I took the single blood test lab that my hematologist ordered for me to do at LabCorp and did it (in Texas... where I live). Months later in September, LabCorp sent me a $980 bill for the single blood test. They had billed it against BCBS Florida. I called them and asked about it. I did the test in Texas and live in Texas. Why are they billing it to FL? They said it's because my doctor is in Florida. My doctor said she is licensed for Texas and ordered it appropriately. LabCorp doesn't care. They've been hounding me for $980 for one blood test. Ridiculous. I called and they told me I could do a "Financial Hardship Request" and that they won't keep sending me bill reminders while it's being reviewed. I did the Hardship request, e-mailed it back to the place they requested. I even e-mailed to request confirmation they received my application and let them know I still got bills. No reply. It's been months. I got a bill today telling me I had 20 days to pay or I go to collections. $980 for a blood test is a scam and ridiculous. NEVER DO LABCORP.
