They professionally reinstalled it, replaced the supply line and made sure everything was level. They also noticed that the flooring guys didn't reinstall the dishwasher correctly so I asked them to fix that. It was never going to work the way it was. It was a nice catch on their part and they were willing to stay longer to get it installed correctly. Nice job guys! Also their scheduler, dispatch and tech tracking is all top notch. Everyone I dealt was professional and courteous. They even squeezed us in on short notice.

You would think that the objective of a small business is to make money (or at least stay in…read morebusiness). With that attitude, I'm surprised that they are still in business under Dathan's leadership. Long story - I bought an induction cooktop at Airport Appliance (AA). Their in-house installers couldn't install it for some reason. I was referred to this third-party vendor. My sales associate (SA) had them contact me and I was on the phone explaining the situation with Dathan. I would say his customer service is great when he is trying to sell you his services. He was knowledgeable. Brought up how his installation prices were a little cheaper than AA. He even told me they used to be the in-house installers, but AA wanted them to wake up at like 4am to pick up the product at their warehouse and then go install it. Since they were all family men, they decided just to be the go-to if AA couldn't do it. We talked on the phone initially on Aug 18th (see pics for call log and minutes). We went over what was going on and there was some confusion with what was the actual problem. He said he would contact my SA to see what the issue was. Dathan also sent me out two initial quotes to look over and e-sign. My SA got back to me and said that they talked and wanted pictures of the wall behind my oven. I sent them and he said I would need a junction box installed and Dathan's company could do it, but it was going to be expensive (please see pic). After looking for other vendors, we decided to go with Proappliance because they were already recommended. I called back Dathan on Sept 11 to make sure we were on the same page before I signed the quote. He asked me to refresh his memory about what needed to be done. I told him that I knew it would probably be expensive, but I just wanted it installed no matter what the price. I signed the more expensive of the two quotes expecting it to be more in the end. The quote had included electrical work. I didn't want an on-site review because we already knew what needed to be done. Our in-home installation day comes and the two workers arrive. My husband was there to greet them. I was working so this is all hearsay from him. The installers said that we needed an electrician to come by in order for them to completely install the unit. My husband called me and I was so confused. I had specifically told Dathan what the issue was. At no point did he tell me that we needed to have an electrician come out to do that part before they could install. The installers said that they could still do it, but the electrician would have to finish the work and there was no guarantee that he would undo any of the work that they would have done. In that case, I declined the installation. My husband said that the interaction was very cordial. One of them even asked my husband if he could take a picture of my Beware of Dog sign. They told us that there was a 75 dollar fee for the on-site consultation, but my husband said that he wouldn't pay that until we got things squared away. There must have been some kind of miscommunication because we were told that they could complete the electrical work and installation. I get a call and voicemail from Dathan. A little bit later he emails me a bill for $95 dollars ($20 more). My husband wanted to talk to him. When he called him, he could already tell that Dathan was on the defensive. We would consider him confrontational and basically tried to blame it on me (the wife). He stated that he remembered that he told me we needed a circuit breaker, but that ridiculous because we wanted a one-stop shop and would never had hired him if he couldn't complete the whole job. They went back and forth for a while, and sometime during the conversation he asked my husband to recall what happened that day again, and my husband ask him how he was able to recall a conversation that happened a month ago, but not one that happened today? Things just didn't add up. I feel like he got so fixated on getting paid. I just spent 3k on a cooktop so 95 dollars is not important to us. It's mainly the principle behind it. I would think that you would want to have the customer satisfied so they keep coming back to you and referring friends for your services. In the long run, he got his 95 dollars, but lost out on at least 4x that much on the installation and thousands more on possible referrals. To me, the best case scenario would have a been a simple phone call to say there was a misunderstanding, and we apologize that we couldn't install your cooktop, but we have a list of trusted electricians that can help you, and afterwards we can come back and finish the installation. A portion of the 75/95 dollar fee could be used towards the installation in order to give the customer an incentive to return. Obviously he doesn't think that way and now we will never be using his services again. I will also be telling my SA at Airport about my experience with him.

