Looking for a new hair style? This is it! In my opinion ALL the hairstylist from Clark are very professional, friendly, à la mode, trendy AND use high quality products. The only problem here is that not all of them are taking new customers, however if you ask them they will always let you know who can help you. My favorite is VU (check his IG account to get a free consultation). It is located in Houghton, next to the Metropolitan Market. Lots of parking spaces. The vibe of this place is trendy and cool!! read more

This is a review for Jung. It's been a long time since I've connected with an awesome hair stylist. I desperately wanted a hair cut and a fresh color and Jung delivered perfection! I was referred to this salon via a Bellevue mom's page and then Clark (the owner) recommended Jung via Instagram. Two days prior to my appointment, I messaged Jung and we spoke about what I was looking to achieve. I was all over the place with what I wanted and Jung was able to decipher what I wanted AND needed thoroughly - all via text! I was so impressed. From the moment I arrived at Clark Beauty Evolved, Jung met me with enthusiasm, cheer and a true sense of calm. She was very genuine and I could tell instantly that she cared for her clients. Throughout my time at the salon, Jung peppered our conversations with hair care knowledge, facts and ways to help improve my hair. I have NEVER had a hair dresser help me in this way before. She gave me usable knowledge to further the longevity and strength of my hair. It wasn't pushy at all and came from a space of care. I felt that Jung was well studied in her knowledge and she was passionate about her job. I brought 2 books into the salon and even made sure my headphones were charged. Never touched it once lol Jung entertained my chatty self and in other moments, she allowed me to relax in my own space and silence. Leaving the salon, I felt a sense of privilege. I felt privileged to crossed paths with this wonderful woman who so happens to be a hairdresser (hopefully my hairdresser for years to come). Best of all, my hair color was gorgeous. Leaving the salon confident, renewed and taken care of - I would definitely recommend Jung. read more

Coming to see Lana was the best decision I have ever made in my hair history ever. I've always wanted full and thick mermaid hair and was never able to achieve that from genetics and bad hair dressers lol The hair extensions I purchased from the salon are top quality. Extremely thick from top to bottom to allow seamless transition. I got 22" hair extensions done by Lana and I will never go to anyone else ever again. The salon is very cute - and Clark assisted me in blending my haircut and helping me blend and tone my hair color to match the extensions. Attention to detail for the small difference he pointed out is so appreciated. Every detail matters and they seem to care a lot about their work. Lana took her time in installing my two rows. Her work is clean and meticulous. I 200% appreciate the time she took on my hair. I am shy and not big on talking during my appointments - but she made me feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the whole appointment. She was upfront about the pricing and I was not surprised on what my total costs were at the end. I asked lots of questions prior to my appointment so my expectations were clear and understood. I recommend anyone looking for extensions to come see Lana. I promise you - it is SO WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Thank you Lana and Clark! See you in a couple months. :-) read more

This view is for VU I am a long-time client of Vu. I always refer Vu to anyone looking for a top-notch stylist. Vu has worked with some elite stylists worldwide and has a wealth of experience in the industry. I love that he is thorough when asking questions about the style I want to achieve, then repeats it to ensure I get the finished product I came for. There has not been a time sitting down for a cut that I am nervous or have doubt that it won't turn out how I want it to. Aside from being very talented, his personality makes him so lovable by all his clients and peers. I always leave Vu's chair happy and my abs sore from laughing so much. Vu is unique, and you won't be disappointed to have him as your stylist! read more

Vu has been cutting and coloring my hair for over half a decade. His work is AMAZING! In 2020 (before my wedding) my haircut was messed up by another stylist (not at Clark Beauty). Vu somehow fixed my haircut so I could look and feel the best in my wedding photos! For my balayage, I only go 2x per year. Vu's balayage is so natural and beautiful that it never looks grown out (prior to Vu I was getting foils done and needed to go 4x+ a year. I can't recommend Vu enough! read more

