BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! Make sure you read all the reviews, where I wish I did! Glen is great at providing a competitive bid but he lacks attention to detail, very heavy handed with his pressure washer, DOES NOT Prep or Protect areas of concern, and will push his opinion because of supposed expertise. After making him aware that we just painted the house and retaining walls, within 20 minutes, he cracked the plaster and paint down the wall joint. He DOES NOT care about your home as his work and process supersedes your home. When confronted, he will claim that he's a concrete guy and not a maid and will leave debris splattered all over your home. He ultimately walked off the job with questionable work of the 50% that he did attempt to complete. We are now stuck with finishing the original concrete and wall cap job, while now trying to get all the damage he created to be repaired. For the savings he'll quote you, you're better off paying the extra cost with another company because you will be out of pocket repairing his work or collateral damage. We have doorframes ruined, freshly painted doors that need to be redone, and the retaining wall needs to be repaired and repainted since he cracked and left sealer drip stains all over the place. You would be wise to not call Glen for your project! Secondly, in response to Glen's unprofessional reply, which is exactly the type of in-person childish, selfish, and lack of compromising ability is exactly what you will encounter. Alerting him to the recent work done to your home and pointing out the damage that he is doing, isn't whining, that's articulating the damage he's causing due to his mediocre skill sets. Lastly, he was confronted in person which caused him to play the "my heart hurts and I'm getting frustrated and I don't want to get agitated" is exactly why he walked off the job. When you confront him, he will cower away from the situation, which then puts you as the homeowner at risk if he were to have an episode on your property as he consistently refers to the contract in a litigious manner. Also, complimenting a child doesn't necessarily mean it's good work. It's encouragement to hope for a better result or behavior. Again, BE VERY AWARE in choosing him for your services and read the other 3 and 1 star rated reviews. This isn't his first time having this type of review. BTW, the recent heavy rain washed away what he supposedly did do, so now everything he did has to be redone or repaired! read more

Staintec (Glen) did a concrete patio restoration/sidewalk and it turned out amazing! OMG What a difference! My patio had stains/ cracks and old post damage. It was just awful. Glen told me he could fix all of this. He was upfront with me about acid wash as people love it or hate it! I decided to go with it. Glen did an outstanding job on it But I just didn't luv the acid stain terra cotta color as it took away from my natural stone around my hot tub. Had to give it a try cuz I did luv the look from pics Glen showed me. So thankfully Glen redid it with a one color stain and I just absolutely luv it!!! He also included power washing my block wall,driveway and did a wet stain on my stone. He did this as an extra for me and I really appreciated that. He even came back a week later and did a wet seal on my Rock border so I wouldn't have to do it myself and he did this for free. If you have maintained your stamped concrete since day one, Glen is the perfect guy for the job. I had some weird stains that showed up on my 9 year old stamped concrete patio. Those stains did not go away. They were sealed over and still visible. But Glen warned me that his process would either look good or not pleasant many times. The parts that weren't too badly worn turned out very nice with very minimal sealer rainbow hazing. Nothing I can do about that evidentially. To be fair, Glen was up front and honest from day one. But be sure to show him an example of what results you want rather than just explain. Had I known I was getting a slightly shinier version of my faded color stamped concrete patio, I probably would have passed on his services or anybody's for that matter. One thing that did bother me, and it explains my rating, is that there was no precautions to old sealant debris being sprayed all over my newly painted house. Glen uses a pressure sprayer and this launched dirty black old sealant skin onto my eaves, walls, window sills, and patio furniture that was 15 feet away. It won't wash off or fleck off with a toothbrush. Glen attempted to wash it off my walls but the high psi water started to remove the stucco off my walls. I now have to repaint the effected areas and repair the stucco. Glen was quick to point these areas out to me and explained why he didn't want to attempt to remove the debris from my walls just to avoid removing more stucco. He also adjusted the final price to make up for the accident. Glen is a great guy. He works hard, even in the near triple digit heat for 3.5 days. But if you are OCD about details like avoiding splattered dead dirty sealer skin everywhere, just be aware. Or maybe this would be good to discuss with Glen at the estimate stage. I might not have cared as much had I not had my house painted one week prior. Just ask a lot of questions. I wouldn't write Staintec off for that. read more
