The thing is the first time I was here the experience was very good. Both times the same guy…read moreserviced me I think his name was Festum. The first time everything went smoothly and he also offered me a discount which was awesome. The second time around no discount was offered and he tried to convince me that my Oil Drain Bolt needed to be replaced. I occasionally do my own oil changes, so I know that this is not the case. I did inspect the bolt afterwards, and it certainly didn't need replacing. The only conclusion that I can come up with is that they just wanted to upsell me on that, and it's not even a huge extra cost, it's just that certainly it's something that didn't need to be done, and I don't appreciate trying to be forced into something that's clearly a lie. I understand that these places make their money partially through upselling, and sometimes that's alright if it's concerning things that actually would help the vehicle like changing dirty transmission fluid, but not if it doesn't need to be changed! That's essentially, let's say a lower form of fraud.

So I found Dandy auto on kijiji. They were running a special on $49 out of province inspections. I…read moremade an appt over the phone and they fit me in really fast. They got our business for two reasons - 1. They were very reasonably priced. . 2. They were the only company I called that actually picked up their phone. ( Cassandra goes above and beyond to make sure all calls are picked up, shes super woman) I got my truck in, it took about 4 hours but they were really through. I got a small list of things that needed to repaired to pass inspection and they gave me a reasonable quote. My husband however used this as an excuse to try out a different shop that is run by a family member. So we came back to our re inspection. I was quoted 30-1 hour. About 15 minutes into it, I was pulled into the service bay to have a talk. The shop we had just taken our truck to botched our rear breaks and then tried to cover it up. Bryan the service technician carefully and in great detail showed me the damage. He explained what the other mechanic did and what he tried to do to 'fix' it. If you want to call it that. The break was a ticking time bomb and eventually I would have lost my breaks. I am so thankful to Bryan that he caught this and repaired it. So we ordered all the parts and he went away to work. Unfortunately the caliper bracket didnt make it to us on time and I had to wait (at no fault to them) for 7 hours with a toddler. Cassandra did everything in her power to make sure I had supplies to entertain my daughter. Everyone was so nice and forgiving that my tiny terror was running around and occasionally screaming. At the end of the day it became obvious that the part wasn't coming in time. Cassandra called around to get me a rental, but everyone was booked out. And do you know what? I was stranded. Bryan the tech DROVE US HOME. He totally went out of his way to help us, we didn't have very many options to get home. So they got the part this morning and fixed up the truck. It cost us nearly double what Dandy quoted us when it was all said and done. In hindsight we should of just let them do it. I'm so thankful for Cassandra, Bryan and the entire Dandy crew. Bryan will be the only person working on our truck from here on out.

They were recommended to me by W&B Automotive, when I bought my very first car and I needed Winter Tires. Don was extremely accommodating. Every time I have a flat and need a tire repair, they've always gotten me in right away and gotten it fixed immediately. Sometimes at no-charge even! My most recent experience was today. On Saturday I got a flat tire in Madden, AB and had to get AMA to come change my tire. I tried to get into Canadian Tire to have them fix it, and they told me the hole was "Too big for the plug" and that I needed to buy a new tire. And they were going to charge me a fortune for it because I have 17" low-profile tires. I took it in to Don this morning and he had a look at it and was able to fix it. I ALWAYS recommend OK tire to my friends and colleagues when they ask me where a good place to buy tires is. Even if they live in Calgary, the quality of service is well worth it.

These guys are horrible. Led by their "fearless leader" Jason G. the "CEO of Prairie Lube". ZERO…read morerespect for customers, and ZERO accountability when they screw up. My wife brought her car in for an oil change and while there the "technician" broke the oil dipstick off and it was stuck in the tube. My wife was not allowed out of her vehicle to inspect the damage, nor was she given any explanation on next steps or even a manger name to contact. She was told "if you come back during the week during daytime hours the manager will be here and he might be able to help". So it turns out there is a "design flaw" with my wife's car and this problem (dipstick breaking off) is fairly common. HOWEVER - the fact of the matter is, the dipstick broke off at the hands of a Mr. Lube technician. Any other business would have immediately said "Oh, we're sorry, let us give you your oil change "on the house" and that would have been that. But they didn't offer her any discount, nor did they offer any reparation or offer of help for the inconvenience. So my wife takes her car to the dealership and has to pay $200 for a new dipstick ad the labour to remove the broken one (since the car had to be put up on a hoist and the dipstick tube had to be removed to get the old broken one out). While they were working - they found that Mr. Lube had not filled her oil back up. She was over 2 litres of oil low. So they also had to top up the oil that my wife paid FULL PRICE for already. She contacted the store manager and he was extremely rude to her, unhelpful and basically told her that the issue was a "known issue" with the car, and she was on her own. At the end of the day - it was our choice to bring the vehicle to another shop for repair - HOWEVER, an offer SHOULD have been made to refund the oil change (as it wasn't completed) and an extra step would have been to offer replacement cost for the dipstick itself. (only an $18 part) THAT would have been good customer service. But as it stands, my wife has been playing back and forth with the store manger there for over a month - he keeps giving her the run around and finally stopped calling her back all together. So she filled out the "Mr. Lube" survey which simply goes to the same management group "Prairie Lube" and now she's been in touch with another douche nozzle known as the "business development manager" that is talking down to her and making excuses for why they broke the car saying "it's a known issue" and that there will be no refund, and no reparations at all. Apparently that is the final word. So Mr. Lube, and your franchisee "Prairie Lube" - I hope you're reading this. Because of a lack of empathy and any sort of ownership of the problem, as well as a lack of a simple solution (refund of oil change is all my wife asked for) you've lost not only one customer but two. We will no longer be bringing any of our vehicles to Mr. Lube for service of any sort. We will be telling all of our friends and family, and I will no longer be bringing my service vehicle to Mr. Lube either, I will also make sure that our fleet manager knows what lousy service you provide I should mention that the 'biz development manager" from Prairie Lube, did offer a "free oil change" coupon as part of his last EXTREMELY rude email...but really - after all of this do they really think we will EVER be back? Not impressed, at all. I hope losing business was worth not refunding the $70 for an incomplete oil change.

Everything was explained to me very clear and they did try the usual upsell on tranny fluid flush and front diff flush but i politely said no thanks and there was no hard sell. They adjusted my tire pressure, cleaned the windshield and back window, lubed the doors and filled up my washer fluid. All in all i was happy. Price was similar to dealer but i was in and out quick. I would consider using them again, especially with the discount given on yelp ($15).
