Came for late lunch on Saturday. Not crowded. We sat outside and had a few different people wait on us. Menu is on the smaller side but plenty of options and would definitely go back to try different ones. Also had a good non alcoholic beer which I appreciated.

Treat yourself to some beautiful fine dining here! The leek filled pasta was so yummy. So many good options on the menu for food and drinks.

Good selection of German drafts. The food was the real surprise, though -- especially the Schweinshaxe for me, skin crackling-crisp and the meat still moist underneath. It hit the mark and reminded me of the Biergartens I visited in Berlin. Attentive service, proper pub vibes, charming neighborhood.

Authentic German eatery in Portland with a large selection of authentic german beers, including some that are hard to find. The bratwurst and rinderbraten were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Visit Stammitsch if you are looking to be transported to Germany.

This is a great bar if you like Bavarian lagers and ales. Housed inside of a beautiful brick building they offer staple draft pours from the motherland and some NA options. The food is standard German fair that's decent, but the bar is primarily focused around their drinking menu. The sausage sausages are good but as far as the food goes, it's just all right

First time here and it was a cool friendly spot. We sat at the booth. Restaurant gives a rustic pub vibe. Beers were great and food was delicious. Takes me back to Germany! Most food were heavy and filling. Definitely come with friends and family here :) TV in the center to watch the World Cup too. Parking can be hard for this fun neighborhood.

The German Beer is superb. Served cool in the right glasses, excellent. Unfortunately the "German" food is not as good as it should be. Spätzele noodles were served to us literally burned and charred black. Disgusting, Horrible and so wrong. That should never have left the kitchen. a cook also dropped a box of salt in the Red cabbage. So salty my tongue is still burning. A disgrace. Roast beef was also terribly over salted and very dry. Drink the beer but food is pathetically bad.

Bit more of a pub vibe than a restaurant but they have plenty of great sounding dishes I haven't heard of tho I don't have much experience with German food besides schnitzels & wursts. We happened to come in during HH (weekdays 3-5) so we got a bretzel w/ beercheese of course ($8) and bratwurst served w/ sauerkraut, mustard & pickle spear ($9). The sauerkraut was a tad sweet IMO but the brat was juicy and tasty. We also got the Schweinsaxe (I think?) which was an enormous pork shoulder hunk w/ nice fried crackling skin on the outside & comes w/ red cabbage and spaetzl. Def recommend sharing this big boy. It was good and all but I wish there was a bit more flavor to it than just meat flavor. The only thing for me is I find German beers to all be a bit too sweet for me as someone that likes stronger beers like IPAs but not dark beers much.

Good, authentic German food. The service was also great. Sort of a small restaurant, so we opted to sit in the corner of the bar to shorten the wait. I think the bartender took pity- comped my wine just because. Great experience overall and would definitely come back!

This is pretty German food! The ambiance is cozy and friendly. We went here for dinner date night and was pleasantly impressed. The staff is prompt and efficient. They offer a great variety of German beers and in different sizes. I would try one of their beers, they come in different glasses depending on what kind. The soft pretzel was so good, amazing. Comes with a spicy seed mustard and pork fat? Not used to that type of spread but I could eat 5 of those pretzels by myself. I ordered the weiner snitzel and a side of spatzel because I love spatzel. This was on the best, buttery, soft and slightly crisp. The snitzel was delicious, crisp and perfectly cooked with a side of carrot salad. My husband tried the pork knuckle and it was good but pretty salty. The size is enough for two people. I would definitely come back and try more dishes and beers! Prost!

Run, don't walk, for the Schweinshaxe. The crispy skin was exquisite. I also really liked the schmaltz with the pretzel.

We are typically brunch people, making it here most often on a Saturday or Sunday for a late brunch. Their benedicts are to die for... truly, they're all wonderful. Their Laser Potato is out of this world. Truly, my favorite item on their menu. It is fabulous in all ways. I often take a side of it home just to enjoy later. We recently tried them for dinner. Their muscles are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Truly, the best I've ever had. This beats living in the southeast on the coast, any west-coast seafood restaurant, and every place I've ever enjoyed in Italy. They've certainly topped the muscle game. Highly recommend Olympic Provisions. I will gladly vouch that the negative reviews are from the haters, just to hate. The overall experience has never been anything less than fantastic. Photos to follow (hopefully, if I can find them! HA!) Enjoy OP next time you're in PDX!

My gf had never been though we lived near for years. We got the onion rings to start and have never had rings like this. Their dipping sauce was super tasty. They were huge and almost a meal. The crunch on the was fantastic and the onions cut as you bit into them, not one pulled out. We split the chicken and waffles. Chicken just perfect and crunchy and the crunch is seasoned as well. One of those meals you shake ur head the whole time hoping the flavors won't stop. The portion was big and glad we split it. The waffle was crunchy and big. The cup of stew was very tasty as well.

Normally, I don't mind some more breading, but I also felt it was a tad too hard and salty. The texture of the waffle was also......hmmm, not terrible, but definitely not the sort of crispiness I want. More chewy than crispiness even when I first got it. My mom had special requests as usual, and this waitress was very nice as well, but the joint was not as accommodating as some others have been. They did have egg whites, but when she asked for more vegetables, the waitresses implied that the only vegetable they could provide was zucchini, and it could not be changed because......that's what the chef decided? After she got her entree (egg whites, cheese and zucchini?), my mom complained that her scramble was tiny, but got way too much toast. Looking at her plate, I feel like she had a point this time. I don't think this place is bad, but I've had a lot of good chicken and waffles in my time, and this falls slightly short imho.

Not even 1 minute later someone else who wasn't the host told us were in the wrong seats and asked us to move. This was weird and the first it has happened and the funny thing was that the seats were right next to the ones we were in but lower to the floor and less sight of the kitchen. While we obliged, it set up the dinner in an uncomfortable way. Our server was busy and was rushing us to get our drink order and said she would come back to get our food order. Once we ordered our food, I ordered the Hawaiian Opah and my colleague ordered the bacon wrapped dates and mushroom salad, we didn't hear or see from our server too often and at one point I had to hail her down to order a drink which took so long I ended to cancelling. The person who I assumed was the manager, came toward the end and said I didn't realize you were waiting and offered two cookies -- while I appreciated the gesture there were only 2 small ones and in some ways I would've been okay without it. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because the chef was very engaging and the food was tasty. Needles to say, because of the service, I definitely do not plan to return and would highly recommend you reconsider if you plan to go.
