I've been reading so many rave reviews of this place that I new I had to try it out. I went for lunch on a Friday, and after circling the blocks a couple of times, finally found street parking. The place was bustling when I walked in, but there were only 2 servers, so the wait for a table (for 1) was about a half hour. I'm usually happy to just sit at the bar in such cases, but that wasn't an option either, since there were only 2 servers, there wasn't anyone stationed at the bar. A bit of an annoyance, but stuff happens. The menu was enticing ... hard to decide. I finally chose the Burger Dip, and was absolutely blown away. The roll was the star of the show. Crunchy, a bit sour (tasted like the dough had fermented a bit), exactly the right vehicle for holding that burger and not falling apart in the au jus. And the au jus was not a simple beef broth, it had a depth of flavor without being overwhelmingly salty. The fries were hot and crispy. When I had leftovers to take home, my server made sure that she brought a lidded cup so I wouldn't have to leave the au jus behind. The bar has a display of whiskeys that is quite impressive, and offer a multitude of whiskey-based cocktails and whiskey "flights" for tasting. I really want to try the mischievous manhattan. Came here with a few friends and the waiter got our orders mixed up. I ordered the regular meal and my friend ordered the smaller one. Our fries were swapped. Reasonably I thought perhaps the portion sizes of fries also differed between the two meals and kindly mentioned to the waiter that our fries were swapped. He pretty much just stared at us in awkward silence and said, "you guys could just swap the fries..." No duh we can just swap the fries but how do we know that the meal advertised for it's smaller portions didn't come with a smaller portion of fries as well as compared to the full size? A quick "my bad" would have been nice to hear, instead he made me feel stupid as if the thought of swapping fries never occurred. I simply wanted to make sure that I got the right standard amount of fries with my order versus the smaller order, especially since I was paying extra for the truffle fries. I met a friend here for an early dinner a few weeks ago and fell in love with their crispy delicious brussel sprouts and whiskey bacon jam! They don't take reservations and they are in downtown Bothell so parking is a bit of a B, but once you actually get in and seated you get to enjoy the laid back chill atmosphere and all their happy hour offerings. Our server was friendly and helpful in figuring out what gluten free options were available to me. They have lots of HH choices so I went for a glass of red that was excellent, the brussels they pan fried for me since they don't have a dedicated gf fryer, and the salmon sandwich on a gf bun. My friend had a salad and I ordered the husband the pop keeney sandwich to go which he said was pretty good. My salmon was cooked well and I loved the brussels. Bummed I couldn't have the fries because of the fryer but that's my issue for being celiac with an actual allergy. My coworkers and I planned out to go out to lunch for 2 weeks, and I decided on Stack since it was close to the office, the food looked amazing, and there were a lot of choices. We came here on a Thursday around noon. There weren't a lot of people inside. We sat outside, the host was extremely accommodating and let us pick wherever. He pushed a table together so the 5 of us could sit comfortably. It was sunny, and the outside booth table has an umbrella for shade. They have a burger of the month (The Big Mac Stack) and a shake of the month (Strawberry and Mascarpone) that both sounded amazing. I was very close to getting that shake, but self control was at a high point with a picture of me in my wedding dress on my mind. My friend ordered the triple berry shake and let me try some, it was delicious. My other coworker helped me out and got the Big Mac Stack so we could split. I went with my orginal choice that I had decided on 2 weeks ago, the Banh Mi burger. I also got a side of the crispy brussel sprouts. The food did take a while to come out. But it was worth the wait. The Banh Mi burger was FANTASTIC. The flavors just melded together very very well. It was juicy, the mayo and veggies in the burger made it so good. The veggies gave it a nice texture. The big mac was fantastic as well. The Stack sauce was on point to the original big mac sauce. It was a little bit more well done then was ordered (he ordered medium, it came out medium well/on the verge of well done) but it was still very tasty. The brussel sprouts were a disappointment. I thought crispy mean it would be pan fried. It was battered and fried. I ended up only eating about half and just leaving it there. The whole time we were there, it was pretty quiet. The service was very friendly and accommodating. It was a little more then I would've to spend for lunch. I am already drooling about coming back here. LOCATION & PARKING // This place is located in downtown Bothell on the corner. