This is my very first salon coloring experience and I was very scared. They could either do an amazing job or screw it up. I didn't want to be one of those customers that threw a tantrum about my hair. Because my hair is pretty much my life. I went in for a consultation and Kari was extremely sweet. She seemed to understand what I wanted so I trusted her and made an appointment. When I went in for my appointment, she got started immediately. She is an extremely friendly and sweet person. I don't think I've ever had such a nice conversation with a hair stylist ever. Long story short, she made my hair look absolutely A-MAZING. My hair feels healthy, comfortable, and the color is exactly how I wanted it to be. Oh, she also gives one killer head massage. It might've been to rub the shampoo in but still, it felt great! I got a balayage and it was $100. I think it was completely worth the money. As an Asian with pretty much virgin black hair, I noticed that while I was there for the 2 hours, I was still the only Asian. I'm not saying they are racist, but, if you are Asian and looking for a good salon, this salon will take care of your dark hair. Trust me. They know what they are doing. I'm definitely coming back to get my hair colored whenever I'm back in Seattle.

While my cut there wasn't perfect, I did at least get a boring version of what I requested -- a style cut short and flat against my head on the left side, gradually lengthening in the back like a short rounded cap that hugged my head and tapered to the nape of the neck, and left long on the right side of my head but shaped to encourage the resulting deep wavy locks to hang languidly over and shade that side of my face. Like, drama. The stylist followed my instructions literally, but she failed artistically to create the look, or mood, I wanted. At least she did a decent job rather than ruin my hair, as too many clients in reviews of Winslow had complained. How hard is it to find a stylist who actually listens to what clients say.

She was able to color correct a botched job at another place. She was super detailed in getting all of my hair foiled without leaving gaps (even the underneath) which is not easy to do. She gave me a beautiful blended blonde with the "money piece" (light piece in the front) exactly how I asked. She also did an amazing hair cut that frames my face so well. The best hair color, cut, and demeanor I have ever experienced when getting my hair done. She is also very kind, patient, listens to what the customer wants, and makes the whole experience very stress free and comfortable. She is also very fair and honest with the pricing. Thank you so much for doing such an incredible job on my hair!

I was referred to this salon via a Bellevue mom's page and then Clark (the owner) recommended Jung via Instagram. Two days prior to my appointment, I messaged Jung and we spoke about what I was looking to achieve. I was all over the place with what I wanted and Jung was able to decipher what I wanted AND needed thoroughly - all via text! I was so impressed. From the moment I arrived at Clark Beauty Evolved, Jung met me with enthusiasm, cheer and a true sense of calm. She was very genuine and I could tell instantly that she cared for her clients. Throughout my time at the salon, Jung peppered our conversations with hair care knowledge, facts and ways to help improve my hair. I have NEVER had a hair dresser help me in this way before. She gave me usable knowledge to further the longevity and strength of my hair. It wasn't pushy at all and came from a space of care. I felt that Jung was well studied in her knowledge and she was passionate about her job. I brought 2 books into the salon and even made sure my headphones were charged. I suggest some face frame layers starting mid cheek level & Adrienne advised she's be happy to do that but starting higher like what I described would require a bit more work than what I would commit to daily. She suggested starting more jaw level for the layers & I'm so happy we did that The salon is located inside Mosaic & is easy to locate. I appreciate the free 2 hour parking as I hate driving around searching for parking spots in busy downtown Kirkland.

Recently I had a very-new-for-me hair coloring with Nadya (very dark blue-violet, merging with my natural black) and will highly recommend her. She has a great taste and is able to foresee a stylish solution for your type of hair, give a valuable advice and, no question, execute the selected version in very much accuracy. She devoted as much time as necessary to reach the final tone, until her and my complete satisfaction. To my knowledge, Nadya regularly participates in internationally known styling workshops and meetings, and, in combination with long years of experience, she obviously has refined her skills in fashion hairstyling and coloring. She is the owner of the Salon and I observe that similar standards are in place for the other members of the team. One indication as how much I appreciate her skills, is that once in couple months I drive to Salon Unmixed from North Seattle, where I live and work. And I have come to such a decision, after my experiences in several local high-end hair salons in Downtown and North Seattle. Go and try the unique hair coloring yourself. read more

Nadya has done an amazing job with my foil! I am very happy with the results. Here is the story: I found myself at an awkward transitional stage with my hair. I decided to stop dying it (dying is expensive, time-consuming, and not that great for one's scalp) and let my grey grow out. But what do I do in between? Walking around with roots screaming against the flat home-dyed chestnut-colored hair was not an option. Neither was cutting my hair really short. I consulted Nadya, thinking that, maybe, I would dye my hair blond while letting it grow out because I thought that blond would blend better with grey. Instead, very cleverly, Nadya recommended highlighting foil that would blend with my salt-and-pepper grey and is much gentler on one's hair than stripping dark color off entirely. The resulting look with the beautiful haircut of inverted bob (also by Nadya) is the best I have ever had. Not only it now looks natural with my roots, it looks elegant, soft, and shiny, and brings the blue/grey of my eyes out so nicely! I only ask myself why I did not do this earlier. read more

Salon Unmixed has been been my salon for almost five years and my experiences have always been top-notch. Whether you are interested in a cut, any type of color service, hair styling or eyebrow tint, you can expect the best service and outcome. Nadya (the owner) does an excellent job (but I have also had services from others from time to time.) Nadya is an expert men's hair cutter as well-- even for men with "hard-to-cut" hair. It is an Aveda Salon so they use Aveda's wonderful product lines and offer Aveda's proprietary services and treatments too. I have had their Smooth Infusion "keratin type treatment" with wonderful results. I highly recommend this salon! read more

Salon Unmixed is a very nice hair salon. The great place - stylish and reasonably priced. The salon is conveniently located and not too crowded. My favorite stylist is Nadya. She has a great taste and sharp sense of style. She also puts a lot of time and effort into every haircut she makes. I have a busy professional and family life - therefore I want the haircuts that look good and last long without too much effort on my side. That is exactly what I get at the salon - attention to my needs and a good quality and easy-to-care haircut that gets a lot of compliments from others. Bobbi Biondi is absolute magic. She always manages to get the color and cut just right! She's incredible with hair and she's very awesome to talk to. I've done my hair three times with her now and each time, it has been above and beyond. Today was my third appointment and I left super satisfied. I had come in (after trying a new stylist) and my hair was a tragic shade I hated. Bobbi was able to understand exactly what I wanted by only simple explanations and pictures. I've been going there for a few years - live in the neighborhood. I absolutely love the scalp massages given before the shampoo - they really know about hair and scalp health.
