Visited 10/6/2025 Well I was impressed with this family owned and run Restaurant. First very friendly owners as I was greeted with a smile. Nice amount of seating and clean booths. Well I decided to get my dinner to go to enjoy at my place. I ordered for an appetizer The Egg Rolls. Came with 4 nice crispy rolls and some sweet n sour sauce for dipping. $8.50 Nicely done. I will get these again. Next I ordered two entrées so I could sample their food. First I ordered The # 12 Dinner The Cashew Nut Shrimp. Delicious sauce and nice fluffy white rice . Lots of tender shrimp and veggies. Decent portion and at $15.50 it was priced fairly. Loved It. My favorite of the night was The House Special Chow Mein only $13.95. . Now that's a deal. Lots of goodies in this one. Extra Large Serving, enough for two to share. It was delicious. The menu is small but packed with flavor. We came in pretty hungry and filled up with very delicious and satisfying Chinese food. We had the king Pao chicken, but my favorite was the orange chicken and the house chow me in. Sooo good! We loved it!! Their Thai tea was also excellent. Their service was excellent! read more

There were only eight people in our Toyota Motorhome Rally group who came to dinner here on a Sunday night, at the suggestion of our annual event organizer. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. That is because me being Chinese, struck up a conversation with them. I did not speak as good Mandarin as one of the white people who went to China on business 26 times. I speak "Shanghainese" fluently, which the owners only spoke Mandarin and maybe Cantonese. For those of you who don't know, there's no such thing as "Chinese" language. Every city and even village in China has its own completely different language (not dialect) that a neighboring city such as Shanghai does not byspeak. The three main Chinese languages are Shanghainese, Mandarin, and Cantonese which is people in Canton (and Hong Kong) speak (featured language on Bonanza). How did this Chinese restaurant get started in such a way out place like Quartzite? The owner told me he had a friend who came from China and settled in Quartzite and beckon him to come and open up this Chinese restaurant at the old Stagecoach Steakhouse location. I think they've only been open about a year when we ate there last February 2024. Owner was a retired school teacher in China, who came to Quartzsite to open this restaurant. The food is what myself, a Chinese person, who knows what real Chinese food is, we regard this as American food, which real Chinese would never go out to eat. My entree pictured below is Green Pepper Beef, #6. The menu was very simple, just this one laminated page, see my photo below, all "American Food". I would give the entree selections three stars but someone who is a white American may rate higher because they don't know any better what REAL Chinese food is. Real Chinese food has nothing to do with a cook being chinese. Surely, authentic Chinese food as it is served in China, it's not something you would find in Quartzite, AZ. There are a handful of real Chinese restaurants in the Asian cultural district in Phoenix at Main St and Dobson and in the 99 Ranch shopping center at Chandler Boulevard and Dobson. Truly authentic Chinese food is also found in the San Gabriel Monterey Park area of LA county. You can identify those restaurants where everyone eating in there is of Chinese decent. You can tell by the restaurant's name "Stagecoach", it is about American food from the TV show that "Hop Sing" would eat on Bonanza. The food service at "Stagecoach" was so slow, that it took about an hour of waiting after we placed our orders, before all 8 got served their entrees, so we ate "staggered". Another reviewer mentioned such slow food service, too. But we were not in a rush. So overall 2 stars. No one said they were not satisfied with their selections. it got the job done. read more

Food was very subpar, the white rice was wet and low quality as well as all the food ingredients. Beef broccoli was water down sauce, tasted like precut broccoli from a bag. Plate our food was serve on was grimmy and tacky underneath like not well washed. Tea was warm not hot. Service from the man working was polite although he coughed without covering his mouth while he worked. Restroom had diluted liquid soap, I assume to save money and to be cheap. Seating booths were old and lumpy. It looked and felt like every cost cutting corner was cut including saving on quality dishsoap and food ingredients. I would rather have gone to fast food than a sit down on this experience. read more