WARNING ‼SCAM‼ SCAM ‼SCAM‼ Please read before you PROCEED! They are the ultimate scam couple! I had seen them 8 months prior and they had only charged me $1k for color & installation. I proceeded to make another appointment which communication is via DM (horrible communication) wouldn't even respond for days. I go to my appointment, sit there in the chair for about an hour before even getting my hair done, then they proceed to work on me and other clients heads throughout the day. After my 9-10 hour day sitting in a chair. I get up to pay, Clark proceed to write down on a piece of paper $900 & $1900 I asked what that meant he told me my hair costed $2900 (I THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE) I asked for what...he told me that it's because I got 4 rows of tracks instead of 2... Never have I been to a salon anywhere in all of my worldly travels getting extensions in my head for the past 18 years have I ever paid $1000 for installation let alone $1900 I was in utter shock and disbelief...they absolutely sliding scale uou and target you if they think you have money, I ASKED LANA DIS HER PRICES GO UP AMD IF THEY DID WHY WOULD AHE NOT INFORM ME OF THE CHANGE, she told me her prices go up every 3 months with popularity of the stylist?!?! What?!?! So basically your telling me that I'm the year 2025 your going to be charging $12,000 for installation!?!? They avoided every single one of my questions! HOW DO YOU NOT INFORM A CLIENT OF A 300% inflation "she told me I should have asked... NO YOU SHOULD HAVE A SIGN ON YOUR ESTABLISHMENT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FRONT DOOR OR STATION MIRROR STATING CLEARLY OF SUCH A "SUBSTANTIAL PRICE INCREASE" they knew my desperaty and urgency to get my hair done and took complete and total advantage of me as a client! I FEEL COMPLETELY VICTIMIZED AND THROUGHLY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND IF THEY THINK YOU HAVE MONEY THEY WILL MAKE UP WHATEVER PRICE THEY WANT FOR YOU! Watch out and beware!!!!!! Don't get bamboozled like I did people work way to hard for they're money and don't deserve to be treated like this!!!!! Stay safe out there these people are GREED DRIVEN AND HAVE LOAT THEYRE MINDS CHARGING PEOPLE $3000 for hair, I'm sure BEYONCÉ DOESNT EVEN PAY THAT MUCH! My hair is so thin they damn near tried to force they're hair done my throat do they didn't use all my hair I usually get 5-7 tracks put in my head, they said they only put 2, and not to mention my natural hair and extensions are completely mismatched! read more

Clark Beauty Evolved - Mismatched 2 tone hair for $3000? My extensions don't even - Hair Salons Near Me - Kirkland, Washington

Overall, I had an amazing experience with the team at Clark Beauty Evolved. Some highlights: - I was a little skeptical with going to a salon during COVID, but my color was growing out and my ends were giving me a hard time. Right when I arrived, my temperature was taken and there was plenty of hand sanitizer provided. There were also plastic panels dividing each hair station, which I thought was a great safety measure. - My hair stylist was Lena, and she did an amazing job! I pretty much went in with no plan - my only requirements was that the hair be less thick and the length be no shorter than collar bone length. Even with these little instructions, she gave me just the cut that I was looking for! I'll definitely be returning for any hair cut and color needs. - Booking an appointment took less than a 5 minute phone call. The salon was spotless. The team was super welcoming and nice as well. I just loved the overall environment of the salon. Parking was also really easy and quick to find. I think I've found my go-to salon! read more

Had to come on Yelp to give Lena a shout out! Came here to fix a bad blonding job at a previous salon. I originally wanted to go blonde, and come back to do a fashion color, knowing that these fade quickly. I wanted a blonde that I would enjoy after the color faded. Only 5 weeks after my first appt at the other salon, and my hair was pretty much orange!! (Check my before/after photos) I thought a simple tone would fix this so I went to Clark Beauty for help. The day of my appointment, Lena really took the time to assess my hair, and what went wrong in my previous appointment. Instead of moving forward with the toning appt, she explained that I would not be able to achieve my ultimate hair goals with that alone, and recommended that I come back for a full color correction. We would get to the blonde I was hoping for, and then go for the fashion color. She was in no way pushy but really took the time to listen, and clearly laid out my options to let me decide. Fast forward a week, and I'd taken a half day to spend 5-6 hours getting it all fixed. Lena was so patient, meticulous and genuine in trying to get me back to the blonde I was hoping for, while still keeping the health and integrity of my hair in mind. She picked out all the white blonde pieces so those wouldn't fry, died the orange/black pieces and 5 hours later I was a new person. The purple will eventually wash out but I'll be left with an actual blonde (not orange!!) that I love. I felt super comfortable with her the whole time, not anxious at all that my hair would be botched again. There may have been some teary eyes when I thanked her. If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, and really cares about the end result rather than making a quick buck, this is the place to be! read more

