I like Stacheys. Most of the time they are pretty good. Definetly good size portions. The people who answer the phones could be a little bit friendlier but so can't I. read more

We attempted to order delivery and was turned down as they do not deliver to our particuler street in Salem (Same town). No justification was given. So we instead we ordered from Romano's and had a good pizza from there. read more

You know? The only demerit was I didn't see the pizza slices - awaiting sale - under a hot lamp! While coming here for the first time for lunch? I decided to try an Italian sub - it was supposed to be small, but holy crap! This was not a small sub and it totally filled me up! I'll be honest - it's not as good as the ones in Chicago - but it definitely held its own! Now something I did get while I was waiting for the sub? A Whoopie pie! It's kind of like a hostess Susie Q. I haven't seen one of those on sale in decades so of course I had to try one! Man, it was great! Will I come again if I'm in the area? Yup. read more

We ordered large cheese pizzas and half tray of chicken fingers for a party. Everything was delicious! Highly recommended!

Pizza has shrunk in size and quality has gone down with the price going up .I have been a customer for years and are very disappointed in the failure to deliver the quality product that made them the best pizza in Salem read more

Hadn't been in a while and wow has it changed. Prices went up , quality went way way down. Chefs salad was basically just lettuce. Steak and cheese Sub was pretty slim on the steak . Got a disgusting sandwich made wrong. Called to get it fixed, the girl on the phone argued with me because 'well he said he made it right' (as I had the wrong sandwich right in front of my eyeballs), and ultimately they didn't fix it and handled it atrociously. Left my number with the woman at the front desk to get a call back from a manager, and after a week they still haven't bothered reaching out. Left a review, they said 'please reach out so we can make this right', and despite the fact they have my number... STILL nothing a week later. They can't make it right, at this point. Atrocious customer service. There are plenty of other sub and pizza shops in the area with friendlier staff and better managers. read more

Absolutely amazing pizza--never disappointed. The crust is perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of crispness and chew. The sauce is flavorful without overpowering the toppings, and the ingredients always taste fresh and high quality. Every visit delivers the same consistent taste and great service, which keeps me coming back. read more

Great food and people :) very clean atmosphere. You can tell they take pride in their work and food :)

This review has nothing to do with the food. It's to do with the rude cashier. She just give out rude attitude. She made a remark to me when I asked if the bag on the counter was my order and even my daughter who was with me, found her extremely rude. read more

You drive a long way to get a couple of their pizzas and when you get home 1 is very barely cooked and the second box is empty. They have offered a refund but 45 minutes travel time makes it moot. read more

We have been going here for a couple of years and noticed a change lately, so not sure if ownership changed or staff. The other day I ordered an Italian sub with everything and when I got home and opened it, it was just meats and peppers. Ordered $200 worth of food for a work event two days in a row ($400 total). About 4 Large Pizzas, some salads, fries, onion rings, calzones ,etc. Plus 4 x 2L bottles of soda. The food is great. I can't lie about that. But man................ Day 1, they asked me on the phone if I wanted all the paper items (cups, utensils, plates and napkins). Threw it all in a bag for me. Day 2, pretty much a repeat order. I reminded them to include all the paper items, and they said only the plates and utensils for the salads were free. They actually charged me $4 for cups for dinks for the 4 x 2 liter bottles of soda. And they were going to charge me for the "extra" utensils. I guess people in NH use their fingers to eat. The manager got on the phone, I wasn't angry with him, just pointed out the inconsistency between the 2 days. He apologized and said he would speak to the staff from the previous day for making the mistake of not charging me. I said "I got over $200 worth of food from you both days. How do you expect me to drink the soda? Out of my hands? LOL!" Again he was very nice and apologized and said that was ownership. He said it wouldn't make a difference if it were $1000, I'd get charged. Fast forward to the delivery. The delivery driver is always great. Nice guy. I always make sure to tip him and I hope he doesnt have to share his tips. He dropped off my order. They gave me an extra pizza. I said to him "I think you dropped this off to me by accident" . He said no, when you order so many pizza's they give you one for free. So another inconsistency, they owe me a pizza from the day before then! Additionally, you are going to argue with me over plastic cups for $4, but will hand out a Large Cheese pizza for free? Stepping over a dollar to get to the dime! What a mess this place is. Inconsistent!!! If you order from here, make sure you bring your own Stanley mug, or Solo cup, as well as a fork and knife. LOL! read more

Pizza was fantastic. My experience here has been improving over my last few visits. Big fan of

Hadn't ordered food from Stachey's in over 10 years and I won't be ordering again in my lifetime. Called in for a half hawaiian, half "house-deluxe" pizza with a side of fries. The girl on the phone sounded confused at first but said they could do it. Didn't tell me my total over the phone...First Red Flag. I get there 25ish minutes later and noticed orders just sitting on a shelf...no heating lamp or anything...2nd red flag. She tells me my order was $27.52 and asks if I want a receipt, but I was only given a credit card receipt not an itemized...3rd red flag. I get home and open the box and I'm immediately dismayed. Half of the crust was burnt, the other half was raw. Looked as if they left half the pan hanging out of the oven. Some of the toppings didn't even appear to be cooked, just tossed on after they pulled it out of the oven. My fries were cold and tasted like...cardboard. I decided to put a couple slices and some fries in the oven to finish cooking. Even after my attempt, the crust under the toppings was soggy and doughy; I couldn't even lift the slice to my mouth without everything sliding off. Despite dousing the fries in white truffle oil, freshly grated parmesan, sea salt, and fresh parsley they still tasted like cardboard. Disappointed is an understatement. I threw the remaining slices and fries right into the trash. Not even worth my time asking for a refund. Since the Covid-19 pandemic I've made a point of only ordering takeout from local businesses. But what's the point when you can come to expect consistency from a chain? PS: I was so annoyed when I went outside to toss that junk into the trash bin that I forgot to put the lid on. Went out this morning and not even the raccoons touched that slop! Usually I would have a mess to clean up in the yard. read more

