Stopped by on Memorial Day! Our server was a young lady whose name was very nice & friendly. Sadly, I cannot remember her name. Food was delicious! What a great place with a great view! Our waitress/hostess/busser Toni was awesome. She was attentive and friendly. I got the pistachio espresso, it was like sipping on heaven! Outstanding Food and Exceptional Service! We had a fantastic experience at the Stagecoach Restaurant in Sedona! The food was absolutely awesome--everything we ordered was delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. What really made our visit special, though, was our waitress, LuAnn. She was incredible! One of the people in our party has dietary restrictions, and LuAnn went above and beyond to make sure we understood our options and felt completely comfortable with our meal choices. She was extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our entire visit. She simply could not have been nicer! We were here for dinner on a Tuesday night, the place is big lots of seating, not many customers. We ordered their devil egg, comes with great presentation. And corn bread, that's a little over cooked, but tasty and spicy. I had their veggie tower, never had such thing before, it come out something with cheese all wrapped around it. And inside is eggplant and squash. Not as fancy i thought, would charge for 23 dollar for that! I don't like the cheese wrapped around, so i removed those totally. Wow! What an interior change from so long ago when this place was Sedona Bar & Grill! Thank goodness the BBQ smell drew our attention earlier in the week as the outside is still the same from years past. The interior is amazing, the staff are very friendly and our Beef Brisket sandwich melted in our mouths. Plus a pleasant surprise on the Napa Cabbage Slaw. We are from KC and get picky about BBQ. It was a very interesting visit but to keep it simple the food is good, service was fine, and the inside of the restaurant has been nicely updated. Looks like they can accommodate large groups as well. Plus there's a lot of parking spaces available. Overall it's a one and done for us because of communication issues that ultimately divided our family for lunch at 2 different restaurants on our vacation. I did speak to the manager about it and he's like well I'll use it for a teaching moment. Didn't seem like he really cared. That's not the type of environment we are looking for. We had a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner. When we arrived, there was a bit of a wait to be seated, about 30 minutes past our reservation time. The hostess seemed a little overwhelmed, and there was some confusion as she tried to keep track of the names of guests who had already checked in. Once we were seated, the experience improved. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, keeping our water glasses full and bringing fresh drinks right as we were finishing the last ones. He also took the time to go over the menu and share a few recommendations, which was helpful. In the end, we both decided on different steak options, along with a side dish each and desserts to finish. The restaurant itself had a clean, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with a fun, casual vibe. There was a mechanical bull set up in the middle of the space, along with a creative American flag display made entirely out of beer cans, which added some character to the place. Our steaks were cooked well; juicy, flavorful, and exactly how we ordered them. The sides were just as good. We tried loaded potatoes, mac and cheese with pulled pork, and asparagus, and everything was rich, satisfying, and well-prepared. My parents, husband, and I came to this restaurant tonight for dinner. We drove by earlier in the day so we decided to try for dinner. My parents both ordered the brisket meal. I had the loaded gunboard. My husband had the Bert's Chicken. My parents enjoyed their brisket. My mom also ordered the Cool Cowboy drink and said it was good. The sausage was really good for the gunboard. The brisket was good as well. The ribs weren't my favorite since the meat was a bit too dry. Maybe cooked too fast? My husband said the chicken was good.....then he was finishing up his chicken. He found a feather after he had already taken a bite. He couldn't finish the meal after that. We went with a group of 8 for an early dinner at the Stagecoach. We were immediately greeted by a wonderful smoky aroma. We were seated right away. Most of us chose dinner from the 4 course early bird menu which offered great choices for only $45. The first two courses came out expeditiously and were very enjoyable. I had the wedge salad and cornbread. The salad was loaded with blue cheese, bacon bits, and pickled onions. The main entree was the smoked brisket and my husband had the salmon and both were very enjoyable. The coleslaw was top tier. The disappointment came with the dessert service which was best described as inconsistent and not in keeping with the rest of the meal service. White-oak smoked meats in Sedona. It was hard finding reservations during New Year's week but Stagecoach had a 5:35 for 4 people so we went. You can smell an inticing bbq smell from the parking lot and I was excited. The inside has a classy western theme and we were seated