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and can seat a ton of people. I tried Bahn Mi burger and it was tasty. I really wanted to try every burger on the menu, they all sound delicious. I got the waffle fries and they were cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy plus they give you 3 dipping sauces! I ordered the root beer on tab and they said it t would be a little extra but it took them awhile to bring it out so they didn't up-charge me, which was nice of them. The servers were awesome and super knowledgeable about the whiskeys on the menu. We tried the three pepper bomb burger with the Parmesan truffle fries, a side of onion rings, and the Oregon whiskey flight. This is a great place in Bothell, doing great takeout food during COVID. The staff have a great system in place for pick ups and the place was spotless. On a rainy evening, I craved comfort food and this place which I've been meaning to visit pre-COVID, hit the spot. I ordered the Fatted Sow burger, medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. I also opted for a side of Gorgonzola waffle fries (with the jack it up option!), and they were so flavorful! The food was ready upon my arrival, and the packaging was great, none of the food was soggy which is quite the achievement for takeaway! After a long hike at Mt Rainier, the hubs and I stopped by on our drive home to give Stack 571 a try! Soooo happy we did! Upon entry the hostess cleaned and sanitized our table for us and I was very impressed by their Covid practices and contact tracing communication. We were then served a fresh cold pitcher out of a spirits bottle paired with the cutest little glasses that you can possibly imagine. We each ordered a cocktail and we had the loco moco fries to start which we highly recommend with their house made cheese curds. For meals I got the fried chicken sandwich and my husband got the jimmy burger. The ingredients were all locally sourced and SUPER fresh! We enjoyed every single bite and each took home half our sandwiches to enjoy later. Before we left one of the employees, I'm thinking she was the manager or owner stopped by to personally ask about our food and service and told us that you can also order any of the burgers as sliders so I stead of 1 burger you can try 2 for the same price but as minis!!! Who doesn't love the idea of a burger and whiskey bar? Stack 571 has a great concept but still needs some work on its execution. My friends and I came by the restaurant on Friday night for a later dinner. A restaurant that doesn't accept reservations, it was a noticeably busy night and our group of six was seated in the bar after about 30 minutes. The menu was promising with an extensive list of signature burgers, sandwiches and cocktails. I opted for the Big Kahuna, which features fresh pineapple, kimchee slaw and sesame chile teriyaki aioli. I expected a little more of a kick from the kimchee and chile teriyaki aioli, but it was still a flavorful combination. It was interesting to note that the meat was pounded flat, resulting in a much thinner patty (maybe for easier stacking?). As with most gourmet burger restaurants these days, sides are not included and are an add-on to the meal. We tried the tempura green beans, waffle fries and Parmesan truffle fries. My favorite was the tempura green beans because of their unique taste and least favorite was the waffle fries. Unfortunately, the overall hecticness gave our experience a sour aftertaste. First off, our server told us that they were out of green beans and if we wanted to swap for fries instead (which we were fine with). But it looks like there was some miscommunication between the kitchen and staff because both the green beans and fries ended up coming out. Our food also took a long time to come out, with one of the side dishes being forgotten and being brought out after we were all finished. It was very hard to flag down our server for more water, etc. and she stopped by maybe once during the meal. At the end though, we did appreciate that the manager coming over to apologize and offering a percentage off our meal, making sure to remove the extra charge of the green beans and the missed side dish. Just an FYI, prices are definitely on the higher side as well - if you have a burger, side and a drink, your bill most likely will fall within the $30+ range. In the end, I think the restaurant has good potential with tasty burgers and drinks, but needs to tighten up on its turnaround time and service. read more