I wish I had a before picture but just think long, dark, unremarkable Asian hair! I first need to mention that I have never received so many compliments on my hair, EVER until now. I found Clark on instagram and DM'd him right away after seeing his work. Communication via DM's was very prompt! I initially came in with just a photo of the color I wanted, not thinking about what kind of cut I'd want. Clark, being the professional he is, took his time to get to know me and my usual hair routine in order to figure out what style was best for me. I told him I had bad experiences with "layers" previously but he convinced me that with the right layers I could still keep the length and look of fullness in my hair just without all the extra weight. That's exactly what he gave me! I'm so used to seeing "thinning shears" at Asian salons but Clark hand cuts every section of your hair. As for the color it turned out even better than I could've imagined Clark also encouraged me to style my hair instead of just tying it up everyday. I watched him closely when he curled my hair, asked him for some tips and with some practice I've been able to recreate the same look at home. I highly recommend Clark especially if you have virgin hair--you'll be in good hands! He and his adorable wife (who's also his assistant) will take good care of you :) read more

Heard about this salon because I follow Clark on Instagram and couldn't wait to check it out! I saw Clark 5 years ago and he changed my life with my first balayage! I saw that one of his stylist (Sam) had a last minute opening and jumped at the opportunity. I am so grateful that Sam was able to get me in last minute. I'm terrible at booking in advance. Sam did an amazing job listening to my hair needs and making sure she understood what I wanted. She was super fun to talk to and made sure I was comfortable during the process. Her dedication to your happiness is her top priority and she made sure I left feeling amazing about my hair! Can't thank you enough Sam! YOU ARE AWESOME! read more

My daughter and I have been going to Vu for many years. He really takes the time to listen to what you want and provides much feedback for you to understand if it's feasible. I've had my hair done by various hairstylists over the course of my adulthood and never could find one that I felt I could commit to with my hair, until I met Vu 8 years ago at Obadiah Salon. I've been a loyal client since then, and I must say, he's absolutely talented. Vu is an expert stylist, and I trust his advice implicitly when it comes to my hair! The best part is that he always takes the time to explain different styles I'm interested in trying, which is a big plus for me when I'm on the fence about trying a new look but needing change. On top of being incredibly talented, Vu is personable and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere during every visit. Without a doubt, he's a true gem in the hairstyling world - I've always left the salon extremely pleased with my hair! Just went to Clark for the first time. 5 stars for the professional service! He is a true gem from A-Z. Perfection in color, styling, and an overall kind person. Clark has been doing my hair for a couple years now (I scrounged around IG for a new stylist when my old one moved away) and I am SO HAPPY I found him. Clark is a perfectionist and will take as much time as he needs to get everything just right. I get SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my hair and I absolutely love they way it grows out. The results speak for themselves! I had the best experience at Clark's. My hair stylist was Jung Lee. She was super thorough and professional. I showed her my inspo pictures and she 100% was able to achieve the look. I've always had long silky virgin black hair and Jung was able to lift and tone to the beautiful ashy color I longed for! I absolutely love my hair. She helped me understand the up keep process and recommended great affordable treatment at home. Clark is a God send! He works magic on my hair. Reasons why I love his service - 1. He is very knowledgeable, an expert in his field. 2. Friendly 3. You just have to show a reference picture and he knows what you're talking about. Not only that, he brings you back to reality on how that'll look on you and suggest customizations. I usually tell him I want to go lighter/darker in the tones I want and just completely trust his process and let him work his magic. I've received so many compliments for my cut and color. After moving to Seattle from India, I had a hard time picking a stylist that knows how to work south Asian hair. I saw Clark's profile on Instagram and instantly knew he'd understand my hair. I first went to him in 2018 and have never looked back! Going from Seattle to Kirkland just for his appointment is totally worth the hike! Thanks, Clark read more

