We (2 couples) went there to watch the Vikings pre-season game. It was pretty empty to start. Linoa (sp) the bartender/server was fantastic. Attentive and fun. It was far enough from US Bank so no cost for "event" parking. The surprise was the food. It is a scratch kitchen and it showed. Our appetizers were fried pickles, cheese curds, and poppers. All great. 3 of us split a pizza which was loaded with toppings. I had the cajun chicken sandwich which was hot and spicy. Loved it. My wife and I had a $40 Groupon for Stadium. Tons of TVs line the walls and the Pedal Pub calls it home, so a lot of people start here with a few shots before their trip. There was only a big bachelorette party going on, and I think there was only the bartender taking care of everybody. Super nice guy though.The girls were starting early though at 11 AM. I ordered an IPA and we got the chicken philly cheese steak with a side salad, which was a nice side, and a Greek Gyro pizza with no mozzarella. The order took awhile, but I think it was because there was just one dude doing everything. The sandwich was perfect, nice chewy bread and lots of chicken. Really great. The pizza was thin crust with a wonderful white yogurt sauce base and slices of schwarma meat. Really good. Crispy and flavorful! The Surly Furious was a nice finisher to a great lunch! read more

It's a cross between a sports bar, a dive bar, and something else I can't quite put my finger on. The food is typical bar food, medium quality burgers and fries, and other stuff I haven't tried. But they did have a number of good craft beers, including two I hadn't even tried before. It also seems to be a hang out for local employees of strip clubs; I watched a drunk woman do a sexy dance behind the bar and fall into the popcorn machine. Having suggested this place to friends after using your Groupon before, it's pretty gross when I go today with a friend (having purchased the Groupon directly before coming, them, not me) to see a sign on the door saying as of the first of this month you're not honoring them anymore. Thankfully Groupon has better customer service, because we were able to get a refund. Cheap beer prices and decent bar food doesn't outweigh bait-and-switch-esque practice and wasting our time. Finally make it to the Stadium at 10:30pm on a Saturday, it wasn't very busy at all (one table eating closing out their tab 12-15 people in the establishment total), and me and one other stood at the bar for fifteen/twenty minutes without any acknowledgement or our drink orders taken. When we finally decided to walk out and head somewhere else, the two bartenders were discussing how awful it was a prior couple didn't leave a tip. What can I say? I love Stadium Pizza! I used to work near there so would visit often. I've been for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and late night before. For lunch, it's not usually very crowded. I usually either get a slice (which is plenty big) or split a 14 inch pizza. Their pizza is thin and crispy. I like their specialty pizzas (they have some unique topping combinations) and they have a good build your own list of ingredients. They have good drink specials as well. It definitely has a dive atmosphere. But, that's part of the charm. It used to be an adult book store and you definitely get that vibe. And they have Big Buck Hunter and TouchTunes. Also, they give your group a free pizza after downtown Pedal Pubs. Definitely stop by after you go on one. The only downside... it's a Packer bar. Sigh. read more

Anytime, let alone anywhere you happen to stumble upon a Green Bay Packers flag hanging from outside--whilst you are not in Green Bay is bound to surprise you with goodness. If you are a Packers fan of course. Stadium had been on my radar, and on a recent trip to town I finally was able to see about this joint. Walking in at 3:00pm on weekday, it was dead quiet with only another person perched at the bar. Not deterred at all, take a seat, you'll feel at home in seconds. People will fill the space very quickly especially if there is a game. The staff immediately greeted and served up a craft beer. Not a bad selection, there's a bunch of local varietals on tap as well as in bottles. It was too early for food, so I took in the memorabilia clad interior and could only imagine how rowdy and fun it would be during a game, whether it be football or hockey. The staff are friendly, fun and outgoing. There's plentiful seating from right at the bar to the scattered tables. Right as I was leaving, people were beginning to fill the place for the Wild game...hours left to go, so you can already tell the mood of the bar. Awesome place that won't break your wallet and totally satisfy you. I will be back the next time around--at a different hour when it's full on hunger pangs to nibble on some of the food. A good product with a lot of potential, being "marketed" by absolute idiots. The quality of the pizza is amazing. Seriously, some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. They have damn-near every topping that you can imagine, and then some. The pizza here easily out-classes Black Sheep down the road, but for some reason it's not being marketed as a gourmet pizza. The quality of the pizza is undercut by the blandness of the bar. When I first walked into Stadium Pizza, I felt as if I had been transported into a VFW in the middle of Wisconsin. I expected the pizza to be on par with a Heggie's frozen pizza, because that's what the atmosphere of the place conveys. The decor, the clientele, and the workers all have that "suburban" feel to them. It's hard to describe, but you'd know what I was talking about the second you stepped into the place. Rule #1 to opening a bar: Give the people a reason to drink there. There is literally no reason I can think of to drink at Stadium. There is no jukebox, no Golden Tee (or any games), no good beer (4 out of 6 of the taps are domestic lights! WTF?!), and no conversations to be had since you will probably be the only one there. My suggestion: Order a pizza for carry-out. That way you can swing on in, pick up an awesome pizza, and check out how NOT to set up a bar in downtown Minneapolis. read more