Busy place! Our first impression started off well. We were told it would be a 30 min wait which we were fine with. 10 min later a table was ready. Under promise, over deliver! I like it. I think the first bad sign of our experience here was the buffalo calamari. We saw this on the menu on Yelp prior to coming here and was a big reason we wanted to try it. It looks much tastier than it is! We didn't expect the long and rubbery strips. The taste was there, the heat was just enough, but the texture could be better. Too soft and rubbery. Would be better if it was crispy. I ordered the caprese grilled sandwich which was very unlike me. But sounded too good. And it was! It was great. Loved it. My wife had the salmon sandwich which she also really enjoyed. So while we came here expecting amazing appetizers and medicore burgers and sandwiches, it was the opposite for us. I would order that sandwich again. The waffle fries were okay but they don't give you very many. The sauces that come with it are really good but we didn't even try the "bbq" sauce. The color of it was too unusual and we were happy with the other two. One thing that was a big downer for me, as a huge whiskey fan, was the drink I came in for. I ordered the Smoke Stack Maple Fashion with the cool smoke in the glass. I have had something similar before in Canada and have craved it ever since. I had wanted to take a video of the smoke dissipating to show my family and make them jealous but the server pulled the cover off it immediately so all the smoke escaped. Bummer! (Note to management, allow the customer to pull the cover. People love to take pics and video and it creates virality on social media. Free marketing for your establishment.) But that wasn't really the issue with the drink. It was all a bit too gimmicky for me. The smoke smell was very much a mix of matches and campfire. Overwhelming the senses. On top of that they use regular soda ice which is too tiny to allow you to sip the whiskey without the ice blocking you. So order without the ice if you are as picky as I am. But I will say, after that drink, I was flying high! woohoo! It got the job done. So while we sat there, enduring the crazy noise level, looking around... we couldn't help but feel like we were at a Red Robin. The amount of noise and children screaming was just too much. We usually like going to louder places because we ourselves have a sometimes screaming 4 year old with us. But there is a limit. On one side it was nice to see all the families there. Families SHOULD have a place like this where adults can adult and kids can be kids. But I can't help but feel a hipster identity crises with the interior, menu, the tiny glasses and paper towel rolls on the table and clientele that come in. I don't think this place knows what it is quite yet. I'll keep reading reviews to see if anything changes before we go back. There are too many whiskies for me to try to not go back. It taste so fresh and healthy that I even forgot I was drinking alcohol My first reaction was "ooh this taste like Green Apple"! 100% recommend! The burgers are great, they never disappoint! I ordered the 571 burger (basic as burger) but it taste great, I wish I would've said Medium for my meat( I forgot), but it was still good. My husband ordered the burger of the month (Lucy Juicy) and he was really hesitant in ordering because had Blue Cheese & he hates it. I he said it was really good, he couldn't even taste the blue cheese, it was really well paired with the bacon and the meat (the meat was stuffed blue cheese and bacon). My only take would be for more fries- I LOVE FRIES- & I want a really good chunk of fries with my burgers! but they taste really good! What a wonderful addition to the downtown Bothell area. I'm excited to have a burger/whiskey bar close to home. Stack 571 has a laid back atmosphere and maintains the balance of a nice comfortable social gathering spot. The combination of delicious burgers and 112 available whiskeys helped spark our curiosity to give this place a try. The burger/whiskey bar has touch of metal industrial mixed with rustic wood. The seating areas are divided between dining and bar. We decided to sit on a high top table in the bar area. The menu contained a list of whiskeys, beers, cocktails, and whiskey flights. The food list even had options for vegetarian and seafood. I ended ordering THE 571 with Tillamook Cheddar and a side of truffle fries. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. The truffle fries were tasty and addictive. For drinks, I ordered the smoke stack maple fashioned. The drink was a delightful mix of Jim Bean bourbon, maple syrup, aromatic bitters, and apple wood smoke. The drink was served with smoke still trapped in the glass. The smoky flavor added depth to the drink. I also ordered the double improved whiskey which had a hint of absinthe. The drink had a wonderful sweet taste. Tried out Stack 571 last night and was thoroughly impressed - Bothell is up and coming!! We got there just before happy hour ended - $6 cocktails were tasty and bites were good value. Pulled pork sliders were $3 each - good size and delicious! This goes for the buffalo calamari as well... We split a burger, which ended up as fork & knife since it was so tall. The "Double Improved Whiskey" cocktail was amazing - subtle sweetness and Luxardo balanced perfect. The high ceilings make it a bit loud, so don't come here for intimate quiet meal, but perfect for a fun lively outing. This place is close to our house, so we will be back! read more

