While I still talking to the owner trying to ask questions about the inspection, I noticed his coworker is trying to lift my vehicle, I repeatedly asked him to stop lifting before I finished asking questions. He continued lifted the vehicle on the hoist. Then the owner says the brakes are not passing safety before he even checked the actual brake themselves. I asked what is the thickness of the brake is remaining made it failed. He did not answer. I asked again, he did not answer. I insisted multiple times, then he said it is not the brake. it is the rotors has rust on the side. Then he offered me a package to replaced all the brake pads and rotors. And told me it is only one hour left for getting the parts. I asked what is the quality and warranty of the parts he offered. He said it is good quality, initially stated it is lifetime warranty, I asked him to clarify what condition of the warranty, he then changed and said only 2 years of warranty. I asked if I can bring the parts for him to install, he said no. I ask if I can come back again with a new set of brake and rotor is installed to completed the inspection. He tried to dodge the question. At this time, he kept pushing me to order a new brake and rotor from him. I refused. He then said I need to pay him the full inspection cost before release the vehicle. All these happen within 5 minutes of the vehicle got inside the shop. Basically, he is taking my vehicle as a hostage at that moment with the vehicle hoisted. I asked he for a full inspection report. He said he will but provided nothing. I kept asking for a full report for his work, at the end, he wrote a six-words as an inspection, see the pictures. The whole time I was there were being pushed to install a new brake and rotor on the spot without knowing any details of the condition of the brake and rotor. Go me! Anyway, I took the Yaris in because the brakes were screaming and I didn't want them to stop working and make me the one to scream. Jimmy took care of me and the car and made some good recommendations for keeping her in good health going forward. Seems I've been a bit of a slacker, so the price tag was a tag high, but nothing was individually outrageously priced. When you put it all together (if I was clever I wouldn't have had to pay it all at once and could have done it over the year), my credit card was the one making the noise. Jim and his team fixed me up, though, all in the same day, and with a smile on their faces. Sitting in the garage smelling waiting room was actually pretty entertaining. There's a pamphlet, picture, or poster on practically every inch of wall space. I felt like a kid, twisting and turning to look at everything. Having an iPhone with Words With Friends on it didn't hurt either. All in all a great experience and I'll be back (not too long from now since I'm a responsible adult and all!)

I would not recommend these mechanics for any out of towners. As I was out of town and probably explains the high cost charges. ;(

In short, they somehow lost our tire rims. I recommend you take your car elsewhere…read more Long story: I've gone back and forth for a long time on whether to bother with leaving a review. We used the Garage for several years without issue, and always appreciated their work and professionalism. However, last fall, we brought our car in to have the winter tires installed. They have ALWAYS been on their own separate set of rims. When the car was in the shop, Jeremy called me to tell me the tires were worn out, so we elected to purchase new ones and have them installed. But when we picked up the car, we found our summer tires no longer on rims. He claimed our winters hadn't been on rims and they used the summer rims for the new winter tires. Frankly, with nothing but my word against theirs, I left, and went over and over in my head every possibility of how my winter tires could have NOT have been on rims when I dropped them off, but it's really not possible. They were always on rims. I carried them up from my basement that morning (heavy). Nevertheless, through several follow up calls, the Garage was unwilling to truly consider that the mistake could have been theirs. He "asked his guys" about it, and they claimed there'd been no rims. "I don't know what to tell you," was the response Jeremy repeatedly gave. So, we gave up and have since gone to a new garage. Mistakes happen, but the disinterest in trying to work with us to actually consider and resolve the situation is why I can't recommend this place anymore. And lesson learned: take pictures of your tires before you hand them over to any garage.

Pierre felt he was expert enough to diagnose my car in the parking lot without actually bringing it in. He said I needed 4 new tires as they would not replace just 1 (car is AWD). I explained that the other tires were not that old and I was not interested in buying 4 new tires. He said they wouldn't replace just one, so they wouldn't touch the car, including putting air in what was believed to be a leaky tire. I told him I lived 45 minutes away and that he was just going to leave my car dead in his parking lot? He said it didn't matter where I lived, it's a run flat. I limped the car to the gas station, put air in it myself and took it somewhere else. As soon as the took the wheel off they could see the rim was cracked. The new garage took the time to actually look, and so they got my business. We ordered 4 new rims and tires. That could have been Kal Tires sale. When I called after to ask to speak to the owner, Pierre continued to make excuses about his sub par service and refused to give me the owners contact stating they would be too hard to get ahold of as they live in BC.