Cheapest drinks with the best service in the North Loop. The dry rub wings are my personal favorite. It does not come with celery but if you ask they will give a couple stalks for no extra charge. I ordered a pizza from these guys with pepperoni, onion, sausage, and garlic. When I got it there was probably a heaping tablespoon of diced garlic OR MORE per 2 square inch piece of pizza. It was like eating raw garlic cloves dipped in cheese. The garlic was under the cheese so it wasn't even cooked, just a spoonful of raw garlic with every bite. This would not earn a 1 star review in and of itself, shit happens. The way they handled it would get 0 stars if I could. I called and explained the problem and they told me they would give me another pizza half off. I explained to them that I had 95% of the pizza left and would be happy to return it, but would like them to make me a new one since the one they made was inedible. They pretty much told me to shove it. Horrible service, sub-par pizza. I gave them the opportunity 3 or 4 times to make it right and they got more rude each time I asked. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE THE GROUPON. This place is descent enough for a sports bar. The only reason we went here was to use the groupon which we were told after our check came that they will not honor the groupon. They said there is a sign on the door that says so. Two problems with that. 1. When was the last time you read every little sign when entering a bar? 2. The door was propped open so it was impossible to read the sign even if we were looking. I really feel bad for the staff because they are the ones who get the grunt of complaints about this but seriously this needs to be improved. Hands down the most chicken I have ever got in a Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, the sauce was the perfect thickness, the flavor was amazing, just all around great! We went there before we went to a show. We missed Happy hour with in minutes. There was a $1 domestic pints special that was still in effect! Well, the service was a bit slow. The food was pretty good and everything was pretty cheap. They had 4-5 big screen TVs on the wall but all but of them showing the same thing. Also they had cheese decorations on the wall. I wish there was a zero stars option. Literally the worst experience ever at a restaurant. We came in late for dinner and the place was basically empty when we arrived. There was another table and us. This was after we left two other places because they were packed... Should have been our first clue. We sat for 25 minutes and were not served. However, two young black girls came in and the male black bartender walked past us and immediately served them. I should add... We are white. My husband finally got up and grabbed his own menu. Finally the only white waitress came over. After we'd been passed by the other black bartender and waitess multiple times. We were 100% ignored by the other staff. It actually pains me to give this type of review, and I'm deeply sorry I have too, but it was so blatantly obvious why we were ignored. We are not judgemental or unkind people, and I'm sorry that I have to leave this kind of review. We waited almost 30 more minutes for our bill and left an estimated amount of cash under a plate and left. :( food was good, do there's that. read more

If you want delicious pizza, resonably priced pizza, and a quick delivery then Stadium is what you are looking for. This is about the only pizza we order now. You can always find a coupon online which is another bonus. Most of the time our food arrives in 30 minutes or less. They have a wide variety of toppings to order from - pickles being my favorite! Great pizza!!! Living close by, I have been receiving mailed menus from Stadium Pizza since it opened and I finally stopped by on a Friday evening. I wish I had stopped by sooner! Off-street parking on Washington Ave was good with those computerized meters. As another fellow Yelper mentioned, the pizza slices are HUGE and they are very generous with their toppings. The menu is simple and to the point and the prices are fair. I ordered the MVP 14 inch pizza to go and waited at the bar for about 15 minutes. The pizza was so, so, so good! The Canadian bacon was so yummy and crispy, not soggy and thick as were the other plenty of ingredients. The crust was perfect: not too thick and doughy and the 14 inch was more than enough for two people. Oh, the setting is somewhat like a sports bar, with nice TVs at the bar. I think it takes time for new business to get things going, so I would not rely too much on those negative reviews from last year. read more
