 she still charged the card 185, so if it weren't for being alert and aware and picking up on that I wouldn't have seen that. read more

I originally came because of a Groupon deal, but my experience was so good that I came in a second time to the new location. The first visit was a balayage on very dark brown hair. My hair stylist bleached my hair and let me just say, she is so nice and talented! She was able to lighten it a lot, yet still made it look great despite the brassiness. It took a few hours, but I was really impressed with the results! My second visit was with a different stylist, and she was able to get my brassy tone to a very cool almost gray-blonde. And surprisingly, my hair looked softer and healthier than what I came in with! I looooooooove my haircut! I went to see Francine at the Bellevue location and she did a phenomenal job cutting my hair and my son's hair! At first, I was a little apprehensive since I didn't know what to expect since she was finishing up her apprenticeship, but she did a great job listening to what I wanted, gave us both great cuts and was very friendly and professional! After she cut my hair and and blow dried it, I could tell immediately that I loved the haircut, even before she styled it! In the past, I've had experiences where I would immediately restyle it myself after I left the salon, but not here. I loved the way she styled my hair with loose wavy curls and wanted to keep the style for as long as it would last! My son, being a typical 5 year old, was whining the whole time that he didn't want to get his haircut. She was patient with him and let him sit on my lap while she cut his hair which made him happy.