near a decorative mechanical bull. Bison Short Rib: Leaner, more tender, and very slightly sweeter than beef. Very tasty and well smoked, highly recommend ordering this. The two kids destroyed this and me and the wife were only able to get a couple bits in. Brisket platter: The brisket was perfectly smoked and passed the pull test, held up and didnt crumble but could gently and easily pull apart. I didn't need a knife and could cut this with a spoon. The only thing I should have done was ordered sauce in the side, I don't like too much sauce and there was a lot on top. Coleslaw I loved with napa cabbage but this had too much mayo. Arizona Corn Chowder: Pepper, cheddar cheese, cascabel oil, bacon, scallions. We found corn chowder at other places but our favorite was from here. Cookie Skillet Desert: made to order so takes a out 10 minutes, comes in hot cast iron with ice cream on top. It was large and enough for 2 adults to share. Just a short drive from where I'm staying in Sedona, I tried this local restaurant. Started with a the wedge salad, followed by deviled eggs and bbq salmon as the entree. All were excellent. I asked for the salmon to be rare and the chef delivered. Maybe some of the best deviled eggs I have ever eaten. Dessert was the peach and blueberry cobbler, a perfect finish. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food because we ended up leaving before being seated. After a long day of hiking, my husband and I decided to stop in since we had passed by the restaurant a few times and wanted to try it. When we walked in, there was no one at the hostess stand, and the area looked quite messy with menus scattered around and things generally disorganized. The restaurant wasn't very busy--it was around 4 p.m.--and there were a couple of servers working. Both made eye contact with us, but neither acknowledged us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. After waiting about eight minutes, my husband asked the bartender if the tables in the bar area were open seating. He simply shrugged and said someone would be right with us. Visiting the Sedona area for a wedding, and have no clue what's good or not here. Jumped on Yelp and looked for something that might be tasty and near our hotel, and Stagecoach looked like it would work. The restaurant itself is very well put together. The bar area is very nice, high top tables around, a cool American flag mural on the wall, and a nice looking bar. The seating area for the place is also nice. The tables are spaced out nicely, there are some booths, and the lighting is dim, but not dark. Heck, there is even a mechanical bull in there. Ha. The food is classic BBQ/steak house fair. A good amount of appetizers, a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. They have a solid list of smoked fare, and some tasty entrees. The cocktail list is catered to bourbons, but looks like you can order pretty much any drink you would like. The pricing is fair, nothing crazy high, but not crazy bottom dollar. Now the food we tried was awesome. My wife went with the half rack of ribs. It came with two sides, she went with mashed potatoes with a cheese sauce, and the asparagus. She said that the ribs were probably the best she ever had. They were tender and fall off the bone, but not over cooked. The bbq sauce also had a great flavor, not too sweet with just the right amount of spice. The sides were also amazing. The cheese sauce on the mashed potatoes went perfectly together. The asparagus was cooked just right. I had their name sake cheese burger with a side of fries. They asked how I would like it cooked, I went with medium rare. The burger came out perfect, the temp was on point. The whole thing just worked, the aioli they used was so very tasty. The cheese and veg matched the meat perfectly. Even the ketchup was an in house smoked ketchup which was just awesome. And then there was dessert. A fresh baked peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It took about ten minutes to back, so it came out hot. And this thing was worth the trip alone. It was fresh and hot, but also cool and just the best way to end a meal. I think I might go back just for that cobbler tomorrow it was that tasty. The service was great as well. The restaurant was nearly empty (should have been my clue not to go) and she was yelling loudly at everyone at their table or when someone walked in. Apparently she thinks it's cute to call every single person by a pet nickname. While that might seem charming to some, it was quite condescending to hear her call senior citizens honey, sugar babies, sweetie pies, darlings, etc. Every single interaction she had with every single customer she yelled out new nicknames. We made a reservation and we're running ahead of schedule and thankfully they were able to accommodate us and seat us early. We ordered the brisket, the bison short ribs, and the portobello fries and everything was amazing! Our food came out so fast, we were shocked! We also got a couple drinks and both were lovely as well. I think the star of the show was the Portobello fries, we both could not get over how good they were! I was worried that the mushroom flavor would be too overpowering for my liking, but the breading and the seasoning complimented the umami flavor so well.