Owner clearly couldn't care less about employees, place is super hot and they have everyone running around. Disgusting honestly miserable

I called to place a take out order and had the gal taking the order repeat it back to me to ensure that there would be no miscommunication about what we wanted. (There have been order errors in the past.). Upon opening the order at home, the order for steak tip salad arrived looking exactly like a grilled chicken Caesar salad! How annoying! And to make matters worse, when I called to complain about the mix up and a total cost that was different from what I was told on the phone when I placed the order, I was told that the prices posted on their online menu "went up". Last visit for us, Stachey's. read more

Everything at Stacheys is amazing! Sometimes the delivery time is long but it's worth the wait!

The large cheese pizza is enormous!! It was good but pretty standard as pizzas go. The chicken alfredo was average - chicken and pasta were flavorful and nicely cooked - though the alfredo sauce was quite watery for my taste. However the takeout box was packed to the top which was nice. read more

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill. I ordered an Italian sub and whoever made it decided to put on layer of meat on the sub and a shit ton of veggies. I'm not a person to write bad reviews, but I had enough of this please. Calling for an order ahead is useless, 3 times I have placed orders and when arriving there the person that took my order in detail claims that my order wasn't placed. I used to LOVE this place but today I was so disappointed. Heres the positives: the Syrian bread that comes with the salad is to die for and the large subs are enormous. We got a turkey sub, buffalo chicken sub and chicken teraki salad. Very disappointed. The turkey sub was fine but how do you really mess that up right? The buffalo chicken sub was cold and the cheese wasn't even remotely melted. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting around all day and everything was falling out the bottom of the sub because the bread was so soggy. The salad was lack luster and their idea of Italian dressing was straight oil with some vibegar mixed in, no flavor at all. read more

Needed a decent slice in a hurry and they provided! Easy to get to and quick. Eat there, now.

Felt like pizza after shopping, so we stopped in here. Didn't order ahead, but had a fresh pizza ready in about fifteen minutes. For the pizza, we got a large Flortenine. We had never been to stachey's, so we ordered a large (just the two of us) because pizzas vary in size, even when the size is printed next to it. Anyway, we have enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Granted, we also got a greek salad, and the wife was feeling like the buffalo chicken. I thought the greek salad was fine, nothing terribly special, but ingredients were clearly fresh, which is a good thing. Wife thought the buffalo chicken was on the greasy side; we have seen buffalo chicken served grilled or fired, this was clearly breaded and fried. I am not one to enjoy crust (I usually leave it), but Stachey's passes my test. Not too thick, but not so thin that it become a cracker. And there are some lovely "well done" brown/black parts. That is the perfect pizza crust for me. Being that we live in the area now, we will surely be back. read more

Pizzas, subs, salads galore! I love that their food comes in heaping servings to share, not to mention they always have good-looking people at the register. Everything is made to order and their prices are super reasonable for passersby of the strip mall that Stachey's is located at. I am a firm believer that Stachey's beats out The Upper Crust in flavor (and employer practices). Will I be back? You betcha! read more

We just got our pan pizza and a steak bomb delivered tonight. We realize that this pandemic is taking it's toll on everyone and restaurants are stressed out with all the take-out orders. But: Our pizza was so burned we had to throw it out. The steak in the steak bomb was also burned and not edible. So that means you have two people who don't know a damn thing about cooking. Disgraceful. The delivery guy had to call for directions because the girl who took the order couldn't write the address down correctly. Another looser. Great night - - - $28.00 FOR NOTHING !!!!!!!!!! One other thing, the delivery guy was very nice but he was not wearing a mask when he came to the door. We are a senior living association and need to be careful. read more

So this a middle of the road rating because we got two different types of pizzas; deep dish and regular. The first was a white pizza with garlic and basil as a thick pan. It was very good and I wished we stayed with it. We ordered the house special thin crust which was horrible. It was so soggy the pie would not come out of the box. There was too much sauce and the sauce tasted like ketchup. Quest for good pizza continues. read more

Haven't had the pizza so that review is TBD. The steak and cheese sub is the best one one I have had in years. It's huge, filled with steak, and did I mention it's huge? Some may think it's costly but I'll gladly pay $12-13 bucks for an almost two foot long sub stuffed with meat. Also, the salads are really good, I usually get the Caesar with Buffalo chicken fingers, their buffalo sauce really does it for me. Everytime I order from here I know it's good, and it certainly is, highly recommend. read more

A great pizza and large subs. I recommend this spot. It's cozy and has cool sports pics on the walls.

Stachey's has been a staple pizza shop on route 28 in Salem for decades. Now that I've been in the area more, I stopped by. Deep dish or thick crust Sicilian-Style pizza, is something delicious when made correctly and a disaster when not. I decided to go for this test. Ordered a thick crust half pepperoni pie. The crust was cooked perfect: airy and chewy but substantive and lightly charred (key if you're doing it correctly). Generous amount of cheese and the pepperoni was curled and cooked to a wonderful crunch. Flabby pepperoni (Sal's) is NOT a good thing. At $11.00 this was a fair price and will serve two comfortably. I'm an Italian pizza snob and thus do not award 4-stars on a whim. I'll be back to check out their regular pizza and calzones. read more