This place is quite the treat. I'll admit that I had low expectations coming in. How special could a burger joint be, right? Boy, was I wrong. This spot was perfect for watching some football. We also tried the parmesan fries AND the waffle fries. Crispy and delicious - and they came with three fantastic sauces. No plain ketchup here! We also had the fried green tomatoes (yum! They're even made with cornmeal), a boozy eggnog shakes, and donuts that were killer! They are donut holes rolled in cinnamon sugar deliciousness with this salted caramel sauce. My wife and I had a great experience at Stack despite dropping in on a whim, which is rare for us since we like to vet restaurants on Yelp before dining at them. And in all fairness it was a slow afternoon so I'll update this review if my future experiences differ from the one I had this past weekend. Stack has only been opened for a brief amount of time, so I'll also update that if the great service changes. Speaking of great service, we were greeted by both the hostess (who even opened the door for us) then again by one of the two bartenders who ended up waiting on us that day. Both bartenders waited on us and both were friendly and attentive throughout. They let us taste several beers for free before landing on a favorite, which was hard to do since they have an excellent beer selection. They also offer freshly made spicy corn nuts that paired well with the beer, and soda water. None of this they charged us for, which is a great way to try different options before committing to one or two. In terms of the food, we ordered the Stack burger and salad. The burger was fantastic and I'm not even a huge fan of burgers. It came with cabbage instead of lettuce which gave it a nice, crunchy texture that tasted great. First time visiting there and won't go back. We got the Gorgonzola waffle fries which were ok. The drinks are underwhelming and inconsistent in taste. Had two margaritas and they tasted completely different. We ordered the poutine burger which sounded amazing and ordered it med-rare and it was raw raw raw. Cold to the touch raw. We ordered onion rings with the burger and the onions were raw. The batter was good but the onion itself was so raw it was overwhelming. Visited here early April 2024 for dinner. Restaurant half full when 2 of us walked in. 3 mins later we still were at the host podium. Staff were busy moving about so we walked up to the bar to view the great selections of spirits. No one greeted us, said, be with you shortly. Nothing at all. We chose our own table and that didn't sit well with staff that asked us who sat us here. She left to get us water and we just left. Too many good places around Bothell now. Had the worst experience the last time we came here, sarcastic abusive waiter. Cold food. And he culminated the visit with a fat joke at one guest's expense! Who does that??? That guest's chicken burger was also ice cold. The waiter was rude to all of us but in retrospect seemed particularly focused on bullying the quietest guest. My friends & I keep wondering if it was racism because they were the only brown people we could see seated in that section and the waiter was white. I think if we hadn't been so hungry we would have left halfway through and I really wish we had been spared the fat joke & cold food. If we wanted cold food we'd order out. We've given it a few tries and the food isn't that great for how bad the service has been. I always tip everywhere, even for bad service, but one of my guests is depressed now. I brought quiet polite people here, and it was embarrassing. This waiter would've gotten a $40 tip from me if he hadn't been a weird jerk. $25-30 per person to risk embarrassing your friends or family. Amazingly crappy, never going again, telling all my neighbors to avoid. Eat anywhere else in downtown Bothell, this is a chain anyways. read more

Super tasty dinner here last night had us regretting our decision the night before! Wish we would have found this place sooner on our trip vs the very last night. Oh well now we know for next time. Definitely a tasty place with excellent service. Our server Jill was super informative and very helpful with recommendations. We started with the Gorgonzola waffle fries fully loaded with pulled pork. Hubby ordered the 3 pepper bomb chicken sando and I decided on the Fatted Sow burger w/ bacon whiskey jam. Every single bite was soooo good!! They have 179 whiskey, bourbon and scotch choices on the wall along with some interesting adult milk shake choices. They have a whiskey passport that earns you some great rewards. There are a few locations and we were excited to hear there is one location in Vancouver close to home. Jill also told us about the happy hour nights and specials for future reference and their interesting burger special. Certainly will be back to visit and try a different burger and a whiskey flight.