Vu is the hair god! Before going to Vu, my hair was fried and the wrong shade of blonde. Not only did Vu create blonde magic on my hair for my wedding, he also gave the best hair advice in getting my hair healthy and to the length I wanted a few months in advance. I have been continuously impressed with his color and cuts on my blonde hair. I have been to many hair colorists and stylists in Seattle at many high end salons and Vu beats them all out of the park. I found Clark through Instagram (this was when he was still working at Obadiah). I've always admired that wavy, natural wavy tousled wave that is famously done by hair stylist Ahn Co Tran in LA. I was thrilled to see a hair stylist in Seattle could cut hair in that fashion. The only hair stylist that could cut hair like that was my old stylist Jake who is unfortunately no longer part of this world. I've only had haircuts done by Clark but the cuts and layers are always on point! There is no doubt that he is a very talented stylist and glad that he started his own salon due to a very popular Instagram following. Highly recommend! read more

Clark is the only stylist I've ever trusted 10000% with my hair in my whole life, and I am extremely, over-the-top, unhealthily obsessed with decisions involving my hair. I've loved every hair cut and color I've ever had from Clark, and most recently I got a hair smoothing treatment. As someone who has tried Japanese permanent hair straightening, Brazilian blowouts, and everything in between without ever being satisfied (treatments either didn't last long despite dishing out hundreds, or they were super damaging to my hair, or they SMELLED like chemicals until the treatment was totally washed out), I can confidently say this was THE best smoothing/straightening treatment I have ever had. It's pricey, but it's worth every penny. Clark understands hair. Go to Clark. read more

After moving to the States from Canada I spent about a year searching for the right hair artist, and I was LUCKY to find Clark! He knows hair, not only Asian type, but all types and most importantly he knows what to expect when you lift the color and how to fix all this rusty orange/yellow mess when it starts oozing out. He knows how to blend the roots and make soft transition from dark to light. He knows how to keep your hair healthy, soft and silky after 6 hours of processing. He can easily do classic, but at the same time he can bring any modern trend alive without any difficulties. For me personally he camouflaged tonnes of my grey hair around my face in such a way it looked perfect weeks and weeks after it was growing out. Hands down he is the BEST on the Eastside!!! read more

Clark is a true master of his craft. He IS the best in all of the West Coast! I've been to many many high end salons all around LA and WA, nothing compares to him! He is curating an amazing team of talented artists, watching them advance in techniques so quickly while working in his salon just speaks volumes to his talent, and dedication to spread his knowledge to other artists! You really can't go wrong with any of the stylists here. I've been a client of Clark's for about 4 years now, and he's stuck with me for life! He is SO honest about what is going to work best for YOU, what's realistic and what's not, he will not steer you wrong. Not only is he a master artist with your hair, but he truly cares about YOU, and that YOU leave his chair feeling like a whole new woman, and your best self! I found this salon through Instagram and landed on the stylist Jung to do my hair. Overall, I am super happy with my choice of the salon and stylist, and even more happy with the results of my hair! She is very experienced and knowledgeable on questions I had on balayage on my virgin black hair. Jung did a fantastic job on finding out exactly what I wanted and was able to deliver it perfectly! She is one of the best stylist I've worked with. Not only did she make sure she was able to deliver what I wanted, she made sure I knew how to care for my hair after leaving the salon since it is bleached. Additionally, the salon is also very modern and chic! I was very impressed with the salon for the cleanliness and amenities it offered such as tea, coffee, candy, and cookies. Great hair cuts and great service. I'm Asian and it's hard to get a great hair cut but here is the one place I come moving forward.

I booked an appointment online for a blowout here, and after I arrived to check in, the staff allowed me to sit in the waiting area for 20 minutes, before telling me that they would not be able to honor my appointment, as I should not have been able to make an appointment online and no one was available. Do you have hair as dark as night? Do you want it to be lighter than a unicorn's mane? Go to Clark & Lana and they'll get it done in one session. I have had zero breakage, one million compliments, and haven't had to break the bank to achieve all of this. Clark & Lana expeditiously work to get you the results you want, all the while, level-setting expectations for the things that you have to do to maintain it: invest in purple shampoo, hair masks to keep it healthy, and most importantly NOT over coloring it. I only have to go to these guys 2x a year to keep things looking amazing. I go 3 times if I have a special trip or big event.