It's the only Chinese restaurant in town (outside RV Show season). In mid-afternoon on a weekday, DW and I were the only patrons. We were seated promptly and cheerfully. The menu was pretty basic, typical small-town Chinese. DW chose the House Fried Rice, I chose the Kung Pao Chicken. The kitchen speed was overly long for an empty restaurant, and inconsistent. My plate came out alone. It sat in front of me cooling for about five minutes before DW's was delivered. The portions were modest. The Kung Pao was not bad, but unremarkable. The sauce was heavy on the soy and salt, and there was no detectable heat to the seasoning. (There was sriracha on the table, but that's entirely the wrong flavor.) DW said her rice was "good, very tasty," with bits of chicken, beef, and shrimp, though no detectable egg. I wouldn't make a trip to eat here, but if I were in Quartzsite for any length of time and had a yen for Chinese food, I wouldn't shy from another visit. read more

Now a Chinese restaurant. Limited menu. The Orange chicken only came with rice. No vegetables, no appetizer or soup. The Kung Pau chicken did not come with any soup or appetizer. The Kung Pau was served warm instead of hot and had little spice in it. Service was good. We will not return here. read more

Not a steakhouse- it's chinese. Food. Thai ice tea-- weak in flavor Egg rolls- skimpy filling of all cabbage, greasy Shrimp & Veg- bland and flavorless overall. Cabbage and broccoli were fresh and cooked well. Had to douse everything with soy and chili sauce to add flavor. They don't come back to check on you after they deliver your food they seemed a bit disorganized. People around me were asking for their beverages they had ordered. Their Wi-Fi was not working so they could only accept cash, but they didn't tell people that until they went to pay. They did not notify customers when they arrived or post a sign on the door. Customers were notifying other customers as they came in or out about the payment issue. There is an ATM in the restaurant but it shorted a woman $20 when she took $200 withdrawal. She was a very upset Senior. She contacted The number on the ATM machine and her only option was to leave a message. She was very upset with losing $20. read more

When we entered, the ambience was poor, but what the heck, we were in Quartzsite at its busiest time, so we ignored what we saw. They said to sit anywhere so, we picked a table with menus. We ordered Kung pao shrimp. It seemed like a long time for it to get to us. When it did come, it was slapped down in front of us, the server left without checking to see if we were ok. Actually we were not. We didn't have utensils or napkins and had to kind of yell across the room for forks. Back to our food. It was a plate of sad looking vegetables and shrimp swimming in a swamp of some kind of sauce that we couldn't identify. Whatever it was, it sure wasn't Kung pao. There wasn't a spicy pepper in sight and it didn't taste spicy either. Hungry and tired, we ate the lackluster stuff because we didn't think we'd have better luck with a second try! Yea, that's right, a steakhouse that only serves Chinese food. We arrived at 5:30 PM. We were seated at 5:45 PM. Placed our order at 6:45 PM. Finally, we served our meals at 7:40 PM. During this time, our waitress was totally confused. Constantly serving the wrong meals to everyone. Constantly getting orders wrong. Total confusion. Waitress took numerous orders before taking our order. The food was good but not worth a two hour wait and not getting what we ordered. Allow lots of time to eat here. First of all, this place is now a Chinese restaurant. The food is over priced and God awful. The shimp was from a box (frozen) and the fried rice tasted "off" so I did not eat it. The cook did come out and speak with me and I told him why I didn't want the rice. Fortunately, we were not charged for it. Yuck. read more

Went here during the RV show in January with a small group. They were very busy so we were willing to sit at separate tables. The weight staff is very nice, but seem to be overwhelmed. Service was very slow with Mel coming out at stagger times somewhere almost done eating, while others have not received their food. However, the food was worth the wait, fresh, delicious and hot, it was so good. We went back a second time I have been craving the place since. we were there around 5:30 on a Wednesday. was fairly busy but plenty of tables available. it was a husband/wife team taking orders, bringing out orders, cashiering, and cleaning tables. they worked as fast as they could which was okay for us as we were in no hurry. ordered chicken fried rice and the fried shrimp appetizers. the serving size of the fried rice was huge, but good huge! Super expensive, not much flavor. No wonton strips for soup. Plain rice, Can soda. They charge you for using a credit card. Waiter was nice.
