A-16 was the first I called and Nabil, the owner, told me immediately that he had the parts I needed and he would call me back when they were ready. True to his word he called within an hour and about an hour later I had the spare window, which was $75, less than the $220 the dealership quoted. A-16 are an awesome business. They have used parts, gently-used parts, reconditioned parts, refurbished parts and can get you new parts as well. I had a small crack in my rear light unit that was going to cost me around $400 through the dealership to get the part. Nabil got me a replacement after-market, new part for $115. If you have any need for parts for your car, and are ok with gently used, then please give A-16 a call. If they don't have it they can get the part for you at way less than the dealerships.

I brought it to this Midas location in a panic as I could not afford 1300.00. They calmed me down, they treated me with respect, educated me on how the breaks work and charged me only $450.00. I saved $850.00 and learned a lot about how my car works. Paul and his workers are honest, reliable, trustworthy, and are great mechanics. If you don't understand why something needs replacing or fixing, they explain it to you in layman's terms. In the past I have always left mechanics feeling cheated or mistreated, and I have never left this Midas location feeling this way. If you are a single woman, or somebody that doesn't know much about mechanics and always feel as if you're being ripped off, I highly recommend Midas on Saint Laurent. While I still talking to the owner trying to ask questions about the inspection, I noticed his coworker is trying to lift my vehicle, I repeatedly asked him to stop lifting before I finished asking questions. He continued lifted the vehicle on the hoist. Then the owner says the brakes are not passing safety before he even checked the actual brake themselves. I asked what is the thickness of the brake is remaining made it failed. He did not answer. I asked again, he did not answer. I insisted multiple times, then he said it is not the brake. it is the rotors has rust on the side. Then he offered me a package to replaced all the brake pads and rotors. And told me it is only one hour left for getting the parts. I asked what is the quality and warranty of the parts he offered. He said it is good quality, initially stated it is lifetime warranty, I asked him to clarify what condition of the warranty, he then changed and said only 2 years of warranty. I asked if I can bring the parts for him to install, he said no. I ask if I can come back again with a new set of brake and rotor is installed to completed the inspection. He tried to dodge the question. At this time, he kept pushing me to order a new brake and rotor from him. I refused. He then said I need to pay him the full inspection cost before release the vehicle. All these happen within 5 minutes of the vehicle got inside the shop. Basically, he is taking my vehicle as a hostage at that moment with the vehicle hoisted. I asked he for a full inspection report. He said he will but provided nothing. I kept asking for a full report for his work, at the end, he wrote a six-words as an inspection, see the pictures. The whole time I was there were being pushed to install a new brake and rotor on the spot without knowing any details of the condition of the brake and rotor. Again, if there's a 0 star, I will give this a shop a 0 star.