His prices are very reasonable and the $65 fee for diagnostic basically included all my appliances. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and came back once the parts came in. He did a great job. One other thing I'll say is that Jim is very conscientious and wants to do a good job. On my subzero, when he diagnosed the issue, he noticed that a previous person had almost cut through one of the tubes and when he touched it, he could see that it needed repair. He repaired it and didn't want to charge me anything (even though it wasn't his fault). I insisted on paying. At any rate, Jim is great and I'll be calling him again for any issues with my appliances.

They didn't have the replacement part on hand, and so had to go out and get one -- but they were able to come back less than 2 hours later with the replacement part in hand. Initially, they wired up the motor incorrectly, but were able to figure this out in a matter of minutes. My microwave's turntable is now working correctly. Since the oven was heavy, moving it out of its housing was a 2-person job, which understandably doubles the labor costs. The total price for the replacement part and their service was $429, which was reasonable.

Tested and True (previously JMC electric) did an amazing job on my home back in October 2025. They…read moreinspected my home for an issue, found the root cause and fixed it with a new panel and 2 new circuits for my kitchen. They also installed an electric car charger for me as well as an automatic bathroom fan, both of which have worked perfectly since the installation. I've waited 6 months since work was complete to write this and can attest that their work is indeed tested and true. Above all else, Jon and his team are Thorough and Honest. I called the team out because I believed I had unreliable kitchen circuits because of knob and tube in my house and an old electrical panel that I thought needed to be replaced. Why did I think this? Because a previous home inspector and another electrician had told me these things. Jon and Joaquin did a thorough job of checking my entire home and found that the knob and tube I had in my home had been abandoned, the panel was old, but fine, and that my newer subpanel was a fire hazard. They also found that the electrical issues that I had were because the thicker wire kitchen circuits were wired to a thinner wire circuit in my attic which was causing my breaker to trip. What was quoted to me by a prior electrician as a $40,000 to remove my knob and tube ended up being about $4,000 for a new subpanel and two new dedicated circuits for my kitchen. My house is old and the job ended up being full of new problems. The team handled everything professionally and kept me up informed along the way, even staying late on two nights to make sure they left my house in a habitable state between workdays. Thanks to the Tested and True crew, I can finally run my waffle maker, boil water, grind coffee beans, cook on an electric griddle, and operate a toaster oven all at once without tripping a breaker. Thank you to Jon, Joaquin, and the rest of the Tested and True team for your reliable work and for bringing the fun back to our Sunday mornings!

Unfortunately my first item from University Electric was installed by another company and I wish they had told me about XVM that time! When I requested to use another company for our fridge install, they sent me to XVM. With XVM, everything was seamless from start to finish. Stephanie, Juan, and his guys made the experience so easy and painless. They had great communication, confirming the day/time of install and were great at letting me know what to expect. They also gave me an estimate prior to installation so I would know approximately how much it would cost before. I found their price very fair and competitive. Payment is easy - many options including credit card, Zelle, etc. The other company had quoted me 2x as much (and they were cash only)!! When they came this morning to install, Juan and his guys were all professional, friendly, and kind. I felt bad as I had forgotten to move my car to the street before they arrived and then they had to move the heavy equipment they had already unloaded in the driveway so I could take my children to school. They were so kind about it and said it was no big deal at all. The installation itself was fast! Our previous fridge and new one are both large and heavy. They hauled the previous one away and installed the new one. Juan even vacuumed and wiped down the floor before installing the new fridge - which was awesome!! As our previous fridge was still usable, they were even able to bring it to my parent's home a few blocks away and install it there (for an additional fee). We are so grateful to XVM for such an easy, painless installation experience! When we replace our other appliances we will be sure to call XVM. Thank you again!!
